Willkommen in Ihrem Zuhause, umgeben von den Smoky Mountains am Lake Santeetlah!

Lake Santeetlah bietet alle Wassersportarten, Angeln oder einfach nur Entspannen auf Ihrem eigenen Schwimmsteg. Sie werden keine schönere Kulisse mit 80 Meilen Küstenlinie finden. Rund um den See liegt der Che-oh National Forest.

Ihr Rückzugsort am See umfasst zwei Wohnzimmer mit herrlichem Blick auf den See. Das Hauptwohnzimmer hat eine große Steinmauer mit Holzofen, Unterhaltungszentrum und nur wenige Schritte zu einer großen überdachten Terrasse mit einer schönen Hollywoodschaukel!

Das Erdgeschoss ist eigentlich eine komplette Wohnung mit einem kleinen Kühlschrank und einer Mikrowelle. Es ist ein Schlafzimmer und eine volle Höhle mit einem Fernseher und einer Couch mit einem ausziehbaren Bett.

Beide Sofas machen Betten für zusätzlichen Raum.
Die Aussicht auf dieses kleine Stück Bergparadies ist jeden Tag atemberaubend!

Die Küche wurde mit einem neuen Geschirrspüler, Kühlschrank, Herd, Spüle und Fußböden umgebaut.

Der Yachthafen befindet sich direkt am Eingang des Berges und es können Boote und Jetskis gemietet werden.

Mein Zuhause ist voller Charakter aus all den Antiquitäten, die ich im Laufe der Jahre gesammelt habe

One of the best views on the lake

TLC Needed

Property was nice. Lake was beautiful. However, property needs a bit of maintenance. Beds are in need of replacement. Several places where paint is peeling. Carpets have several spots and floors had not been mopped. House was comfortable but definitely needed a bit of TLC.

Great location and front porch

The location is great. The porch was great. The communication was great. The house was not. We left early because the beds were so uncomfortable. There was someone's dirty t-shirt left in a chair on the main floor bedroom. The house was musty smelling, the screen door was busted so we couldn't get breezes from the outside. The kitchen was well stocked and clean but there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and most of the light fixtures.

Easy lake access

The location is perfect and the views are wonderful with easy lake access. The house is dated and dark and the beds were uncomfortable. It needs a makeover.

Beautiful Lake front

It’s like 2 separate apartments upstairs & down. Perfect for 2 couples or a family. Each couple has their own privacy & for families, the kids get their own space. BEAUTIFUL view as you’re right on the lake.

Lakefront Home with a view to amaze.

We loved the view and spent alot of time on the back covered porch. The separate apartment downstairs for very nice for privacy and family members enjoyed it. Unfortunately the bed was in need of replacement. it was very bad. It's an older home, but clean and well supplied with towels, dishes, etc. Nice neighborhood and area of the mountains.

Quaint Cottage on the lake

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Santeetlah.. The cottage was dated but well kept and had a lot of history about it. We talked with several snow birds who live there half the year and learned about the community enough to realize ours was very original in parts of the house (the windows are the key!) The kitchen was very nice and we agreed it would be excellent for a family week stay. Since we were only there for the weekend we only used it in a limited fashion. All the appliances worked perfectly and there was plenty of cooking utensils and cookware to make complete meals. The living area was well used for card games at night - we did not use the TV at all since there was no cable (warned ahead of time about that - no way to get satellite due to tree cover either). They do have a FireStick and internet was excellent so we used our computer to watch some ball games. They have NetFlix available as well. Great instructions on how to use everything in the house! One issue was the downstairs bedroom - there was a double bed instead of the queen listed. Also the dehumidifier that ran continuously in the bedroom was a bit noisy, but we got used to it. Both beds were a bit noisy to sleep on and could use updating. The bathrooms were good and the hot water was plentiful. Outside was my highlight! I loved the view across the water to the dam. The birds and chipmunks kept busy around the back porch and we had to reload the birdfeeder while we were there...counted at least seven different bird varieties eating within 6 feet of us on the upper porch. I spent time on the dock at twilight enjoying the solitude (we were the only people in the cove!) but it probably is busy and noisy during the summer - the houses are pretty close to each other in the cove. Overall we enjoyed our stay and after talking with several locals may look for property in the community for snowbirding ourselves in the next five or so years! Thanks for sharing your house with us.

Lake House

The property is exactly as advertised. Beautiful views and great neighborhood. I enjoyed my stay, however I have two cons. 1. I arrived at check in time with no instructions on entering the property. I messaged the manager 2 hours before with no response. Even with a potential lag in the app, I should have been provided this information well before check in. One hour after check in time I contacted vrbo, they tried calling the manager with no response. 2-3 hours later I finally got a text with the door code and instructions. I was not happy to sit around for 3 hours not knowing anything and was already looking for a different place to stay. 2. The smell of perfume/cologne/air freshener was EXTREMELY strong. I am not a picky person, as I have plug ins and use febreze at home. I spent about an hour searching for the source of this eye burning smell. After two days with the doors open it became bearable.

Nice cabin

I had a few travel issues just getting to the cabin. None of which involved the cabin or directions. My boat decided to fail the first morning, my phone fell into the lake. All that and I had a nice vacation because of the cabin. The view down the lake, they have high speed internet. There are tons of hiking trails in the area, Just walking in the community was beautiful and peaceful. Looking forward to going back next year.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our lakeside retreat for the weekend. If you are looking for a simple, relaxing place to enjoy the lake view and a canoe ride this is a nice choice. It rained one evening and my husband and I loved sitting on the upper deck with a glass of wine and listening to the rain hit the water.

Our 25th Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was wonderful, homey and has a beautiful view of Santeetlah Lake ! It had all the amenities we needed and gave us the perfect deck to sit and sip wine and look at the lake , a little to cool and windy for boating and fishing ! Can’t wait to do it again in warmer weather!!!

Great Getaway

Best place we have ever stayed. House had everything you could ask for. Views of the lake from the porch were fantastic. Owner was very responsive and kept in touch throughout our stay and gave us pointers. I had wished I would have read the one about it being a dry county so if you like to enjoy a refreshing adult beverage make sure you come prepared. Can't wait to go back again. 5 stars all the way

Safe Stay for you and your pets :)

If you need a relaxing reset this is the place. I will be returning again. I enjoyed the rain underneath the canopy of trees and my furbie friends were safe and warm. The weather was both rain and sun I enjoyed both :) And did I mention how big the fish are!

Great lakefront location on beautiful lake

The setting on Lake Santeetlah is wonderful. The walk from the house to the lake is short and not steep. We brought our own kayaks and kept them on the private dock during our stay - just a few steps from the house and you are on the water. The owner offered her canoe and standup paddleboard for our use as well. The house was comfortably furnished, clean, and very well equipped. AC worked great but was not needed during our late September stay. When we were not paddling or hiking, we spent quality time watching the lake from the porch, enjoying the serenity. The only issue during our short stay was that the internet service was not working, so streaming entertainment options were not available. The owner responded immediately and contacted the internet service provider, but service was still out when we left. Owner was extremely gracious in working with us for a future stay, and we do hope to return!
