Very accommodating and responsive host during booking. Check in stressful, had to ask for code and then fix internet (>1hr) which had been down for days. First impression was great, the house is wonderful, well equipped with new appliances We expected a grill and garage full of beach toys (now removed from listing) neither was there. The bunkbed ’room’ is a converted office open to the common area; that did not work at all as planned (young kids w. early bedtimes). It has a TV screen, great for older kids. The futon in there was not clean. Blake sent a cleaning lady over the next morning to address this and a few other areas in an otherwise very clean house.
There were issues with mattresses worn out/ uncomfortable, full size in a queen frame leaving a potentially hazardous gap. Blake did replace the king size bed while we were there. He is very responsive addressing issues that are being brought up and promised a refund. The pool, volleyball court and grassy areas were relaxing, the pool is not heated. I sent pictures of the mismatched mattress/ frame; the worn out outdoor furniture, etc. due to his response no one told me. (I’m on vacation, it is not my job!) This helped him improve listing accuracy, for which he thanked me. But when I asked re promised refund f.inaccurate listing he got rude; I have still not received it. We enjoyed our stay but dealing with the issues added a layer of stress. A welcome book would have been helpful, issues with turning fan on A/C off
