Das Haus Reilly ist ein starker Teil der irischen Geschichte auf PEI. Dieses Land wurde in der Mitte der 1800er Jahre angesiedelt und dieses Haus war das zweite Zuhause für die Familie gebaut. Es liegt auf 14 Morgen und hat leichten Zugang zum Strand. Es wurde alles unternommen, um das Haus so authentisch wie möglich zu halten, und mit Ausnahme von Bad und Deck ist alles so, wie es beabsichtigt war.

Das erste, was über die Reilly Haus ist seine Lage. Es ist wirklich ein weg von all Art von Hotel. Die gewundenen Weg zum Strand, dem privaten Bucht, einem plätschernden Bach und atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge machen dies zu einem Ort der Ruhe und Zufriedenheit. Der Strand ist ideal für Strandfeuer, Versammlungen und Sterne gucken. Sie werden nicht wollen, um alle in den Himmel vermissen muss Tag und Nacht bieten.

Charlottetown ist ein Tagesausflug. Zwei Stunden von Kapstadt Wolfe und während die Karten sagen, seine weniger das Laufwerk so malerische Sie benötigen, um für viele Pausen zu planen. Aber wenn lokale Ihre Sache können Sie eine Fahrt zum Nordkap entlang der Küste zu nehmen. Dieses Laufwerk wurde zu einer der 10 besten Laufwerke in Kanada. Sie können in Skinners Teich nehmen, nageln Teich, Meer Cow Pond, North Cape um nur einige der am meisten atemberaubende Aussicht zu nennen. Lokale Produkte und Fisch ist reichlich vorhanden. Der Fisch LKW kommt in O'Leary ein paar Tage in der Woche und am Straßenrand Stände bieten bis frischen Produkten. (Sie müssen die Irish Cobbler Kartoffeln versuchen). Es gibt auch eine Angel Bucht in der Nähe des Hauses, wo man frische Jakobsmuscheln und Hummer je nach Saison kaufen kann. Wenn Sie Glück genug, um einen Fischer, der Flaschen seiner eigenen Bar Muscheln geben sie nie zu finden up!

Die Küche in der Reilly House ist der Treffpunkt und hat eine aktualisierte Holzofen sowie eine elektrische Reichweite. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet und sind Sie eingeladen, die Gewürze und Heftklammern zu verwenden. Kochen lokalen Messe ist eine Leidenschaft und Mahlzeiten sind zu genießen. Liegen sind in der Küche zur Verfügung gestellt, weil es die natürlichste Sache scheint nach dem Essen zu tun.

Es gibt eine große Terrasse vor der Veranda und einen Außengrill. Es gibt auch ein Gebäude, das sich einen Hummer Herd hat und alle Befestigungen für einen Feed zur Verfügung gestellt. Sie können Ihre frischen Hummer direkt aus dem Boot zu Ihrem Topf zu genießen (Saison abhängig) erhältlich. Natürlich gibt es Austern. Wenn Austern sind Ihre Sache lassen Sie uns wissen, wenn Ihre Buchung und wir werden ein Treffen mit einem der lokalen Erzeugern zu arrangieren.

Mill River Golfplatz ist in der Nähe und es ist ein schöner Kurs. Das Gebiet hat auch einen Leuchtturm Sie besichtigen können, eine Kartoffel-Museum, und wöchentlicher Ceilidhs am Markus Halle auf dem Weg in Burton. Perfect ocean front retreat

What a find - 10/10! Our family of four (kids 17&19) stayed four nights at the end of August 20204. This beautiful farmhouse has an interesting history which is provided in a write up hanging on the wall. The house has been updated over the years to provide modern conveniences, yet it retains the charm and heritage of the original home. It is very well cared for - clean, comfortable and everything functions as it should. The property is amazing, with a mix of trees and grassy meadow which provides both privacy and a waterfront view from the house. The trail to the beach is a short, easy walk through the meadow and the waterfront is gorgeous and ever changing with the rise and fall of the tides. We had a fabulous time relaxing, beach combing, fishing, paddle boarding (we had our own boards), swimming, star gazing, roasting marshmallows by a beach fire and playing the many games found in the house. Everything we needed during our stay was provided, and the hosts were great people and quick to respond to any questions. Groceries were a quick 15 minute drive away, as were some fun attractions like the Potato Museum and the West Point Lighthouse. We stayed four nights but happily could have done a week or two. Thank you Lynn and Shawn for sharing this amazing property and for being such great hosts.

