Kommen Sie und genießen Sie unser kürzlich renoviertes, 400 m² großes Seehaus am Kangaroo Lake. Dieses Haus bewahrt seinen ursprünglichen Cottage-Charme der 1940er Jahre mit dem klassischen Door County-Steinkamin (nicht funktionsfähig), Zedernwänden und Holzböden. Das Haus bietet Platz für 8-12 Personen mit 4 Schlafzimmern und 2. 5 Bädern. Der Speisesaal mit Seeblick bietet Platz für 12 Personen. Es gibt viel Platz für Mahlzeiten im Freien, Rasenspiele und zum Entspannen. * Sat-TV und WiFi zur Verfügung gestellt *.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer im ersten Stock verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, ein eigenes Bad und eine Terrasse mit Seeblick. Das Obergeschoss verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer und ein weiteres Badezimmer. Das erste Schlafzimmer hat 2 Einzelbetten, das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett und das große dritte Schlafzimmer mit Blick auf den See hat ein Queensize-Bett und einen Futon. Es gibt auch ein Queen-Size-Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer und ein halbes Badezimmer im ersten Stock. Der Kamin ist wunderschön, funktioniert aber nicht.

Der Kangaroo Lake ist ein 1156 Morgen großer, von Quellen gefütterter See mit einer maximalen Tiefe von 12 Fuß. Fangen Sie Fische vom Dock, Damm oder einem der bereitgestellten Boote (Kanu, Kajak, Paddelbrett und Fischerboot). Der sandige Grund des Sees ist ideal zum Waten und Spielen im Wasser. Die Wassertemperatur ist angenehm warm und etwa 15 Grad wärmer als am Michigansee.

* Das Dock wird um den 20. Mai herum angelegt und jedes Jahr um den 15. Oktober herausgenommen. Wenn Sie vor dem 20. Mai bleiben möchten, sind das Dock und das Fischerboot nicht verfügbar. Das Kanu, das Kajak und das Paddleboard können weiterhin genutzt werden. *

Das Seehaus ist nur wenige Minuten von einem Golfplatz, Restaurants, Brauereien, Weingütern, Geschäften und Unterhaltungsangeboten entfernt. Es gibt viel zu tun in Door County, aber Sie können den Tag im Seehaus verbringen, im Wasser spielen, Boot fahren, Kanu fahren, Kajak fahren, Paddeln, Angeln oder einfach nur entspannen. Am Ende des Tages können Sie den Sonnenuntergang über dem See beobachten oder am Lagerfeuer sitzen.

Only one thing missing

The property is amazing, and very well maintained. The only thing I would change is that towels be included. I hadn’t read the description closely enough and we had to make an emergency shopping trip to get towels. I can’t really understand why this wouldn’t be included in the amenities. I personally wouldn’t want to pack towels for a large family. This, to me, is a basic amenity. Other than that it was a perfect stay!!

Casual fun for everyone on the lake

Our family of nine very much enjoyed the stay, our second year in a row here. The lake is clear and beautiful! Some people fished from the rowboat, while others used stand up paddle boards and still others kayaked. It's close to good hiking, and the bicycling was excellent -- nicest roads I've encountered anywhere with very little traffic. The kitchen is over-stocked with small to medium cookware, so we usually bring a large stockpot, a couple of loaf pans, and a large bowl for salads, etc. Other than that, it has everything we needed. Hosts are responsive to text/email.

Sibling getaway

We are very pleased with the location, we were able to go out to restaurants within 10 to 15 minutes of the place and including one just a half a mile from it. It’s very relaxing, quiet, we had a great time.

Wonderful weekend, great property

Our 6 family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The location was fantastic, close to things to do, yet quiet and serene when we wanted to rest and recharge. Although it is Fall, we took advantage of the canoe and had fun taking turns around the lake. The property was extremely clean and well-equipped with anything you’d really need for cooking and lakeside activities. Also, I haven’t slept this well in probably years. Thank you, Thank you! :) we hope to make it back again.

