Dies ist eine Executive-Vermietung und wird monatlich vermietet, mit Ausnahme der Zeit, in der Freunde und Familie bleiben.

Das Urban Homestead liegt im Herzen der historischen Innenstadt von Durango auf einem großen Gartengrundstück. Fast 0,2 Hektar in der historischen Innenstadt von Durango und nur 5 Blocks von der Downtown Main Avenue entfernt. Dies ist wirklich wie eine kleine Farm in der Innenstadt von Durango.

Meine Mutter, eine Gärtnermeisterin, hatte die Vision, dieses bezaubernde Haus im Bungalowstil und den ohnehin schon fruchtbaren Garten in ein städtisches Gehöft zu verwandeln. Diese Eigenschaft eignet sich besonders für Familien mit Kindern und Haustieren wegen des großen Hofes und Gartens. Verbringen Sie einen "ganzen Urlaub" in Durango, ganz bequem von zu Hause aus im Urban Homestead!

Das Haus: Dieses 1200 SF Haus verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer und ein Vollbad. Das Haus bietet Platz für 4; Es gibt ein französisches Bett im Schlafzimmer und zwei Einzelbetten im Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss. Tempurpedic Stil Matratzen sind neu und super bequem, komplett mit schöner Bettwäsche. Das geflieste Badezimmer hat eine Badewanne / Dusche und hat alles, was Sie brauchen; Handtücher, Shampoo, Föhn ... etc. Es gibt ein kleines Büro, einen alten Schreibtisch mit Schreibutensilien und eine Steckdose für Ihren Laptop. Im Dachgeschoss haben wir uns in einen Spielbereich für Kinder verwandelt, in dem Sie Kleidung, Bücher, Spiele und einen Sitzsack finden. Die Küche wurde kürzlich mit Ahornschränken und einem Bosch-Geschirrspüler, einem Wasserfilter und einem großen Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine renoviert. Der Koch wird die komplette Küche zu schätzen wissen, die mit allem ausgestattet ist, was Sie für ein Gourmet-Menü benötigen. von den guten Pfannen und Qualitätsmessern bis zu Stoffservietten, Mixern usw. Der runde Esstisch bietet Platz für vier Personen, aber der beste Ort zum Essen ist draußen im Hinterhof ...

Der Hof: Setzen Sie sich in den Schatten der vier ausgewachsenen Aprikosenbäume, die den Hinterhof umgeben. Teakholz-Gartenmöbel und ein Gasgrill machen dies zu einem Garten, in dem Sie die Nachmittage mit Lesen, Kochen, Spielen und Essen verbringen möchten. Der Hof ist komplett von Sichtschutzzäunen und Mauern umgeben und sehr ruhig und privat. Es gibt einen Gemüsegarten mit Erdbeerfeldern, Obstbäumen und Blumenbeeten. Der Hof ist sicher für einen Hund, aber wir bitten Sie, Ihren Hund keine der Pflanzen ausgraben zu lassen. Ein großer und schattiger Hundezwinger steht für Ihre k9-Nutzung zur Verfügung.

Die Lage: Urban Homestead ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof entfernt, Durango Natural Foods Co-op (mein Lieblingslebensmittelgeschäft!), Telegraph / Horse Gulch-Ausgangspunkt und Main Avenue in der Innenstadt von Durango. Ein Viertelblock weiter zweigt der River Trail ab, der zum Santa Rita Park und zum gesamten River Trail führt. Perfekt für einfache Spaziergänge und Radtouren in der ganzen Stadt. Zum Abendessen können Sie bequem zu Fuß in eines der Restaurants in der Innenstadt gehen. Die Nachbarschaft in der 1. Straße ist sehr ruhig. Als letzte Straße der Stadt ist es kaum befahren und nachts meist ruhig. Gehen Sie in Ihrem Pyjama in die Innenstadt und trinken Sie Kaffee!

A Month in paradise away from the Texas heat!

Holly and Ben took great care of us! The house was exceptionally furnished for our extended stay! It has chef quality Kitchen furnishings which we appreciated greatly. Complete with a dog door to a huge back yard for Harry our mini-Aussie! Our guests enjoyed the guest room and we had a great time exploring the fantastic town of Durango and several nearby attractions. Wild Horse is all we expected and more!

Winter vacation

This was our second time staying in a year. We booked last Jan-March and again this December-Jan. We love the location (walk to downtown and the Animas River), the yard (great for our old poodles), the sunroom, the comfy bed, just about everything. Our child loves the privacy of the loft. The mudroom is also great for ski equipment. It’s a super quiet neighborhood as well but right in town. We cannot wait to return. Holly is excellent at saying in touch, offering helpful town suggestions, etc. We couldn’t recommend this home more highly for a small family trip.

Great location, comfortable house

Enjoyed our stay, Holly was a gracious and accommodating host. She checked in regularly to see if we needed supplies. The yard was secure and perfect for our dog and for doing social distant hang outs. Loved waking up to coffee in the sun room next to the fireplace then heading out for a quick hike in Horse Gulch only a 10 min walk from the house. Already planning our next visit. Highly recommend for a couple with a pet!

