Lovely house in a great location

Lovely house with everything you need in a great location a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the beach. We had a great time making the most of the pool and the huge amount of floaties available.

Fabulous stay

The villa was ideal for a large family including a baby and a 3 year old . All safety gates installed. Loads of space and well equipped. The bedrooms were amazing with comfy beds. It is ideally situated to walk to the beach and the lovely town square. Which had lots of character and small winding streets. Definitely stay here again

Amazing villa! Exactly as advertised!

We had the best time at Casa Rosina! The villa was perfect for our family, including two small children. We loved the pool, the location was amazing, and overall had a blast. We would highly recommend.

Nice big villa

We enjoyed our stay here, Villa was big enough for all the quests and pool was awesome. Some of the necessities like toilet paper or trash bags were in limited in supplies but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

This villa is just perfect, we were 6 friends of over 40 years, the villa is spacious and has everything you need. The pool is lovely and we had lovely late nights sitting under the fairy lights in the bar by the pool. Ferragudo is lovely and a great base for seeing the Algarve. Would highly recommend

Sunny townhouse in the Algarve

This lovely townhouse is at the top of the hill up many twisty little roads, in a neighborhood that reminds me of Florida—lots of white townhouses stacked up the hill. This is an expat retirement community so not much of the original Portuguese fishing community feel left. The townhouse is 4 levels—a rooftop sun deck with views of the ocean, three bedrooms (master with bath, 2 bedrooms with shared bath) on the 1st floor (2nd story to people from the US), open living room/dining room with well stocked kitchen on the ground floor, with lovely deck, then walkout basement with two bedrooms and shared bathroom, exits to the pool level on the final lower level. The house is sunny and spacious—definitely made for large groups. Beautiful pool and large sitting area, BBQ, lemon trees. There are lots of stairs, so if people in your group have problems with stairs, be forewarned. It was very comfortable. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Sagres. There are lots of restaurants just down the hill—east walk— and the beach is a 10 minute walk. The port area is lovely. Perfect home if you want a sun/pool/beach vacation. The owner Gina is super easy to communicate with, very nice. Easy checkin. Just note that the lower walkout basement does have a mildew smell common in seaside places.

60th Birthday Portugal Trip

We had a wonderful stay for 8 nights in the quaint active fishing community in Portugal. 4 couples and had a blast. Gina was a great host who was very quick to respond to questions. Never over promised and under delivered. We got exactly what we expected. Would definitely rent there again if we go back to that area.

Perfect for a couple of families

Great villa in a great spot, perched on the top of the hill in Ferragudo with a short walk to the main square and a short walk to the main beach. Swimming pool area was beautiful and felt private, lined with some lemon trees which all added to the charm. Kitchen terrace perfect for breakfast and lunch to get out of the sun. Roof terrace absolutely perfect for those early evening glasses of wine. A few bits of furniture were starting to fray around the edges, but I'm sure that will be taken care of in time for the new holiday season next year (plus the front door sticks a bit, nothing a bit of sanding down wouldn't take care of). All in all, bar some small cosmetic improvements (which won't detract from your stay) it was perfect for what we needed it for - local restaurants all excellent (the Indian in the square is actually the pick of the bunch) and the check in process was completely smooth, arranged via Whatsapp. I look forward to visiting again.

Beyond our expectations!

Everything about Casa Rosina was amazing! Gina your home is beautiful and very clean. We had a group of 8 of us the first two weeks (my husbands family). When they .... hated to leave....my family arrived, group of seven of us. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. If we weren’t touring around we stayed and enjoyed the huge private pool. At night we sat outside around the fire pit. Not only was the house exceptional, but the whole area of Ferragudo was beautiful and easy access to everything within walking. The village square had lots of restaurants and gift shops. Also visited all the local pubs at night. Ashley, the pub owner, gave my brother-in-law a guitar and he entertained the crowd. Everyone loved his playing and singing. He even offered him another gig to come back lol! We had a few cars rented for touring to other places, but you could easily just stay there for two weeks without a car, lots to do within walking. Beach bars were lots of fun. We hiked the coastline to Carvoeiro. The boys rented mountain bikes for three days and were gone for the day. The girls took the water taxi to Portimao for some shopping. Thank you again Gina! And was so nice to meet Kerstin, Manager, she is a lovely person. Hope to return one day for longer than a month. Carolyn W.

Lovely getaway

We had a wonderful time in this well-maintained property. Kitchen was well-stocked, beds were comfy, and Gina was very easy to get in touch with. I loved the lemon and orange trees surrounding the pool, and we made daily lemonade and orange juice! We walked to town and the beach daily. Thanks for a great time - we would definitely come back!

Lovely Property and Location

This is a lovely property in a very pretty location. The villa is well equipped with lovely pool area. The bedrooms were very pretty. We had a three year old with us so the games cupboard was well used in the evenings. Ferragudo is small and not overly touristy. The square full of bars is delightful. The beaches are nearby and again delightful. The locals and the tourists were all very friendly. We were sorry we were only there for a week. I would certainly recommend this villa and the help from both Gina and Kerstin. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Beautiful property and area

I cannot recommend this property enough. We travelled in a party of 12 as a family with young children. Kerstin the property manager was fantastic from day one when we had issues with our hire cars at the airport and she couldn't help us enough. Ferragudo is beautiful and if you are a fish lover get down to the harbour where the fish come straight off the boats onto the barbecue. The beaches in and around Ferragudo are fantastic for all whether you're on a family holiday or romantic break. The villa itself was perfect, set on 3 three floors with an additional roof terrace it comfortably housed 12 of us. The pool was very popular and we are already missing it. There is a lovely little bar area next to the pool along with a barbecue and the pool is lined with lemon and lime trees. We are already planning a return to this area and if this property was available again we would definitely snap it up. Big thank you to Gina pre holiday for all your useful information and to Kerstin during the holiday for your help. We would all highly recommend this villa.

