Das Suwannee River Rest ist eine zweistöckige Lodge mit drei Schlafzimmern und drei Bädern auf 200 Quadratmetern am historischen Suwannee River in der Nähe von Branford, Florida.

Das Hotel liegt am Suwannee River im historischen Viertel Hatch Bend in Lafayette County, Florida.

Dieses Haus mit drei Schlafzimmern und drei Bädern ist ein idealer Ort für ein Wochenende oder einen einwöchigen Urlaub vom Alltag. Das Haus hat ein Obergeschoss mit zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Vollbädern sowie einen geräumigen Wohnbereich mit einem Gaskamin und einer komplett modernen Küche. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Kingsize-Bett, ein Badezimmer und einen Wohnraum. Es gibt einen geschlossenen Aufzug, mit dem Sie die Dinge in die zweite Ebene bringen können.

Sie können auf der abgeschirmten Veranda mit Flussblick im Obergeschoss entspannen oder die Freiluftterrasse im Erdgeschoss genießen. Über einen Bürgersteig, der zu einem Deck über dem Fluss führt, haben Sie direkten Zugang zum Fluss. Vom Deck aus können Sie eine sichere Rampe hinunter zu einem 24-Fuß-Aluminium-Schwimmdock gehen. Ein zusätzliches Merkmal ist ein Parkplatz für zwei Autos unter dem Haus.

Kanus? Kajaks? Boote? Angelausrüstung? Schnorcheln und Flossen? Tauchausrüstung?
Bring sie an! Der Rest des Suwannee River liegt nicht nur am Suwannee River, sondern auch in der Nähe des Santa Fe River, der Ichetucknee Springs und des River, der Little River Springs, der Troy Springs und des Bob's Place at Rock Bluff. Für diejenigen unter Ihnen, die Aktivitäten außerhalb des Wassers lieben, gibt es großartige Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und Radfahren. Keaton Beach, Steinhatchee und Horseshoe Beach am Golf von Mexiko sind nur etwas mehr als eine Stunde entfernt.

Zusätzlich zur Verfügbarkeit der Lodge können Kapitänsarrangements für geführte Süß- und Salzwasser-Angeltouren, Suwannee River-Besichtigungstouren, die Erkundung von Süßwasserquellen und das Überbacken der Bucht (saisonal-Steinhatchee, Fl.) Getroffen werden.
Der Suwanee River bietet viele Möglichkeiten zum Kajakfahren, Kanufahren und Wassersport. Die vielen Quellen in der Umgebung laden zum Schwimmen, Schnorcheln und Tauchen ein. Dieser Rückzug in "The Last Wild Florida Frontier" bietet dem Besucher viele einzigartige und abwechslungsreiche Erlebnisse einer Lebenszeit.

One Of the Best Vacations Ever! The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the House. The house was well stocked and clean! The Owner was Great and so accommodating! Very Peaceful Place and just steps away from the River. Our Family and Friends Loved It!

Beautiful

Loved the house. Plenty of room, comfy beds and very clean. My daughter and family stayed downstairs. It was a little warmer than they liked but found a fan that helped a lot. River was up but all good. It has a floating deck that was large enough for the pontoon boat. We enjoyed just riding the river n site seeing. Everything was great. Only recommendation I would have is to leave one cabinet empty for groceries. It’s just my personal preference. I’m a little OCD and this house was perfect for me. ❤️

Just Lovely

There were six of us (three couples; one with an infant). We all had plenty of space, as much or little activity as we wanted and beautiful surroundings. This place is so well-maintained and your every need has been anticipated. There was plenty of everything - from towels to spices. The cookware was just as good as my cookware at home, which is not the case for many VRBO's! We all had a wonderful time. Captain Cas took us all on an affordable and perfect boat ride up the Suwannee. We were able to get out and snorkel a little. He was extremely accommodating to us with the baby aboard yet was cautious and careful. This was totally worth the price! We hope to stay again!

The cabin was great, the weather wasn't. Unfortunately we had rain the whole time we were there si we didn't really get to enjoy the area, but the house was great. Beds were comfy and the view of the river was fantastic. We'll return maybe in the spring or fall.

Peace and quiet

We were amazed at how quiet it was. Also shocked at how well both places were stocked. From kitchen ware, gadgets, games, spices, towels, blankets. The list goes on. Everything needed in case you forgot something. House was extremely clean and super comfortable.

Pleasantly pleased

We enjoyer our stay very much. The steps were in need of some repair but overall very nice. Fishing during the day was terrible because of the boat traffic though. Plenty of space for everyone and seemed to have everything we needed. I do not like technology so the covection stove was terrible for me. The house is 40 minutes from a large grocery store so pack accordingly. We had to be modest with the hot water. There were 8 of us so we all couldn't take showers back to back. Cleaning supplies were plentiful so being tidy wasnt a chore. I believed we booked the right house for the vacation we planned in the long run. Owners were very friendly!

This property was perfect in every way! Perfect!! 5 Stars Plus!

Beautiful, spotless house perfect for our 3 couples trip. The early risers were able to stay downstairs & make coffee without waking the rest of the house. The kitchen had plenty of room for multiple cooks and was stocked with everything we could have wanted and then some. Bob & BJ next door were extremely helpful with restaurant and boating and fishing information. Captain Cas was very quick to get back to me with my multiple questions. If you bring your boat, be sure to go to Ichetucknee River. Crystal clear water, one of the prettiest places I've ever seen in Florida. When we weren't out boating we spent our time on the screen porch or on the deck overlooking the river. Fantastic place to stay!