Post Labor Day Get Away

We are 3 retired couples wanting to explore Washington & Rock Islands, Bailey’s Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim & Fish Creek. All were within a short distance from the cabin. There were many dining options and wineries nearby. Cabin was clean & as described. The stairway to 3 bedrooms upstairs is steeper & narrow & may be difficult for some guests. The fans upstairs were a Blessing during the rainy nights when windows could not be open. The garage was nice to store our bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Family Vacation Spot

We had a wonderful stay! Two families - 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 seven year olds. It was a comfortable amount of space for 9 people. We were super impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked, and with the variety of equipment for outdoor activities. The paddle boards were a huge hit! We also utilized the board games & toys every day. We had milder temps in the 70s all week, so the upstairs AC window unit in one bedroom cooled the upstairs very quickly at night. We were two separate family units and closed the bedroom doors while sleeping. It would likely get very warm in the other 2 bedrooms on super hot days/nights unless app bedroom doors were kept open. The cabin was fairly clean. We found some places that had not been cleaned well before we arrived. The long dining table with ample seating was also awesome to have for meals and playing games. Overall, we recommend the Lakeside Cabin for your family vacation!

Family fun on the water

This was better even than we anticipated. We made good use of the kayak and stand up paddleboards included. The lawn was big enough to accommodate our badminton set. The table/dining area easily accommodated our family of nine. Two of our kids spent a lot of time fishing from the adjacent causeway. We also enjoyed reading beneath the shady tree and watching the lake. It's close to several good places to hike, too. We will strongly consider returning! Maureen answered questions promptly.

This a great lakefront property and really nice home. If the weather had been a little better, the outdoor area would’ve been fantastic to enjoy. Beautiful views of the lake. Having little ones, I really appreciated that this home had a lot of items for kids too. Property owners were very responsive, accommodating and easy to work with. would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay here again in the future.

Lovely and peaceful setting with a well-equipped kitchen and every entertainment need provided. We hated to leave, but left relaxed and restored. Perfect for water activities and access to all that Door County has to offer! Our hosts were attentive and responsive. We look forward to renting again!

Multi Family Get Away

We enjoyed our time at the Lakeside Cabin. Over all it was a wonderful stay. We loved being able to canoe and kayak right in the back yard and loved having a fire at the end of the day. We didn't realize the property was right off a main road. So we were a little bummed about that, but did enjoy the walking distance to Coyote Roadhouse (which we totally recommend)! The cleanliness of the house over all was good, but I'm not sure the floors were mopped. It felt very dirty and our feet/socks were pretty dirty as well. But those things I would say weren't too big of an issue to say to not rent this place again. All the other details made our trip great. The communication between the owners and us was also amazing! They were quick to respond and super helpful. I even left my DSLR camera by accident and they are willing to help get that back to me. Thank you so much for opening your home to allow us to make some memories as a family.

Peaceful lake front wonderland!

First of all, the hosts are fabulous. They responded to questions quickly, communicated clearly and had everything ready for our arrival… including having the dock, boat and water toys ready for us to experience Kangaroo Lake completely, even though it was early in the season. So much appreciated. They also gave tons of information about the home and surrounding area restaurants, attractions, parks, etc…and recommended many “must see” locations on the peninsula that greatly helped with planning our time there. Nicely centrally located to be able to get anywhere on the peninsula quickly and with ease. We are from California and very familiar with beautiful scenery but Door County did not disappoint! We were 9 adults ranging from 31 to 71 years old and all of us had a great time exploring all the area had to offer. The cottage is cozy, kitchen well equipped and the huge dining room table accommodated all of us for meals and story telling. We spent a lot of afternoons in the grassy backyard, sitting in colorful Adirondack chairs soaking up the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying the peaceful isolation and each other’s company. A beautiful location for a family to gather! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Great long weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend for my bachlorette party, the property was well maintained, great backyard area with plenty of seating. We loved having fires at night! The double kayak, SUPs, and canoe were great for our group to get out on the water (which was very clean!), and the yard had a perfect view of the sunset. The location was also great for going to wineries and state parks, most things were about 15 mins away or less. Would definitely return in the future!

Comfortable home good location

We (4 women) enjoyed our stay. Home was as presented, beautiful lake view, patio we used morning and evening, kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms were good and we liked having 3 bathrooms. Enjoyed exploring the area as so much to do - only a short drive to Peninsula State Park, Baileys Harbor and Cana lighthouse, Cave Point County Park and Ephraim and the Old Post Office for fish boil. The 2 person kayak was great to take on a paddle around the island. Hosts were very quick to respond to any question. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful waterfront property on the "quiet" side of the peninsula but centrally located to everything that Door County has to offer. Kangaroo Lake is a sandy warm lake which is great for swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.
