Nur sechs Blocks vom Strand und einen Block vom Jachthafen entfernt bietet dieses bezaubernde viktorianische Strandhaus im Erdgeschoss modernen Komfort mit einer riesigen modernen Küche, einem geräumigen Wohnzimmer mit einem Gaskamin und einem brandneuen WC sowie dem süßen Charme von Ein schickes Häuschen im Obergeschoss mit drei Schlafzimmern und einem Vollbad.

Unser Ferienhaus ist komplett ausgestattet mit allem, was Sie für eine unterhaltsame Woche am Strand benötigen, einschließlich einer voll ausgestatteten Gourmetküche, Handtüchern, Bettwäsche, Strandtüchern, Liegestühlen und Fahrrädern. Das Haus hat einen großen eingezäunten Hinterhof mit Terrasse, Essecke, Sitzbank und Grill.

Das Cottage befindet sich direkt im historischen Viertel von Cape Charles, sodass Sie alle Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad oder mit dem Golfwagen erreichen können! Golfwagenverleih sind zu Fuß vom Haus entfernt.

Das Haus hat einen großen Meister mit einem Queen-Size-Bett (für 2 Personen) sowie eine Familiensuite, die ein Zimmer mit einem großen Bett (für 2 Personen) und ein anderes mit einem Etagenbett und einem Rollbett (für 3 Personen) hat.

Unser Hotel verfügt nicht über eine Wäscherei, aber wir liefern endlose saubere Handtücher, Bettwäsche und Strandtücher für die Dauer Ihres Aufenthalts.

Enjoyed our after Labor Day stay

Cape Charles is a beautiful town on the bay and did not disappoint with the a clean beach and small town atmosphere. Plenty of great places to eat and try some local craft brews. The house was nice with the updated kitchen being the highlight of the property. We enjoyed our walks to the beach and around town, being the active people we are, but it is just short of a mile to the beach from this location. If you are not up for that, no problem, just consider adding the golf cart rental from the property owner.

Girls weekend

Lenore’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway with my mom! The house was as described/pictured and met all our needs. Beds were comfy and the neighborhood was very quiet, so very restful after spending our days exploring all Cape Charles has to offer. Great weather, beach, bakeries, parks, wine tastings, restaurants, sunsets, and ice cream! Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Thank you!

Perfect Weekend

We had a perfect Cape Charles weekend. Lenore was an excellent host, extremely responsive and helpful. The place was exactly what we needed, and the golf cart was an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Plenty of space for our family!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Home had everything we needed, plenty of space for our family to hang out and play games during rainy days, the entire home was well-stocked with toiletries, towels and the like. The water cooler with water included was a nice surprise! Lenore was a great host and we look forward to coming back!

Great Week Away

We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor shower was a major bonus! The house was tidy, had ample towels and beach towels to borrow, washing machine, games, books, coffee, no clutter and Lenore was super responsive throughout our stay. We rented the golf cart for a couple days, which was fun and made traveling around town very convenient.

Lovely house in Cape Charles

Had a great stay at Lenore's place. Wonderful location that was convenient to the beach and the shops/dining in town. It was helpful to rent the golf cart to get ourselves and our one year old to the beach. If we didn't have a little one it would have been an easy walk. Lenore was very responsive and answered quickly when we struggled with the lock box. The house is historic and the upstairs is more rustic than downstairs, but suited our needs well. The bed was comfortable. Very nice yard with outdoor picnic table and patio. Would stay again!

Great beach house

Property was in a great location, easy access to the beach and the golf cart was awesome! Outdoor shower was very helpful with getting the sand off the kids. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Great time

We had a great stay! The location is perfect to take a quick golf cart ride to the beach or to the downtown area. The house was a great place to wind down and the outdoor shower helped keep the sand out of the house. The owner was great to communicate with the entire stay.

Great stay

Our family had the best time in Cape Charles. We loved that we could park our car for the week and golf cart everywhere. The house was a short ride to everything- the beach, restaurants, put put golf, etc. We loved having an outdoor shower for easy clean up for the kids after our beach days.

Classic Cape Charles

This home is a wonderful example of a restored Cape Charles original. It has all the modern features you would want while capturing the feel of a small beach town property from another time. The home is well equipped and furnished, nicely located, and well maintained. The hosts are super responsive. We had a brief but very enjoyable say.

