A fantastic place

This home was immaculate, a fabulous location close to beach and Pine St and property management very helpful. Be advised there are many,many stairs! The pool and hot tub very nice. And we had access to double garage for parking. We have been going to AMI for several years and this may be the nicest home we have rented.

Great house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this house for a family getaway, with our three children (teenage). The house was really nice, and is located about two blocks from the beach, which was easy to walk to and took no more than 5 minutes. Unfortunately for us, a hurricane hit just off the coast from us, so we only were able to have one nice day on the beach before being confined to the house the rest of our trip because of the weather. The one day we had on the beach was fantastic though. Beach is beautiful, and the sunsets are great. The house had everything we needed, and had the weather been better we would have enjoyed being able to use the pool when we got back from the beach.

Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay on Coconut Ave. The house is located in a perfect spot-two blocks from the beach and two blocks from shops and restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped and several chairs and a wagon were provided for the beach. Floats for the pool were included as well. Would be great to provide some activities for teens such as a ping pong table or games in the very large, empty garage area like other houses in the area.

Amazing vacation!

This property was everything we needed for our family vacation! The private pool was a big hit, it was a short walk to the beach and has its own little dock over the water. Thanks for a great time!

Great Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at Coconut Bayou! The location was excellent with close proximity to the beaches and Pine Ave. We have four children under the age of 11 and although we rented a golf cart (recommended!), it was also an easy walk to the gulf side beach with actual beach access and parking (which can be hard to find). We were also close to all the fun shops and restaurants, but far enough away that we had quiet privacy at the rental house. The house itself has rather dated decor, but is otherwise in good condition and had all the amenities we needed for our 10 day stay. The outside pool and hot tub area was great and used daily! We did have an issue the first day with heating the hot tub, but a quick call the the management company had it resolved in a very timely manner. We were impressed with their service. Overall, we had a great time at this home and I would rent it again in the future.

Great location, lovely property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We prefer the north end of the island and this was perfect. We were two blocks from the beach in one direction and Pine Ave. in the other. The home is very spacious. There are some areas that could use a little "refreshing". The couch and kitchen chairs are showing their age and need to be replaced. The house has a Nest thermostat and I reset the temperature several times a day (it seems that it reset to apx. 80 fairly often) so that it would be more comfortable for us. I contacted the office about operating the spa and was told to follow the directions posted next to the controls but there wasn't anything posted. I told them this, so I hope that has been rectified. Maintenance stopped by to pick up something that had been left and was very accommodating showing us how to operate everything. There are a lot of stairs...not necessarily a problem, just something to be aware of. It was great being able to bring our fur babies. (Dogs aren't allowed on the beach, but that wasn't an issue for us.) Florida Dreams was great to deal with, both before we arrived and after we got there answering questions/concerns in a timely manner. Overall, we were pleased with the property.

Great Location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is in a great spot. Pool is nice and very close to the beach. Was overall disappointed for the amount paid. Deferred maintenance on the home, spa bubbles didn’t work, a/c continuously reset to 80 degrees. Mosquito repellent is needed whenever outside around the home. We are Florida natives and very use to mosquitos. I have rented other homes on Anna Maria for the same price that were in much better condition and were more updated.

Coconut Bayou was truly a vacation dream. The private swimming pool was a gem and so handy for us to take a quick dip. Loved the spacious kitchen. One suggestion would be better beach chairs and an umbrella so you don’t have to rent them.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Coconut Bayou was amazing. Loved every minute. The only disappointment was that we wished we could stay longer. The house is in a great location. Only 2 blocks to the beach. . It’s very lovely and complete with everything you need. We received immediate response to any questions we had. (Although I do think added pool heat should be included in the rental cost) loved all the available beach items as it’s very difficult to travel with those larger items. Great stay. Will hopefully be back next yr.

The dock was perfect for our waverunner but not recommended for a boat. The kitchen was well stocked. All of mattresses should be replaced. The linen service is nice but would recommend more bath towels to avoid having to do laundry so frequently. The house does need a deep clean and some minor repairs. We definitely will return. Overall we give this vacation rental 4 stars.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location, clean, plenty of room and parking made Coconut Bayou a fantastic place to stay. There are a lot of stairs so if you have problems with stairs you might look else where. The only problem we had was with the swimming pool. We paid for extra heat and the pool was down for two days so water was chillier than the kids liked. Florida dreams were helpful when called but there was no one to come fix the pool at the time. We felt we had wasted some money on extra heat for the pool. Just a note: There are no working jets on the spa. Besides the pool problems it is a lovely place to stay and has everything you need to make a wonderful vacation. Would also recommend Florida Dreams as a good rental source.
