Nice house, but disappointed in cleanliness

The house is really nice, very modern and lovely decor. We were surprised to learn the owner lives onsite in another house just a few feet away. He seemed like a nice guy but it didn’t feel nearly as private as other places we have stayed in the area, and we felt less comfortable hanging out outside. Our big concern was how dirty the floors were. The first night, we immediately noticed that the kids’ feet were totally black from the dirty floors. We found a wet swiffer and my husband mopped the entire house, and the pads were just filthy. Still, everyone’s feet were getting dirty from walking barefoot. I texted the owner and asked if there was a cleaning crew that could come or even more heavy duty mopping supplies. He seemed annoyed, said the floors were just cleaned, but offered to come in and clean them while we were out of the house but never did. The bathtub was also dirty. Another thing people booking this property should know is that guest sleeping in the two downstairs bedrooms can hear literally every footstep taken by the people upstairs. On the plus side, the house was better stocked than other places I have stayed. They have things like toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, foil, etc. and I am used to having to buy those things when we rent homes.

Not disappointed

The property was just as pictured on the website. We enjoyed the deck and the view the most. The kitchen was roomy and well furnished. The beds were comfortable. When we had a problem with the door lock, it was fixed in good time.

Fantastic home!

This home is a fantastic find to explore the Columbia River Gorge area. We loved the view it provided of the gorge and Mount Hood. It had all the comforts we needed and we loved exploring White Salmon and Hood River along with area parks. It was incredibly clean, well decorated, and great communication from owner. Highly recommend this rental!

Just wow!

We had an amazing stay at this home and a mini reunion with our adult kids that live in Oregon. We’ve been to Hood River a few times but wanted to see what the Washington side was about, and it didn’t disappoint. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine to enjoy! Nice touch! The views from the house were spectacular. The space was great, it wasn’t crowded when we were all there at the same time. We fit the dinner table perfectly. We love to cook, so we made use of the kitchen a lot. It has everything you need to cook any meal. White Salmon was a cool little town, and we were able to jog around the area. The only thing that we weren’t aware of is paying the toll to go both ways. We booked activities and spent time in the Oregon side biking and hiking but had to pay $3.50 each way. Overall, the house was great, I give it a 5-star and would come back again. Thank you to the hosts!

Great place

We were all impressed with the interior of this rental. Obviously newly updated and very classy. The view is gorgeous! All the beds were comfortable, and the place was very clean. What we weren’t informed of was the road in front of the rental and the home under construction very close to us. The renter underneath us did not bother us, (we could smell smoke ) but it just seemed like a lot of people hanging around outside our rental unit. Made us feel uncomfortable.

Amazing house with beautiful view but…

We loved this house, it had everything we needed to make this trip memorable. The view was breathtaking and waking up and drinking coffee in the morning to it was something we treasured but… There was active construction going on in the house sharing a driveway as well as a renter in the basement that smoked cigarettes. It ruin several moments spent outside on the deck and sometimes would make it’s way inside. For the amount of money spent on this rental, I was pretty disappointed.

Great rental for hiking Waterfall Corridor and Hood River

Beautiful views of Mt Hood and the Columbia River from the living room, dining room, and the wonderful deck. We loved our stay with our two adult children. The host was accommodating and the description was very accurate. We did occasionally when on the deck hear the resident on the first floor but it was never an issue. We never heard him from inside the house.

Lovely Home

This property was really nice. The house itself was perfect. We had everything we needed. It was decorated so cute. Then the view was so spectacular. We saw Mt. Hood everyday for breakfast, dinner right out the window. The location was up in the hills with an orchard and vineyard right behind us. It felt like we were in Tuscany. I would definitely stay here again.

Underwood Home

The home is beautifully decorated and the view of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood are spectacular. All amenities and appliances are updated. The home was very clean and comfortable with a great floor plan. The deck was a wonderful place to enjoy the view. It is in a great location for visiting Hood River and White Salmon and surrounding area. The owner was very responsive to question and requests. There is shuttle service information at the house.

Breathtaking Retreat

Be prepared to be blown away! The views from this house are spectacular! The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. The bedding and decor in the bedrooms has been updated since the VRBO pictures and is modish and very on trend! The hosts were easy to work with and quick to reply even when we accidentally locked the door the wrong way and locked ourselves out!! The beds were VERY comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed. We were a short drive to our wedding venue in Hood River across the bridge (there is a $2 cash toll to go each way on the bridge so have some cash!) Our family of 4 stayed here for our daughter's wedding week and this relaxing home was a godsend at the end of each day. Would 100% recommend and would love to stay again!

A lovely home, but the downstairs neighbors

The house is lovely. Amazing views, great layout for our family of five and nicely decorated and stocked with extra towels, pillows, etc. But, the constant STRONG smell of "weed" being smoked by the tenant(s) downstairs and music made our stay less enjoyable for sure.

Fabulous View House

The house is wonderful with amazing view of Mt. Hood and Columbia River. Easy to drive to, comfortable beds and clean inside the house. Trash from prior renters was stacked around trash can outside and neighborhood dogs got into it. I called and informed owner/manager via voicemail that it needed tending to and never heard back from him. I was told by a neighbor that he hasn't been putting trash in dumpster for pick-up on Thursdays, so it seems this wasn't the first time he neglected the trash. I left a note along with our trash just inside the door so dogs wouldn't spread more trash around. The kitchen sink drains slowly and the toilet in bath nearest kitchen needs attention as it pulls water regularly on its own. We are returning to this area later this year, and due to the inattention to the trash issue, we will choose a different rental, which is unfortunate as we loved the house itself. Thanks. M. Haskin

Great Location with Amazing View of Mount Hood

House was clean, well stocked and the view was amazing. Once the clouds lifted, Mount Hood was spectacular. Easy drive to grocery stores, restaurants, even bowling in Hood River. Will definitely come again.

Great Spot with Fantastic Views

The space had a great open floor plan with large windows and a deck providing beautiful views of the mountain as well as the gorge below. It was also short driving distances from multiple wineries, restaurants, etc., and had ample parking. Very clean with lots of amenities, making it easy to feel at home while we were there.
