Amazing Family Vacation Home

the estate is excellent for multigenerational enjoyment. It is huge with a dream game room- which has pool table, table tennis table, pinball machines , air hockey etc . It has an exercise room, a huge outdoor jacuzzi and an indoor sauna. the Four season room is outstanding . Kitchen is large , modern and well equipped . The ground is huge though the weather was wet and rainy and therefore had not explored as much we liked. Very enjoyabl stay.

Beautifully furnished home in a beautiful location

This home is a show stopper. Joe and Kristin were great hosts! They were very responsive and provided everything we needed! Each room is uniquely furnished, has charm and history and the basement is a great place to hang out and play games! We have been here twice and enjoyed ourselves both times. Location is very close to shopping and hiking. The property is quiet and is surrounded by lush greenery.

Idyllic Haven Nestled in the Berkshires

Fox Hollow is charming, exquisitely maintained and has such a lovely layout to host a wide range of folks. Every year, my family hosts a reunion with grandparents, young parents and grandchildren. Nothing made me happier to see grandparents cozily swinging on grown-up swings, watching grandchildren run down the rolling hills of the back yard, trying to fly kites and hunt for pinecones. The home has so many surprises from a basement game-room wonderland to a master chef's kitchen! Joe has been such a great host to communicate with and made us feel right at home. Thanks for opening your home to make us feel at home for the young at heart!

Wonderful!

Really as photos depict. Quite lovely. No king bed but beds we very comfy and the sheets were so amazing I ordered some for my home! My only nit-pick is how cluttered the home is with cute little decorative objects in every corner and crevice. It’s an amazing, huge house on a huge lot with every amenity. Owner was gracious and accommodating. Was very very pleased overall. Top quality in all regards!!

Beautiful Property

My son and I visited this beautiful home. We previously lived here and it brought back so many memories. The owners have updated the kitchen, made the basement into a wonderful playroom for kids and adults. It is such a perfect house for families that want to experience the beautiful Berkshires.

Fantastic Stay

We had a great time. The house is very beautiful, and big. Loved everything about it as well as the location. Would stay again. However, If I did stay again...I would bring my own pillow. All over our pillows were two over stuffed. Hard to sleep on....but the beds and sheets were fantastic!

Home, Homey, Welcoming, comfortable. Is my summary of our stay at Fox Hallow. You know at the end of a vacation you look at your travel partner and say I had fun but am ready to be home now. My bet is you won’t have that feeling when you stay at this beautiful home. It is so comfortable, and you feel like you are at your own home. White tail deer in the dramatic backyard every day. I have a vacation beach home listed on VRBO also, home number 65397. Joe the owner is such a class act, joe was so helpful and spent so much time sharing things to do in the area it was almost like he was excited to be on the trip with us. The guest arrival package that he emails you prior to your arrival includes everything you will need including a detailed make of his family’s favorite things to do within two hours of the house. I haven’t spent any time mentioning the house, no need, it is exactly as you see in the photos on line, amazing. One of our best trips ever. Thanks for everything Joe Curt (Colorado)

Magnificent and Comfortable

My friends and I could not be more delighted. The home and grounds are magnificent and beautifully maintained and appointed. I would be remiss if I did not mention how comfortable the beds are. The Host was exceptionally responsive and proactive in providing the perfect suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. It made planning our trip to the Berkshires a breeze. We enjoyed a rustic dinner and local music at the legendary Dream Away lodge, attended performances of Harry Connick and Audra McDonald and the Boston Pops in Tanglewood, and shopping at the unique boutiques in Lenox. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be planning to visit again next year!

Everything is perfect. The setting is gorgeous. The house is immaculate and beautifully appointed.

This is a fabulous property.

This is a gorgeous house and property. Everything in it is high end and immaculate. We enjoyed it immensely. We were in the Berkshires for an annual get-together of college friends. We chose to combine our reunion with a visit to Tanglewood, the outdoor music venue that is the summer home of the Boston Symphony. We saw an opera and a concert and highly recommend a visit to Tanglewood. We also enjoyed a visit to the Norman Rockwell museum. Also highly recommend eating at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge. Gorgeous, comfortable house--recommended!