Seven Days in Heaven!

A beautiful home with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. With access to the beach on the property, I could walk down to the beach with my coffee every morning without waiting for the rest of the family to get up! When we weren’t at the beach, we relaxed in the screened in porch. Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had and made us feel at home. We enjoyed a few day trips- the 2 hour drive to Charlottetown gave us the opportunity to see most of the island and it was always so nice to return to C-SALT Cottage!

Incredible Stay

Our first VRBO experience and we could not have been happier. Driving up to this beautiful home was only the beginning as we rounded the front of the house to a view of the water that is post card worthy. Inside the house has all the amenities you will need for a perfect stay with the best room being the enclosed porch where we watched the sun go down each night over the water. Lots of space for everyone, and a great kitchen for cooking the local produce. Outside there is a great beach for rock collecting and swimming with the hosts providing all sorts of equipment to enjoy the area from bikes to outdoor sports equipment. The hosts were fantastic, answering all our questions quickly and providing a wealth of local knowledge. If you are looking for paradise in PEI, away from the heavy tourist scene this is the place for you!

Perfect PEI family vacation home

This house was absolutely perfect for our family's PEI vacation. The home has had many updates and is even better than the photos. At the same time, it has the character that only an older home possesses. I love all of the little details-- the sea themes, the Anne-inspired touches, the books on the shelves, etc. Having a private beach is amazing. What a view! The little stream and waterfall were lovely. We enjoyed playing cards in the sunroom on rainy days. Owner is quick to respond to any questions. Would stay here again!

The Reilly House - a home away from home

The whole family enjoyed our stay at The Reilly House. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We felt right at home as soon as we entered the place. The house is clean and well maintained and has pretty much everything you need for your stay. The outdoor property is amazing and the views from the screened-in porch are incredible. We spent many evenings walking the very large property and taking in the views. It’s an easy walk to the beach and the kids really enjoyed the stream that flows from the property into the ocean. Although the property is in a rather secluded area nothing is very far away and everything is easy to get used to. Thank you Marcy for sharing your very wonderful place with us.

July 2022 West Cape

Everything at the house was in perfect order and all your needs met. The biggest surprise was seeing the screened in deck at the back of the house. It was perfect for watching sunsets and catching all the cool breezes from any direction when it got too hot. We love the location because we have friends all on the West side. Easy access to Bloomfield and O’Leary to get groceries etc. A little air conditioner on the top floor would have been nice when there were no breezes, but otherwise a great place to stay.

Relaxing and Beautiful!

This beautiful property on Cape Wolfe exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled to arrive to a very clean, well-appointed home with breathtaking views. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch, that was completely screened in and bug-free and we would play board games and watch the gorgeous sunsets. Marcy was very accessible via text and thought of every detail to make our stay relaxing. She even provided beach towels for guests to use. The beach is a bit of a walk, but worth it- completely private and my kids loved running around and playing in the stream by the beach. I highly recommend this property and look forward to coming back soon!

Everything is true!

Our stay at the Reilly House was pretty much perfect! The house and the grounds are lovely, and as first timers to PEI, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The beach was spectacular – very private and fun to explore. Marcy’s suggestions of where to go and what do were spot-on, so besides enjoying the property and the beach, we had a great time exploring all around the North Cape. Our family felt welcome and completely relaxed the whole time. We had a few clarification questions for Marcy and Curtis while we were there and heard back super-quick. It's a fairly remote spot, but that was what we were looking for, and only added to the whole experience of being on the island. We can’t recommend this spot highly enough. Thank you, Marcy and Curtis!

Charming cottage on the ocean

As soon as we all pulled in the driveway we fell in love with this perfect cottage and serene property. It is everything we thought it would be and more! The home was so inviting and decorated spot on for a beach house. The windows in the bedroom were open to feel this inviting breeze from the ocean. Everything you would ever need was thought of and included. The property was so stunning. A beautiful long walk to the ocean surrounded by wildflowers and the massive ocean with sand dunes up ahead. We loved walking along the private beach searching for sea glass and hearing the waves of the ocean. We also enjoyed playing croquet on the lawn! This was an absolute perfect experience for us, thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Stunning location, cozy cottage

We loved the Reilly House! A bit off the beaten path, approx 1 hour 15 minutes from the Confederation Bridge, you won't be disappointed with the breathtaking views of the ocean in your own backyard. The beds were comfy, the cottage had everything you would need, worked well for our family of 2 adults, 4 kids. We didn't swim as the ocean was a bit choppy and cold for our liking but the kids didn't tire from going down to look for shells and crabs several times per day. We also found an amazing seafood restaurant 15 mins away called The Catch located south on highway #14 towards West Cape.

