Entspannen Sie sich und genießen Sie den Ozean von diesem 1200 qm großen Ferienhaus einen Block vom Meer entfernt. Dies ist der Strand, wie er früher nur Meeresrauschen war. Es gibt keinen Lärm von Autobahnen oder Verkehr.
Das Haus verfügt über ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit Meerblick und einem WC im Obergeschoss sowie ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit Meerblick und einem Vollbad.

Relaxing Getaway

Wonderful, quiet location to getaway for a couple of days. We enjoyed walks on the beach in between comfortable times reading and playing games at the beach house. We would happily come back.

Great base for beach fun

Our family with older kids stayed here. The surf cabin has everything you need for the beach-no need to bring stuff. There are so many beaches, hikes, tide pools, little restaurants and shops to explore around this area BUT not close enough to be busy. You drive to people which is part of the reason we love it here. We cooked/ grilled every day.

Unbeatable location

We aren’t first timers to Lucy’s place nor will this be our last. As always we had a blast and the only downside is having to leave when our vacation ends. I would come back for sure!

We had a great week! The house is a charming beach house with great views and unbeatable location. The only down side was the bedding and linens were not very fresh. We washed everything the first day of our stay. The extras in the garage was awesome. We would come back again!

Great stay in Cape Meares

Our family of three & two dogs enjoyed this wonderful, cozy Cape Meares home. It has great ocean views and is a 1 minute walk to the beach. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook each night and morning, and the wood stove kept us toasty warm. We’d gladly stay here again!

Couples Retreat

Surf Cottage is a great place to stay. The house and the proximity to the beach is why we keep coming back. This is our third stay at Cape Meares and it did not disappoint. We had sunny warm weather one day and cold rainy weather the rest of our time…and the wood stove was perfect to warm up and dry out. The home is clean and cozy and we hope to return again!

We have been renting this beach house for a while now. The view is just unbeatable. Who doesn’t like to spot an eagle in the neighbors tree or a whale spout out in the ocean when prepping your families meals. Highly recommended property!

Comfortable with great ocean views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed house. The ocean views were a calming delight. The area was quiet and we got to see elk nearby on a couple early mornings. We felt at home in the comfy furnishings and were very happy to find it clean & without air fresheners. Nice to have the wood-burning stove in the evenings. We hope to stay here again!

Unbeatable Location

This was our second time staying in Cape Meares and our first time at this house. The location of this place simply can not be beat. 1 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on the Oregon Coast. House was perfect and had evereything we needed including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and lots of space for the kids to claim a little corner. We also loved the bikes that were available for use for biking down to the Bayocean Penninsula. We can wait to stay here again.

Peaceful Location with Nice Views

The house is set back but still has a great view, especially from the upstairs suite. And access to the beach (which goes for miles to the north end of the spit) is half a block away. Everything was clean and in good condition. It is nice to be able to prepare meals and look out the window and see the ocean waves. Our grown family: daughter, son and daughter-in-law, my husband, and myself fit nicely in this unit. The back room for our daughter was nice and cozy, although no view from there. The upstairs suite is very nice and the views are great. The downstairs bedroom was more than adequate for our son and his wife and conveniently located to the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, spices, etc. There was a nice selection of puzzles--we chose one of the hardest, but were able to complete it. TV streaming selections were good. There were even some good DVDs there for our use. As our family grows, this place likely won't be big enough, but for this current group it was perfect. This area is far away from shopping and restaurants....about a 20 min drive into Tillamook along a winding road, but it was perfect for us. The town of Cape Meares may not have amenities, but it has some really nice people living in it. There are trails off of several several streets that lead up to the cape. This was just a peaceful place which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a great time at the house. House close to the beach. Our bed was super comfortable. We had emailed Lucy on if a hot tub was on site. She never got back to us on that. No hot tub. We decide to go with the house. The weather was wonderful. Sunny but cold no breeze.

An Excellent Stay!!!

Our weeklong 2020 vaca stay here at Cape Meares was EXCELLENT!!! Mike and Lucy are great!!! House location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood steps away from a terrific 4 mile long sandy beach with little to no traffic during the week (few more folks on the weekends). Great opportunities in the area for sightseeing, shopping, beach walks, fishing, crabbing, and more. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the area and the chance to completely decompress was great!! Thank you!!! Already planning a return trip!!!! :-)

Great location!

The beach was so close; we had a lot of fun! The house had everything we needed (bring your own cooking oil) plus more! The back tv room with the futon served as a very useful 3rd bedroom for us; it is chillier in there but it has a wall heater. The house is full of daylight & on a fairly private road. The partially covered deck was a great place to brush off the sand & keep our beach gear (altho beach gear is also included with the house!). We will definitely be back.

Great Home

The house was lovely and clean upon our arrival. Check in/out was a breeze. The directions given to us with our check in information was helpful in finding the house. It’s not directly on the beach but the walk to the beach is a quick trip on foot. We loved listening to the ocean waves or watching it from the windows. One day we even saw a whale while looking out the living room window. This property had a lot of useful items we could use (very generous of them) to play in the area of Cape Meares. We had a lovely time and hope to come back again.

We had an interesting stay. High winds and threats of forest fires surrounded our get away. A tree went down blocking the only way in and out of this vacation community. The tree also took down our power, landline and WIFI. A little over 24hrs the power, landline and WIFI were restored. It was an adventure.

This beach cottage has everything you need for the prefect Oregon Coast vacation. The sound of the ocean from this location. Clam guns & shovels, crab pots, fishing poles, two bikes. Enjoy board games, puzzles and a nice wood stove if the weather does not cooperate. You can still enjoy the ocean view while keeping warm by the wood stove. Netflix, dvds, Movies or create a gourmet meal in the well equipped kitchen.

Enjoy Cape Meares Lighthouse and the famous Octopus tree or head north to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
