We loved our secluded, mini vacation at Thai and Cynthia’s house barn (and lovely vineyard). It has everything our multi-generational family needed and was so comfy and cozy, from indoor to outdoor. Nature is at our fingertips. We didn’t expect to spend so much time in the downstairs outdoor lounging and dining area, but after the first morning having our coffee or tea there, listening to the birds tweeting all around, and grilling every night, enjoying the sunset, chatting and seeing the stars fill the night sky, we just fell in love with this property. The house indoor is wonderful and so clean. The kitchen is well stocked, including a full spice rack. There’s dishwashers both indoor and outdoor - an extra level of convenience. We had planned only one excursion away from the property (Safari West), and had brought food along for all meals. But did find ourselves making a run to the Safeway that’s about 15 min away driving. By then, we had become familiar with the well-paved, well maintained, single lane road, and was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of rolling hills all around, speckled with grape vines here and there. We are so grateful their property had been spared in the fires around the Santa Rosa area in the past years. We felt so relaxed after this vacation among the beautiful setting, with the horses and chickens looking out from the upper floor windows, and the gorgeous oak trees across from the outdoor lounging area. We had a chance to meet Cynthia and Thai, who are so warm, welcoming hosts, and had answered all of our questions via text or Vrbo message board or in person. They are experienced hosts and by following their written instructions for the drive to the property, house usage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay even during the recent heat wave. Many thanks to them! (The only extra tips we can think of are to bring mosquito repellent coils or devices if planning to spend evenings outside in the downstairs lounge and dining area, and a heat shield for car windows during the day.)