A great time was had by all.

We had a really wonderful 5 day stay. Six adults comfortably and entirely enjoyed the wonderful Reilly House cottage, walking and lounging on the virtually private red sand beach, swimming in the gulf, playing croquet and bocce on the expansive property, cooking fresh lobster, sunning on the deck, and exploring the cape and environs. We watched the Perseids meteor shower, and had a rainbow greet us one morning. A great time was had by all!!

Incredible hosts and place to stay

Can't say enough about our week at the house. It may not be for everyone, but if you want a more isolated location on PEI, with privacy then stay here. The hospitality and communication was incredible, fully stocked kitchen is always nice in a longer rental, there is plenty of space outside to run around and play, on top of a fairly private 3-4km stretch of beach (most people we saw was 4 in a day). House did get a little hot even with a breeze, and yes there were mosquitoes at various times, but we wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Make sure to stop in O'Leary for fresh fish whenever the fish truck parks (Tuesday and Friday for us). Also a great little restaurant and local beers at the Catch in West point.

A Magical Setting!

Our family loved spending a week here in July. The setting is just magical. Set with nothing but acres of wild flowers between the house and the ocean and a generous yard, my kids loved walking through the fields collecting wildflower bouquets, flying kites and playing soccer. We made driftwood fires on the beach nightly and loved exploring the very private beach, playing in the freshwater stream that leads into the ocean and playing in the sand. The sunset was amazing and the stars at night stunning. We made at an least once daily trek to the ice cream shop in O'Leary and cooked lots of fresh seafood. There were a few beaches/lighthouses within a short drive and some other spots we explored for half-day trips. The house itself is bigger than we thought it would be with an open kitchen/dining/informal sitting room and a larger separate sitting room downstairs as well as a keeping room with an updated washer/dryer. The three bedrooms are upstairs along with the bathroom and are decorated lovely with nice linens. The kitchen is well appointed and Marcy and her property manager Curtis were very courteous and prompt in communications. The only downside would be that there is only one bathroom upstairs, but we got used to it! I would also certainly recommend that anyone coming in the summer months bring bug spray as they can be pretty consistent outside. The view was worth it though! We want to make it back here!

Great house but busy beach with campers

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Upon arrival, the property manager failed to greet us, however, we were able to get in touch with the owner right away and were given access to the property. The house is lovely, well maintained, and well stocked. The beds were comfy, the kitchen plentiful, the bathroom functional, and having a washing machine available was great! We made use of the supplied lobster cooker and bought lobsters off the boat less than five minutes away. I would give the house four, maybe even five stars, except... We booked this rental with the explicit desire for a private beach. The description said the beach was private and secluded. Upon arrival, there were campers with two tents on the beach, and remained there throughout the week. Several other groups came by for day use during the week, some parking on what seems to be the backyard of the property, driving and/or walking beside the house. Some brought dogs and didn't clean up after them. One evening we found a hole dug on our section of beach filled with used toilet paper. Because of this issue with the beach, I am afraid I must give this rental property a three star rating.

We loved our stay in the Reilly house, and the beach is a treasure.

My family and I spent 6 nights at the Reilly house and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We spent hours swimming and exploring the beach, collecting sea glass, and enjoying beach fires in the evenings. The Potato Museum in nearby O'Leary, as well as the beach and Lighthouse at West Point, and the Wind Energy displays and hiking at North Point were all great and close day trips.

Total relaxation!

We loved our two weeks at the Reilly House. A wonderfully peaceful setting in Western PEI. A meadow, flowers, the sound of the waves, melodious wind chimes, a beautiful beach to explore: what could be better! The house was also perfect: clean, comfortable, remarkably and thoughtfully equipped. The beds were oh so comfortable! We experienced many gorgeous sunsets and enjoyed several campfires on the beach. We were also able to visit a good part of central and western PEI from our home base. The nearest shopping is in O'Leary a 15 minute ride away. There are several friendly and good restaurants within a 10 to 30 minute drive. We took advantage of some of these, but really enjoyed cooking and eating at the Reilly House while watching day turn into evening. We would definitely return!

Great place to unwind!