Had a spur of the moment trip with family that were all in the area at the same time! (We are from MN) the space and location was perfect. The fire pit was great, as was the barbecue area and area overlooking the river! We all had so much fun! Close enough to access itchetucknee state park too!

Nice relaxing stay

The property was just as pictured. Very spacious and has everything you could ever need. Fully stocked and then some! We enjoyed having the down stairs apartment for our grandparents as it was easily accessible. Mr. Steve took us on an all day boat ride to several local springs and it was beautiful! We rested well at the Suwanee River Rest!

Birthday Celebration

We are used to bringing a lot of items from home at every VRBO…however, this property provided everything you needed & more! It was spacious & had seating for everyone inside & out! There were kayaks & beautiful outdoor lighting on the dock. We would rent this property again for sure! The communication with the property manager was awesome & the response time to any question was timely!

Fantastic Sister's trip and Birthday on the River

We had a wonderful time here. The location was great, right on the riverfront. Great view from the screened porch and deck. House was large and roomy. It was stocked with anything you could ask for. One of my sons brought his golf cart, so we could take some nice little rides around the area. Several of my sons were able to bring their boats on my birthday, the floating dock was great. Another plus was the large open area under the house and all the outdoor furniture. Bob was great. Anytime we had a question or needed help, he was right there.

River Family Getaway

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST

This rental was everything it promised and MORE!. The kitchen has the finest appliances and so well stocked. The home is artistic and beautiful. The furniture comfy and welcoming. Beds and linens perfect. The river, in sight off the screened in porch, can be enjoyed all day. Have a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the river world wake up or have a glass a wine in the evening and watch the river world change colors and fade into the dark. We brought a small 16 foot boat and the location on the River was perfect for exploration up and down. We went by boat and drove to many amazing Springs. every single day. You can go to different ones everyday. The owner and Captain of this property could not be more helpful with questions about ANYTHING!. Leave all your cares behind and rent this place.

My new favorite place!

This is a wonderful property at a perfectly beautiful spot on the river. Updated furnishings and beautiful new kitchen stocked with appliances, cookware, cookware, even condiments! The screened porch upstairs was glorious and we never wanted to leave. Wonderful for a relaxing weekend with friends or family. Check in was easy and the hosts were welcoming and kind. Can't wait to go back again.

Wonderful home on the Suwannee

This house is GORGEOUS and we had a great time. I would highly recommend to others but since this is a review I want to convey some important information to others who may be interested as I myself rely heavily on reviews when planning travel or purchasing items. A few items to note: (1) The main bedroom off the screen porch as a lot of light that comes into the window at night from the neighbor's very bright security light. This may not bother some but I like darkness at night, especially if I'm staying in a cozy home in the woods. The bright light detracted from the experience for us. There are permanently installed interior shutters over the window with the slats pointed down and there is no way to point the light in another direction. Would be a nice touch to add blackout curtains that could be pulled over if so desired. (2) The house has three bedrooms but the third one downstairs which is in its own little studio is not as nice as the main house. It felt damp inside and it was used for storage for things such as beach towels and kayak equipment. The space pales in comparison to the rest of the house which is quite luxurious and updated--this room would be best reserved for kids instead of an adult couple. (3) Be aware that both sets of stairs to get into the house are a bit difficult. One set is almost too steep to walk down safely (thank goodness for the luggage elevator) and the other set doesn't have a landing platform at the top outside of the screen door. It was doable but we had to be extra careful when we opened up that screen door. All that being said, it is a wonderful place in a great location on the river and I do recommend but wanted to pass along more details that some may find useful.

Capt. Cas has been on the Suwannee River since 1966, his Grandparents brought him to this location when they decided to purchase some of the adjoining property here on the Suwannee. That was the beginning of the Love of The Outdoors & All of Her Beautiful Abounds Of Nature.

The fishing and hunting skills that he perfected during his early years have made him the outdoor sportsman that he is today. He continues to find new ways to improve those skills as well as sharing the Historic History of the Suwannee and is ready to share them with other interested outdoor sportsmen or those that just want an experienced guide to teach and or show them the way.

Captain Cas is a Coast Guard Certified, OUPV 100 Ton Certification.

The Suwannee River Rest is an on going family property that has been growing since 1966.

My Grandparents brought me here to purchase the first piece of property along the Beautiful Suwannee River. My parents since have retired here, and purchased more land.

I, Capt. Cas have hunted, fished and Bay Scalloped (Gulf Coast) here my whole life and with that, I fell In-Love with the River and have since added this property to enjoy the Suwannee River In Luxury!

DOWN THE SUWANNEE TO THE GULF OF MEXICO

A boat trip from the Suwannee River Rest (SRR) down the river towards the Gulf of Mexico is a beautiful, quiet and interesting cruise through land that is mostly undeveloped. The trip can be hours or overnight based upon the visitors desires. Time spent at the various stops along the way for swimming and exploration determine the length of the trip. The longest day trip would be from SRR to Manatee springs and back and the overnight trip would be to the Town of Suwannee where the Suwannee meets the Gulf.

You can also spend the day just visiting near by natural springs that feed the river and swim away the day!
