Best stay in Acadia

My family of 4 had such a great time in this home in Southwest Harbor. I am so thankful for this peaceful retreat away from the crowds and stress of Bar Harbor. The house was lovely, quiet, and cozy. It was so clean and well-constructed. We have stayed in rental properties about twice a year for the last 12 years, and this one was my favorite. The owners are meticulous with their information and instructions which I really appreciated. They took as much time to prepare the home and visitors as I did to plan my vacation. I will recommend this home to everyone I meet who would like to visit Acadia!

Great place

We loved our stay here! The location is great for the southwest harbor and a quick drive into the rest of Acadia and bar harbor. Eric was incredibly responsive before and during the stay. A small issue arose during the stay, but Eric made sure to make sure it was remediated immediately.

Great location to and from Acadia!

I love the location of this rental. It is close enough to Acadia, Bar Harbor and anything else you may need, while also being secluded. Being a newer construction, everything is nice and new inside. Also loved each lightswitch being labeled, made knowing what each switch did so much easier. Only suggestion would be to have extra blankets available as there were none anywhere. Host was super easy to communicate with and we will definitely keep this rental in mind for future trips to Maine.

Perfect location

This property was away from busy Bar Harbor, but close to Bass Harbor, Seal Harbor, and many other Acadia attractions. Great hiking trails are located close by, some in walking distance. We truly enjoyed our short stay here.

Great Vacation

My wife and I stayed here for three days during a New England road trip. Eric was awesome. Provided excellent recommendations. The VRBO was clean and in a great location with hiking trails one min away. Wouldn't need to think twice about staying here again. Highly recommend.

Clean, new and good location

This was a great little 2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment. It is new and clean. The location is great. On the "quiet side" of MDI but only 20-30 minutes from ANP visitor center and loop road and Bar Harbor. 3 minutes to Beal's, must try lobster roll! Eric was a great communicator. The apartment does share a common entry with downstairs studio apartment. And the deck is over the downstairs patio. However, there were only guests there 1 of our 4 nights. Just know there is the potential to be sharing yard/cornhole/grill with someone else. They have everything including scent free laundry detergent. A little thing but we have some sensitivities and no strong odors on the sheets made it nice for sleeping. Would love a fire pit, but I undestand the danger/liability. Overall, it was a great stay!

Perfect place from which to explore MDI and Acadia National Park!

Eric's house is a perfect place from which to explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. We loved being on the "quiet side" of the island, which is close enough to all of the sites and hikes we were interested in, while being a bit removed from the crowds around Park Loop Road, etc...The unit is thoughtfully designed, and had everything we needed. We especially loved spending time on the deck. Eric is a great host, is incredibly prompt in responding, and proactively communicates in a way that was greatly appreciated. We're eager to return!

Clean New House

Pros: Clean and everything is new. Beds comfortable and I enjoyed having multiple pillows. Owner is a great communicator and I appreciate getting check-in details early. Cons: No air conditioning, although it is listed has having it. So hot and humid when we were there, hard to sleep, the house was in the high 80s by late afternoon

Great Place To Stay

There were 2 adults, 2 children ages 9 & 8, and 2 small dogs that stayed comfortably in this beautiful well appointed apartment. There’s a great big deck to relax and soak up the beautiful Maine weather as well. Eric was in constant communication. Check in was a breeze. The place was clean and had no animal odor. Loved having a washer and dryer in the house as well. The house is located within walking distance to Flying Mountain Trail and other trails if you like to hike. Echo lake is close by as well. It’s close to Beals Lobster too. We were there almost every night for dinner. Highly recommend staying here. Would definitely stay here again.

Family friendly home away from home

We had a great time staying during our trip to Mount Desert Island! The home was clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen utensils. Great location in Southwest Harbor felt quiet and peaceful with just a short drive to get to Bar Harbor. We loved that we were so close to flying Mountain trail and Echo Lake Beach. Eric was a wonderful host, they kept us informed on the comings and goings of the lower unit during our stay and were quick to reply when we reached out. Highly recommend this stay!

A few days in Acadia

This was an excellent place to stay. Super clean and new. Nicely decorated. Pretty location. The owner was very easy to work with and he initiated most communication to keep me informed. Easy drive into SW Harbor for dinner and groceries. Maybe 20 minutes to Bar Harbor - we were glad to be away from the busyness of town. Acadia is a lovely park - we really enjoyed our visit.

Southwest Harbour stay

We enjoyed this newly built apartment in the middle of the woods. We loved everything about the place and our host, except the weather was so hot (it was July) that no AC made the place quite uncomfortable. There are ceiling and table fans, but adding in even one AC unit would give this accommodation an A+ rating.

Southwest Harbor stay

This rental exceeded our expectations! It was comfortable, clean, and well decorated. Eric had excellent communication with us during the entire rental process . The most important thing was in a convenient location. It was minutes away from restaurants, mini golf, shopping, hiking and a grocery store. Also, Acadia National Park was only 20 min away. It was nice to be able to come back to a less congested part of the Island after visiting the park!

Absolutely Stunning!

Excellent 10 stars! The unit is just as it's listed. Comfortable beds, bedding, and bath towels. All the nice touches; couch, chairs, deck furniture, extra outlets, etc. etc. we could go on and on about how special this place was! Every detail down to the minute with the traveler in mind! After hiking, nice to pamper yourself with excellent comfort and awesome details! Having the trailhead down the road is spectacular! There was even a dog bowl for our pup! He loved the place too! Thank you for sharing your place with us! Very Appreciative!

Great place

Great place, totally brand new. Cozy, lovely and well appointed. Easy check in and out, great communication from the owner. It’s location is perfect to get out and enjoy Acadia then come home and relax. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Bar Harbor area.

Perfect location and great place to stay

I am happy that we stayed here during our time in Acadia. The location was convenient to a grocery store, restaurants and some of the best trails. It wasn’t as busy as the other side of the island which was a huge positive. The property itself was clean, beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The only minor thing I have to say is that I wish there was east one other mirror other than the one in the bathroom. Overall everything was awesome.
