We loved the house. It was clean, well stocked and spacious. We loved that the beach access was right across the street, however this is not a beach for sitting/sun bathing, when the tide is in there is no beach. It was perfect for walking and finding sand dollars. It was a great house and location, just be prepared to drive a short distance if you plan to spend the day at the beach and play in the water.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful and well equipped house, bikes were an added bonus. Beach for sitting on is now a drive (or bike if not taking chairs/etc) away since waves come up to the brake wall across the street. Water is mucky (we were told due to stream now that comes into the beach) so we missed the whole swimming in blue ocean with dolphins while relaxing on beach which is why we used to come to Jekyll - but that is not the houses fault. The house was wonderful and had big table for games/cards/dinners. We will most likely not come back to Jekyll but it is not the accommodations fault (although the whole separate rental of linens is a pain)

The house is so well stocked with beach toys, bikes and kitchen necessities that we feel at home right away. Replacing the louvered doors was a bonus for privacy...thanks! We will be back!

August 2020 Stay

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Island Breeze. The layout was perfect for our large family. We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, all the kids toys and the bikes. The beach access is great other than the large tide pool at the bottom of the steps. The metal roof made for a soothing sound when it rained. All the seating inside and out is great for a crowd. The spacious driveway and garage gave plenty of room for all our things. This house really has it all and made for a relaxing time away. My only suggestion inside would be to replace the louvered doors with regular doors to allow for more privacy.

We really loved this house. We had 8 adults and 2 children with us on this trip. The house was very spacious and we had plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked very well and everything was clearly labeled. Beach access was a little rough since they was doing construction directly across the road but we made it work. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We had 10 people stay in Island Breeze on Albright Ln. Four couples and two teens. This was one of the best homes we have ever rented. It was so well stocked and even had some essentials already there. So many times you rent a house and there isn't even a salt and pepper shaker! Here we could cook in and there were seasonings and equipment galore and it was all well organized and labeled so you could find it. There were beach chairs and bikes too! Please tell the owners this was a wonderful home and if we bring this group again I will definitely rent this home! The only drawback was the missing beach access stairway over the breaker rocks. We were all a little scuffed by the end of the week, but had a great time and would go back again!

August 2017 Stay

Some issues with flys due to location of outside trash cans and there cleanliness. We also found parts of bugs on the mattress covers in the master bedroom and a large bug on the mattress covers of one of the other two bedrooms down stairs. The bug was dead. There was a famine napkin found stuck to a pillow on the bed. This was a great house and the issues were minor. No other bugs were seen all week. I moved the trash cans during our stay. I would rent this house again if I need a five bedroom .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is beyond words. It truly made the vacation. We had a group of 14 on Jekyll, a couple stayed at the holiday Inn down the road, but we had everyone over for multiple dinners. There is a large beautiful dining table and stools at the long kitchen bar, perfect to accommodate everyone for meals. The location was perfect. You could sit out on the front porch or grill out in the driveway and hear the waves, then have only a 2 minute walk to the beach. The layout of the house was great too. We had age ranges from 4-80, & the privacy and space was perfect. The kitchen has all cabinets/drawers conveniently labeled. The colors, decor and layout of the house are so welcoming and homey. Plenty of beach toys, they even have bikes available to use, books inside, toys/games for kids, gas grill, I mean..there's literally something for everyone! Your beach access point is MAYBE a 2 minute walk, it is so close, and a beautiful beach to relax on, in August we hardly saw 10 other people looking either direction. We rode bikes everywhere, the Horton Pond is not far, a great chance to see gators and turtles. Driftwood beach, not far. The fishing pier also is maybe a mile or 2 down the road. Such beautiful bike trails on Jekyll. It is an amazing place to be, when you have such a great place to call home during your stay, it makes makes it even better. We had no complaints, everyone at Jekyll Realty was very helpful and kind through booking, arriving and leaving. Can't wait to be back next year!
