Location, location, location

Nothing fancy, but very clean, and convenient to all of our destinations. The property is well cared for and everyone we met there was very friendly. The host called a few days before our flight to see if we had any last-minute questions. I liked that added touch of customer service.

Splendid location & cute place!

We truly enjoyed our stay! Cute place with all the needed amenities. We felt welcomed. The location is close to snorkeling and a nice restaurant but not in a crowded location which we prefer.

Vacation Condo

While the location of this condo was great and the grounds beautiful, the condo itself needed some TLC. When we arrived several lightbulbs were out, the screen door leading to the lanai was off the track, the kitchen was not well equipped and there was only 1 box fan and 1 ceiling fan for the unit. Beach towels and chairs were worn and needed replacement.

Perfect for a family getaway!

This was a perfect place for a family vacation with the beach right across the street. There's a pool and barbecue area. The condo had everything that was needed for a home away from home!

Great Property

We stayed at this property early May 2022 and were very happy with the accommodations. The unit includes all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. We loved that the unit was on the first floor for ease of access. We were close to the parking lot and the laundry room, so a lot of foot traffic, but that was not a problem for us. We knew of this when we booked the room from a previous review. The ease of no stairs, etc. outweighed the minimal noise. Would stay here again. Mahalo!

Liked the complex but not our unit.

The good: The condo complex was nicely located with well maintained grounds and pool area. Being next to the Prince Kuhio park gave us a nice view from the deck. It is as shown on the VRBO website posting. Only a 2-3 minute walk to Lawa’i Beach. The not-so-good: We’ve used VRBO many times in the past with no hassles. For this stay once we made the reservation we were sent over to a service called RentalHost. We had to create a new account on a clunky website to make the payments, etc. We received email notices when the payments were due but no other communications. To take care of our Travel Safe Hawaii Covid registration I had to call something called Kauai Exclusive Management get the reservation number from someone who quite frankly sounded loaded. We arrived for our stay expecting to have someone at the office but it is not attended. Another call to our loaded friend got us the door key code to get into the unit. We later found out there is a mobile phone app for RentalHost that contains the information but only if you somehow know it is in there. Based on a tip from one of the other guests I downloaded the app and up popped a little red circle in the corner of the icon to indicate we had a message. Too late to do us any good but solved a bit of the mystery. Pretty lousy service for the $185 fee we were charged. The complex was nice but we ended up with what is probably the poorest unit. 1. The location is right next to the guest laundry. Throughout the day there was almost no time someone wasn’t running at least one of the multiple dryers which had the exhaust located a few feet from out deck. The lovely breeze was filled with the scent of laundry detergent and fabric softener. 2. There was no air conditioning which was not a problem with the nice prevailing breeze but we needed to keep the louvered entry door vents open. The door is located next to the laundry, at the bottom of the access stairs and at the end of the parking lot. It was the ideal location of other guests to congregate and visit. 3. Cleaning was marginally adequate. The place was clean enough but if you are put off by things like black grime on the white ceiling fan blade edges, dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling and grime accumulated in the corners you would have problems. Bottom line: We would happily stay at Prince Kuhio again but cannot recommend unit 106.

The Prince was a nice place, great spot right on the south coast. Walking distance to great beaches. Our apartment was a little dated but it was suffice for what we needed. We definitely would return, we loved it.

I’d stay here again!

Property is dated but has a good vintage vibe. No AC but air flows constantly through louvered glass windows plus overhead fans kept us quite comfortable. Bed was a little too firm for our taste. Well stocked kitchen, very clean, pleasant living room with patio, easy parking, good access to restaurants and outdoor activities. Laundry facilities very handy and super clean. Lovely gardens and pool! Friendly tenants.

Small and convenient

This rental is clean and well equipped, except for a lack of air conditioning. It works best for 2 people as there is one bedroom which is between the bath and living room where there is a sofa bed. It's necessary to download the Rentalhost app for checkin information.

Roosters at 5 am?!!!!’

Had a very nice week at Prince Kuhio Resort. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The bbq was a welcome tool and the pool was a pleasant calm break from the pounding waves! The room had everything needed to be comfortable but maybe could use a crockpot for a rooster dinner!!!

Great home base!

Such a great location! As someone who doesn't drive, I could walk to shops and restaurants in two different plazas half mile and 1 1/4 miles away. Beach across the street with a couple more small ones nearby. Had everything I needed in the condo, though a sunbrella for the Beach would be a welcome addition. Highly recommend this rental!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we (my boy 10 years old and myself) were content and happy with this place. It has a good location in the South. BBQ facilities were useful. Kitchen is well equipped. Unit 106 is adjacent to the laundry room which is busy from 8am to 8pm. No problem, if one is out for hikes, swims, etc. But it is not ideal for sitting on the lanai.