Exceeded our expectations

Casa Rosina was everything we had hoped for in our holiday property and more. It is ideally positioned in Ferragudo just a short walk down the prettiest street to the town and a short walk down the hill the other way to the beach. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of fridges, which we loved. The family also loved the pool and the bar area where we spent a lot of time. Communication with Gina , the owner, and Kersten, the lady who manages it out there for them, was good at all times. They were both very helpful and thoughtful. I can't recommend it highly enough and am sure we will return.

It’s all about the pool!

Great location for town and beach. Noisy though with constant dog barking and seagulls. House has good accommodation for 8 but struggles a bit with the full 12. Unfortunately the plumbing was having problems during our stay which didn’t help. Could do with a good clear out of accumulation of things previous occupants have left behind. Pool box and old takeaway boxes spring to mind. Pool area lovely although spoilt a bit by broken plant pots and needs sweeping most days. Roof terrace a bit unloved but could be really nice. Some cleaning things would have been a nice touch as we were there for 11 days and a quick clean round every couple days would have kept things a bit fresher. All in all a good house for location, fab pool and good social areas.

Fabulous Villa in a peaceful location

Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay at this lovely villa. We found it to be better than what was described as they had upgraded 2 bathrooms and they were beautiful. We spent most of our time around the fabulous pool area and enjoying the bar with a great fridge which kept the beers chilled nicely 😎. The kitchen has everything you would need, although we ate out most nights. The villa is situated at the end of a very quiet street, only a short walk to the beach and the village square where you find restaurants, bars and a few shops. Thank you for our basket of goodies on arrival which was a lovely touch. All in all a fabulous week spent at Casa Rosina and would highly recommend it to anyone, my only negative ... the week went in far too fast. Thanks for everything

Wonderful family spot

Lovely location, house is as described and has all that you need to fit large or multi family vacation, plenty of room to sleep, hang out and play by the pool. Nice starter basket was on hand to help us get started on our holiday and local shop /bakery was a close walk away and larger grocery only a few minutes drive. Kids and adults loved the whole vacation and house. Nice cozy town with great restaurants by the beach one called Club Nau (great views of beach and cocktails) recommended by owner was great we went twice. Property is well situated to go east and west in Algarve, we day tripped to Lagos and Tavira and found a great natural SPA Salino, salt baths with mineral mud would recommend this as an add on to a day trip to Tavira or Faro. Highly recommend Casa Rosina and would book again. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

Hi we are sisters in law. Between us we have four children from ages 16 to 24, two husbands, three dogs and a cat! The children share grandparents who live permanently in Ferragudo so we love to holiday together and have done so for the last sixteen years. We try to go at least twice a year and the rest of the time we like to think we share our villa and the lovely location with others! Many of our clients go again and again. I manage the bookings and pride myself on adding that extra touch to make planning your holiday that much easier and reassuring. We have plenty of help managing the villa, nothing is too much trouble from providing numerous birthday cakes (40th, 50th, 60th and 70th's so far....) contacts for restaurants or coordinating other villas for large groups of wedding guests. We ourselves like to try a different adventure or activity each year (from mountain biking, buggy driving, and sea kayaking to local spa's) We still have climbing, horse riding and plenty more on the 'to do' list.

We saw the house for sale, unexpectedly, on a weekend trip away and just thought it was perfect for families holidaying together, as we do.
Ferragudo is a perfect location. We can get everywhere by foot. Beach and beach bars by day, and the village square with its bars, restaurants and entertainment by night. We no longer hire a car, which is great for larger groups, we just choose where to meet up with each other. We can arrange airport transfers with a local firm on request. Ferragudo is unspoilt but with plenty to do and gets better each time we visit.
The busier resort of Praia da Rocha and the town of Portimao are easily accessible by water taxi, a short ride across the river. For trips further out we use a very reliable local taxi firm.
We love to play tennis and have tried organized mountain bike and kayak tours.

Great location, just 8 minute walk to the beach with activities, bars and restaurants, or a 5 minute walk down to the village square with many bars and restaurants.
There is ample space for entertaining at Casa Rosina. We often BBQ by the pool in the evening and then walk down to the village square for a few drinks. Or we eat out and then end up by the poolside bar for a nightcap or more usually a cup of tea! We have a covered outdoor lounge area with rattan suite. Our villa is well equipped and has recently benefited from a complete refurbishment, including new beds, sofas, TV, BBQ, stereo, hotel quality linen, towels and soft furnishings.
The locals are very friendly. We often find that our clients have met friends of ours out there, we try not to get jealous! We have also had many compliments about our house manager Kerstin who is very helpful and lives locally, so is available to our guests whilst staying at Casa Rosina, should the need arise.
