5 Sterne Ferienhaus mit privatem Hallenbad. Das Thorpe Cloud View Cottage liegt in Thorpe, einem entzückenden Dorf am südlichen Ende des White Peak Gebietes des Peak National Parks. Es ist ein charmanter Urlaubsort innerhalb des 4 Hektar großen Grundstücks, aber abseits von Thorpe House, einem späten Georgian Kalkstein Grad zwei denkmalgeschützten Gebäude von erheblichem Charakter. Das Haus, das die Top-Bewertung von fünf Sternen zugewiesen hat, hat einen ungestörten Blick auf Thorpe Cloud, am Eingang zu Dovedale, der Kalksteinschlucht, die Derbyshire und Staffordshire trennt. Die Umgebung bietet hervorragende Möglichkeiten zum Wandern. Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in sehr ruhiger, erholsamer Lage

Das Haus liegt ruhig und etwas abseits der anderen Häuser im kleinen, beschaulichen Ort Thorpe bei Ashbourne. Um das Haus herum Wiesen und Berge, sehr gute Wandergelegenheiten in alle Richtungen. Das Haus war erstklassig ausgestattet und wunderschön. Der Pool und die Schwimmhalle waren durchweg beheizt und wahnsinnig toll! Ray war unglaublich hilfsbereit und nett! Wir würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen.

We had a long weekend stay in Thorpe view cottage. The cottage is well furnished, clean and cosy. The garden is well maintained with exceptional views. The pool is a great feature, was used every day. Ray and Julie are warm and welcoming hosts. Good location, ideal for walker's and cyclists. We had a hearty meal on two occasions at the Old dog pub, served by friendly landlord and staff.All in all we had agreat stay,will certainly return.

Excellent Christmas Break

This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future.

Beyond expectations

We were delighted to be able to stay at Thorpe Cloud View for 3 nights just before Christmas to celebrate my 40th. The cottage itself is spacious and really well equipped for a comfortable stay. We especially liked the Christmas trees and the cosy feel with the fireplace. The pool was simply incredible and equally as well kept and equipped as the cottage. The little touches like plenty of towels were much appreciated! Last but not least the hosts were brilliant. Ray was super friendly and personable. He took the time to make sure we found the right driveway (in the rain!) and helped get us settled so quickly. Many thanks again for opening your home to us. We look forward to returning in 2025 so that we can explore this beautiful part of the country. Best wishes.

We had a fabulous 3- night break at this beautiful property. Thorpe Cloud Cottage - EXCELLENT

This was an excellent cottage in a very quiet location and having our own pool was perfect. The hosts were great and on site, provided everything you needed (including a nice bottle of Prosecco) - But left us enough space to enjoy our holiday. I would definitely recommend this for a quiet, peaceful getaway and an opportunity to explore the Peak District, as the location is perfect for either walking or driving around. I am sure we will be returning !!

Clean well appointed cottage in beautiful surroundings

A delightful cottage. Roomy, clean and well appointed. En suite and separate shower room. Private and lovely views from the back. Front shares a drive with the main house (which is not visible from the sitting area at the back) and access to the separate swimming pool building. The pool is excellent with a good length for swimming, and with an attached jacuzzi. Overall an excellent base for relaxing and exploring the Derbyshire countryside.

A lovely cottage in a great location and so handy for the hike up Thorpe Cloud and to Dove Holes. Peaceful in the evenings watching the light changing over Thorpe Cloud. And the pool is brilliant. If only the weather hadn't let us down.

Amazing from start to finish

Lovely, large cottage and private swimming pool. Everything was great, from cleanliness to kitchen tools available and comfortable beds. We even used the fireplace for a cozy evening.The swimming pool is huge, and it has a jacuzzi part - perfection!

We are told by the guests that this is the best cottage they have stayed in with the amazing indoor swimming pool (not shared) and the fabulous stone cottage together with the large garden and incredible views over to the hills including Thorpe Cloud View (this featured in the last Robin Hood movie with white horse image on the hill). The cottage is ideal in all weather, cool in the summer and warm in the winter with the log burner and the eco-friendly central heating.

Outside:
A private estate with fantastic gardens in all 4 acres.
The Holiday Cottage enjoys uninterrupted view of the hills of Thorpe Cloud at Dovedale. Often you will be able to watch sheep and lambs, cows, bulls and calves, many types of birds including woodpeckers all from the secluded outside seating area of the holiday cottage.

Indoor Swimming Pool & Luxury Jacuzzi. This opulent swimming pool is heated to 31 degrees. It is about 1.4meters deep and 14 metres (40 ft) long. Ideal for the serious swimmer, for the beginner or for the children. The Jacuzzi has its own heating control and has jets from the sides and the bottom of the seat.

Utility Room:
Eco friendly remote central heating system (biomass wood pellets)
Washing machine and dryer.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service:
The cottage is cleaned after each guest visit. Towels and bed-linen are provided (this includes a towel for each guest in the cottage and also a second towel for each guest in the poolroom). Our gardener tends to the grounds and may start early (7.00am). Also our handy man is often around keeping everything looking great. This will include moving and loading wood pellets to a centralized green energy heating system.