Awesome Stay

We had a wonderful stay at The Jay House! The sleeping arrangements were perfect for me, my mother in law, and two young kids (2 & 5). The house was located within walking/biking distance to the playground and the beach. However, I highly recommend renting the golf cart! We took it everywhere we went all weekend. Lenore was super accommodating and even let us check in early.

A great base to venture from and return to!

This property is fully equipped with an amazing kitchen, (grill outside and more seating!) breakfast bar, dining room table that seats 6 with a smart TV, then there is the comfy living room with books galore, all kinds of great board games for family fun and a large smart TV for down time. The bedrooms are cute, and meant for sleeping in. The mattress in the master bedroom where we slept was comfortable. there was an AC in the room, but our visit was during a chilly period, so we used the central heat instead. Lenore has complimentary bikes which we didn't use but appreciated the offer. We cooked most meals at the house and ventured about during the day, happy to come back to a comfortable, clean, quiet property. All in all, this house is perfect to use as your base camp for a great Virginia vaccation!

Beautiful house with everything you need!

We absolutely loved our stay! This was our first time visiting Cape Charles and I’m so glad this was the home we chose to stay in! It’s on a quiet street with a good size back yard and all the amenities we could ever need. Appreciated the coffee bar, abundance of nice beach/bath towels (it was really nice to not have to bring those!), cornhole, outdoor gas grill, bikes and beach chairs. Also the bed in the primary bedroom is VERY comfortable, and we’re picky when it comes to beds. We also rented the golf cart which I highly recommend. We didn’t drive our car at all while we were there as it’s an easy 2 minute golf cart ride to everything! Lenore was very easy to communicate with and checked in with us throughout the week (via text). Promptly brought TP when we ran low and dropped off an extra jug of water. I love the charm of the house too but appreciated that the kitchen has been updated.

Cape Charles Gem - Soaking up the end of summer!

Great location! Easy walking, biking and quick golf cart rides to any place we wanted/needed to go. Definitely recommend renting their golf cart. The house was perfect and roomy for our family of 5. So many nice amenities - new kitchen, outdoor shower, lots of bath and beach towels, bikes were awesome, etc. We loved the bay beach (bring floats for the water), restaurants and shops were great and all super close to the house. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and then watching the beautiful sunsets on the beach each night. House was quiet, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Lenore was awesome - great communication and responded super-fast. We plan to return, hopefully sooner than later. Thank you.

Great place. Great owner.

We rented for the week with our 2 kids. The house is nicely updated but still keeps that old school Cape Charles charm that you're looking for when you vacation here. Master bed was nice and comfy. The golf cart that came with the home unfortunately had a mechanical issue when we got there. (Nobody's fault. These things happen.) But it was nice for the owner to be understanding and get it fixed as quickly as possible while also pro-rating the charge for the days it was out of service. Highly recommend.

Great Family Vacation

The owner was very helpful and reached out during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. She was a pleasure to rent from! The kitchen in the home is newly renovated and very nice. We couldn't find a colander in the kitchen but otherwise it had most everything we needed. The bunk room gets really hot at night- upstairs is cooled by ac units and this room relies on the unit in the adjoining bedroom. The provided box fan helped, but it was honestly still pretty hot and our kids ended up on the floor in our room eery night. Not many toys for little ones so be sure to bring your own from home. We were grateful that the host provided a nice water cooler system with hot and cold drinking water. She even had an extra water jug delivered during our stay. The golf cart was really great- having the storage space in the back was awesome! We also really appreciated the outdoor shower (although sight lines to neighbor's windows kept us in our bathing suits despite an otherwise seemingly private shower space!). Overall I would recommend this house!

Lenore & Rocco have been vacationing in Cape Charles since 2013 when they took their first family vacation there and fell in love!!! They knew then that the 23310 was a very special place. In 2017, they purchased the "Jay House" with the thoughts of one day retiring...but within 6 months knew they didn't want to wait and made Cape Charles their home in 2018 full time. Since then, they have moved out to the waterfront to a more rural area and now enjoy sharing The Jay House with other families. They are also the owners of Love + Rosemary, a well known catering company on the shore and Edible Picasso Co. a cafe/store in downtown Cape Charles.