Home for 2 months

We escaped the heat at home & enjoyed 2 months at Urban Homestead in Durango. The house was perfect for the 2 of us & our pets. I loved the old stove & the nice big refrig. Kitchen was well-equipped. The fenced yard was wonderful for the dogs, I loved having a clothes line out back and the new washer & dryer were nice. Beds were comfy with nice linens. The location was good, we liked being able to walk downtown and trails were nearby too. Seriously, lock the garbage can like the rules say if you rent there or you'll be cleaning up trash that the bears got into! Deer & bears are frequent visitors as well as neighbor cats. We had visitors stay with us for a few nights. The bathroom is off the master bedroom. This was a bit of an issue but workable for me as it was short term. I wouldn't like the setup if friends wanted to stay longer. Holly was good to work with when we had a problem with the coffee maker & washer....replacements arrived quickly! I hope we can return to Urban Homestead again in 2020!

Awesome home, location and host!

Holly and her mom Marilyn have done a great job renovating this home. I felt at home immediately upon entering the front door. In addition, they are both very friendly and helpful. The house is located about a 10 minute walk from the main part of Downton Durango and if you are a mountain biker, you can ride to the Horse Gulch area from the home. There are other trails available within riding distance as well. Depending on what you want to do while in Durango, you really don't need a car once you arrive at the home. It's hard to focus on just one positive item, because everything was good. I would absolutely stay here again!

So close to town

We had our out of town relatives stay a week at Urban Homestead, and it worked so well. Close to town and comfortable by all. Apricots just coming on in the yard, so we even made jam.

Walking to the book store (such fun)!

Our stay at Urban Homestead was great! We had fine weather, so could walk about each day as well. We especially liked the little kitchen, coffee in the sun room and watching all the birds in the big back yard. We found that we could walk to the used book store, S.W. Book Traders, and movies at the Gaslight....in about 10 min. It was really great to leave the car at home. We will be back!

Great Location - Nice Short Walk to Downtown

We had a great stay at Holly's house - the location is excellent. Walk to anything downtown. The yard is secure and lots of room for dogs to play. Lots of kitchen items are available for cooking in and having a w/d is so great for not having to bring an abundance of clothes. The mud room was a plus to store jackets and outside gear. The privacy of parking in a driveway was nice and the neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood quiet. The upstairs area for our boys was much bigger than the pic appear, so plenty of room for 2 teenage boys to have privacy and space to hangout. Some places we used and highly recommend are 2nd Ave Sports for any Summer or Winter rentals - walking distance. Happy Hounds Fat Cats Dog Day Care - they were awesome!! Just be sure to call ahead and make reservations and bring all necessary paperwork for your pet.

Adorable house in the heart of town

We had a fantastic time at this super cute house. Holly is super helpful in planning our river trip and several hikes. The yard is like being in the south of France and we used the table under the overhanging apricot tree for almost every meal. Our little dog loved the freedoms of the back yard and its safe dog proof fence. We could not ask for more and will be back again for ski season!

Lovely home with a fantastic yard and great location

My family shared this house for over a week - 6 of us (1kid). We piled in and it worked great because the yard and location made getting out and about easy. The kitchen fuctions for family meal. We especially enjoyed eating outside. The sleeper couch is comfortable as are all the beds. The only downside was the bathroom. You have to go through the master bedroom. The bathroom is compact but fuctional even if we all took hot showers. We made it work.

Fabulous cozy house for a family.

This house was so comfortable and warm. We could walk with the stroller and our Yack Tracks, in the dead of winter, to everything we needed. Our kids so much fun playing in the back yard in the snow. The house is very clean and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the play nuk upstairs and the very comfortable beds. It was also nice to have fast wi- fi to get my work done. Love this house! and we will be back this summer.

Excellent little house for a family!

We had such a great time staying in the Urban Homestead. The house is adorable and with a huge back yard filled with strawberries, peaches, apricots and lots of herbs and flowers. It felt like the Tuscan countryside eating under the big trees on the wooden table in the private back yard. It only took us 5 minutes to walk downtown to the Train Station on Main Avenue, although we were hoofing it. Close enough to get coffee if you like in the morning downtown. The beds are great: Tempropedic style mattresses. Holly was fantastic to deal with and gave us great ideas of what to do in town and where to ride horses with the family. Fun trip, looking forward to staying here again. Thanks!!

Charm, comfort and great location

Highly recommended. My fiancee and I loved our extended stay. We did a lot of walking to downtown and around the neighborhood. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to cook at home as often as we liked. Sleeping arrangements were amazingly comfortable. Bathroom was well-stocked with linens and supplies, great hot showers came in handy during the cold weather. Cable and wifi were great, and we set up a little home office. The mud room is a nice touch as well. Owners are really friendly and responsive to requests. Enjoy your stay!

This property is right next to our Wild Horse Guesthouse and is perfectly suited to monthly stays in a beautifully furnished bungalow house in Downtown Durango. The south part of town has always been my favorite because of the culture, churches, and being so close to downtown. The amazingly beautiful and huge yard was just irresistible.