My friends and I had a fantastic time. The house was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. We had a great time relaxing and watching TV in the living room, using the outdoor grill, and enjoying the peace and quiet of the large, beautiful backyard. The owner left a great bottle of wine for us to enjoy, and we all slept wonderfully because of the quiet at night. We enjoyed walks and runs in the area, including to the beautiful nearby lake. The whole weekend was a wonderful escape, and we all had only positive things to say about the house. We're talking seriously about returning later this year.

Great place, good hosts and you will love it.

We needed a large house for a multi-generational gathering with a big kitchen and dining room. This place was fantastic. Lots of outdoors grass and woods for the little one to run around in and enough space for us to relax in without being on top of each other. The dining room comfortably sites 12 people for meals. The game room was great for evening relaxation. Host is very open and honest in answering your Qs. The house is only a 5 minute drive from supermarket and shopping areas.

Lovely home in the Berkshires.

Big and beautiful and recently updated with a fabulous kitchen, big rooms, and gorgeous setting. Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. Kids loved the basement game room and watching for wildlife on the expansive grounds. We were sorry that the deck and patio were under construction and off limits, but everything else was perfect.

You can not go wrong renting this house!!

Where to start? the house is amazing. We've probably rented 30 houses over the years through homeway/VRBO, this one is without a doubt the nicest. its so spacious, that even with a big group you could always find a place to find some quiet. The kitchen is huge and we loved cooking in it. We actually cancelled two planned dinners out because it was just nice to cook in the kitchen and enjoy the house. There are two enormous living rooms, as well as an awesome game room in the basement. Joe was a great host, responded quickly if we needed anything, though we didn't need much. We skiied at Jiminiy peak which was a short ride away. If you plan to go to the Berkshires, RENT THIS HOUSE!!

Absolutely Wonderful

The home is beautiful and both Joe the owner and Carl were amazing to work with. My children had plenty to do both inside and out and we were able to have snowball fights and build a snowman in the huge backyard. We will absolutely stay at this home again. I couldn't be happier with our choice.

Perfect Getaway!!!

My expedience with this property is nothing but amazing!!! Joe, the owner, is on top of everything and is always available when needed. Carl, the caretaker, is very attentive to all the details of the property and is more then happy to explain them to you. The house is a nice mix of Classic New England charm along with modern amenities. The game room is perfect for those later afternoons, when you are done with skiing or sightseeing. The gourmet kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, with everything that you could ever need or want. The bedrooms are very comfortable and several have their own bathroom. We went skiing at Jiminy Peak which is only 15-20 min away. You can't beat the beautiful scenic drive there. The supermarket is only a mile down there road and has everything you can need.... even the organic produce. The only downside is the light construction that is going on - which is happening outside the kitchen area. Soon that will be finished, and you will have amazing views of the backyard from the kitchen. Now you have those same amazing views from every other room in the house, even the beautiful dinning room. The entire family loved staying at Fox Hollow in The Berkshires ! We can't wait to go back. We all definitely recommend this house, you will have a great time and many terrific memories.

Joe and Kristin Tugaw were raised in the Rocky Mountains of the western US but reside full time in Pittsfield, MA. They love the change of seasons and culture that the Berkshires area has to offer; in particular, Tanglewood, the summer home to the Boston Symphony. Joe and Kristin love to travel, with Ireland ranking among their favorite destinations, so their immediate attraction to live at Fox Hollow in the Berkshires was an easy decision.

The Fox Hollow Estate was built in the 1940's as an elegant home by Samual Colt and his family. It's "Irish County Estate" appearance along with the 21 sprawling acres provides peace, tranquility and a place to clear your mind and soul. The Tugaw's remodeling work has been intentional and well thought out, ensuring the inviting 'heart' of the home was kept in-tact. Keeping the highest level of comfort and elegance in mind, the home is completely air-conditioned, humidity controlled and has state-of-the-art furnace and boiler systems to ensure the comfort of the guests. All thermostats are wi-fi enabled as well the main entry door locks, alarm system, and garage doors.

This property is centrally located in the Berkshires with easy access to the cultural offerings of the area such as Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow. There are also several ski resorts nearby such as Jiminy Peak. Onota Lake is across the street from the house (public access is about 1 mile away). The lake offers boat rental, fishing, and other water sports activities.
