The property was in an ideal location close to Waikiki beach and the Alawai Canal, lots of great walking routes.The property manager was very responsive and was easily reached when there were issues.The only cons with this property for us was the street noise and the very narrow Lanai.

The apartment was clean and well outfitted with all the necessary appliances & dishware. The only drawback was seating to relax - only a most uncomfortable rattan couch with scant cushion & 2x lumpy pillows! Fortunately, a large folding beach chair provided one of us a comfortable seat. 2x folding chairs were used as dining area in lieu of straight-back uncomfortable dining chairs.

Live local in paradise

It was a pleasure to spend a month in this location. While the apartment is slightly dated , it is spacious and very clean. Any issues we had were immediately resolved by the management. I was so impressed with their willingness to cater to any of our needs. You can’t get a better location - 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach, 2 minute walk to the canal and lanai!! Each day I was able to watch the sunrise and set if I walked in either direction. Shops, markets, hotels all easily accessible. Having a little market/ store right below was so convenient for basics. Even the laundry business on the first floor ended up being a boon , as I was able to easily acquire towels and sheets while washing mine. Loved it so much have already booked a month for next year!! Mahalo Ali’i Beach Rental for making our stay so pleasant .

I give it 💯 (100) million stars ⭐️ The management person I met upon arrival was handsome and nice. The other guests were friendly. It was clean, quiet, mad convenient to EVERYTHING, and it was well stocked ( pots, pans, coffee maker, rice cooker, cleaning supplies, free washer & dryer, you name it. There’s even a little bodega right there next door to the building. My only regret was not booking a longer stay. It was already fully booked so I had to move on 😔☹️😢 I felt at home and didn’t want to leave. Hopefully, I can book for my family when the come out here to visit us. I will surely miss this cozy little place.

The toilet wasn't fixed for two days (due to public holidays). The unit needs a good overall clean. The location was good, but I would not stay here again. Friends staying in same location had no mattress protection (mattress very soiled) and the room was not clean. The company recommended a transport airport transfer company who were rather expensive.

I'm sure it could have been a nice stay but due to my flight was cancel because of the hurricane I had called and check to see if they can cancel or change dates. I was told I can only cancel 30 days before which obviously I wasn't planning a hurricane to pass or planning to cancel 30 days ago. I believe the situation should have been taken care a little differently they weren't able to cancel or refund any of my money because I did not have "travel insurance". Even the airline which I did not have travel insurance was able to help me and change dates free of charge due to the category 4 hurricane . So just lost all the money booking this place. And I now booked somewhere else.

What they dont show and tell you

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit is located in a sketchy area just a few blocks off the beach. No pool, no deck, A/c is inadequate for the size of the unit, you can feel the springs in the mattress, The pictures are really deceiving in making it look a lot nicer than it was. we rented it for 5 days and stayed only 1 night. We found a hotel ( Royal Monarch) with a kitchenette 2 blocks away, closer to the beach, real lobby, pool, ice machine, elevators, decent area, etc.... for 135 / night as a last minute deal. Fortunately, I could afford to relocate and let the place sit vacant and pay for it as well. I would suggest calling the Royal Monarch first. We moved the very next morning and had a great time. Based on what we experienced the unit is overpriced, hey need to invest in a new bed, buy some ice trays, get a decent clock and fix the leak in the bathroom above the shower. Aloha

I wasn’t sure how much I’d like a long term stay in the city, but I fell in love with this location and simple condo. It was SO easy to walk to the beach and all the nearby spots along Waikiki. The mart downstairs was also clutch. Would absolutely stay here again, thank you!!

Our stay

Very nice property, no issues with anything except the oven doesn't work well. We did not report this because we only used it once and I don't imagine a lot of people would use the oven. The property is exactly as shown and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this place!!!!

Cute Place

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was not emailed the access code to get into the building until the next day. I did call and left a message with the number listed on VRBO as that is the only information I was given to contact anyone. I also emailed. A house keeper let me in. When I finally got the access code email I did email her back letting her know that I tried to contact them, her response was I should have contacted her directly... again, I did not have that information! I did let them know the air conditioner is extremely loud and I had noticed that there were other past complaints about it - I was told that I will be getting a 150$ credit due to that. The condo itself is perfect! Clean, close to the beach and shopping. Has every thing you need to cook and clean. If there was better communication I would recommend staying, but the lack of communication was a big deal for me.