Our family has rented Reilly house several times. Two adults three children, lots of room for everyone. The cottage has a great deck to enjoy while having a morning coffee or cooking dinner on the BBQ, a large yard for the kids to run around and play. There is a secluded beach to enjoy and a creek running into the ocean that keeps the kids entertained for hours, adults also. The beach is also great for a bonfire after dinner. The town on O'Leary is only 15 minutes away for a quick shop or Summerside is a great fishing town for an afternoon of shopping. There are many attractions nearby for a day trip. Our family love this location and the family that owns it. We cannot wait to be back on the deck watching the beautiful sunset.

My Western PEI stay at Reilly House

I have stayed at Reilly House many times. I have to make sure I get there every year at least once. This year I had the privilege to have two stays. One in July and one in September. Both of those times had it's magical moments. The part that is so special is how pristine the property and the Cottage is. It's kept with the utmost respect of it's heritage in mind and it hasn't taken that farmhouse charm totally away. It sits on a glorious cliff facing the North Humberland Strait, where you can see the sun melt into the water and create some of the most incredible sunsets and skies you'd ever see, while ships pass by way over on the horizon. Or early in the morning you can watch the fishing boats heading out at sunrise, for their catch of the day and watch them return to the harbour at the end of the day, just to the left of the Reilly House property. You can watch all this from a beautiful sunny deck, or from the rocking chair by the Elmira Woodstove or just walk literally minutes down to the most secluded beach, where you can see for miles and miles and meditate, do your private yoga moves or exercises, read, take a favourite beverage, have a snooze, swim, take long beach walks around the cliffs, collect the drift wood for the evenings bonfire, walk endlessly looking for sea glass, or special rocks or for me anything that has a resemblance of a heart or just watch the action of the ocean and the horizon. You can plan your day around going to the wharf to buy some of the days catch for supper or order some of the best Oysters anywhere in the maritimes. You are only a few minutes by car away from a local market where you can get just what you need, along with fresh produce and fish. There's this feeling of family when you stay at Reilly House as you know that the owners have family and close family friends keeping a very close watch on this special property, because they know too that this is a very special haven for every reason why you would want to get away from the complicated and relax with simplicity. It's real and fresh and exciting, whether the weather is perfect or if it decides to acts up. Watching a thunder and lightning storm out on the horizon or the crazy skies, sunsets or sunrises are equally tremendous. I will be be back again and again as long as I am able too. The drive is worth it. Make sure you travel during the daylight hours to get there, for the magical and beautiful drive.

A piece of PEI Heaven !

A gorgeous 3 bedroom cottage on a large private lot , has access to its own red sand PEI beach .If your like me and Love seafood well PEI is world renowned for that and your local fisherman's warfe is a mere 4 kms away you can actually see it on your right from the beach ! Live lobsters if your there in lobster season .O'Leary is where your closest shopping is a mere 15 minutes drive will get you there . I can't even begin to describe the sunsets from that deck , nothing beats having a fresh lobster dinner with some white wine while watching the sunset and listening to the chime! You have everything you need washing machine , phone and even wifi ! Never had time for TV but it's there .Fishing charters are not too far away at Alberton if you like deep sea fishing . My favorite was taking in the fresh sea air and taking pictures of the stunning sunsets . While your there remember to visit the potatoe museum in O'Leary and try their PEI French fries .And what better dessert than Their award winning PEI ice cream served at the Dairy ice cream parlors through the area . PEI is very proud of its dairy products wither it be cheese , cream or ice cream and you will see why , it's how it used to be made elsewhere 40 years ago.I really enjoyed my stay at this cottage ( can you tell ? Lol) and you would have to experience it for yourself .

I have 3 grown children and live with my husband Shawn and our golden retriever, Copper. We grow oysters and fish lobsters. I enjoy sailing, step dancing, skating and spending time with family and friends. We live on the corner of the farm. We love the beach and the sunsets. I love the history of the cottage and the feeling you get when you walk in the house, it instantly feels like home. The sunroom is our favourite place to be and it seems the guests feel the same as they tend to spend most of their time there.

In the Spring of 2024 we bought this cottage which is located on the same farm where our home of 30 years is. I just can’t believe we have the opportunity to operate a business from our very own property. We enjoy being available for our guests when they have any questions. I cherish the time I’ve spent at the cottage.

The privacy of the beach is first thing I'm certain you will come to love. That and the serenity. The Atlantic breezes blow through the house and the sound of the waves from bed are so relaxing. Long walks await you both on and off the beach.
