Diese reizende Einheit in South Carolina, Sweetgrass genannt, befindet sich auf Straßenebene. Es verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Doppelbett und ein kleines Doppelbett (geeignet für 2 Kinder oder 1 Erwachsener) und ein Bad (zu jedem Schlafzimmer verbunden), Holzfußböden, Kabel-TV und eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Entspannen Sie sich auf der Veranda und möblierte Terrasse umgeben von 100 Jahre alten Eichen drapiert mit spanischem Moos, schöne Gärten und historischen Häusern.
Dieses Kutschenhaus, das vor kurzem nach vielen Jahren der Vernachlässigung wieder zum Leben erweckt wurde, befindet sich neben unserem Haus, Craven House (im Southern Living Magazine zu sehen). Es ist wirklich die beste Lage in Beaufort so dass man zu den Restaurants zu gehen, Geschäfte, Museen und der Waterfront Park direkt am Yachthafen. Die Insel Paris, der Sands Beach in Port Royal und der Hunting Beach am Meer erreichen Sie bequem mit dem Auto.
Bettwäsche, Badetücher inklusive, sind enthalten. Haushaltsgegenstände / Haushaltsgeräte sind Mikrowelle, Kurig Kaffeemaschine, HD-Fernseher, Gasherd und Elektroherd, Kochgeschirr, Entsorgung, Kühlschrank, Pop-Up-Toaster, Internetanschluss, Haartrockner, Bügeleisen und -brett, Geschirr, Tee, Kaffee, Toilettenpapier , Papierhandtücher und französische Seife. Das Rauchen ist in der Einheit oder auf dem Grundstück nicht erlaubt.

We will be back next year (3rd time). Do wish it had 2 things: First - cable TV ( Couldn't get much of anything on a new TV and couldn't cast to it, watched my iPad mostly .... No ball games), and 2: a grab bar in the shower for us old people.

Close enough to walk to Bay St.

Although we were close enough to everything that we could walk, the area was very quiet. The house was well furnished. Even had bug repellent, beach towels, and sun block, for our drive to Hunting Island. We used the queen bedroom and the bed was very comfy. We will definitely book the Carriage House again.

Exceptional “southern charm” cottage apartment

We very much enjoyed this property! Perfect location in Beaufort’s historic district…close walking distance to town and waterfront park. This cottage has tasteful decor and furnishings…it’s better than the photos. The owner is a sweet southern lady that is very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Charming carriage house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the ground floor space of the charming two-story carriage house. The property was immaculately clean and fresh, and had everything we needed. The shaded porch had rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens. The location is perfect - close to Bay Street in the heart of the historic district. We will stay again when we return to Beaufort!

Nice cottage downtown

We enjoyed staying at this property. The cottage had all that we needed: clean bathroom, kitchen, living space, bedroom. Within walking distance to downtown but as my husband has a disability we drove the 4-5 blocks to get to the shopping end of Bay St. Easy parking. Recommend.

Great Place to Stay

We had a great time! The property is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. A short walk into Beaufort to enjoy the sights, food, and shopping. They had a music festival that we enjoyed as well. Would definitely recommend the home and area to visit. Even though the house was close to the town, there were no noise issues. Thanks!!

Beautiful Beaufort

My sister and I were first timers in Beaufort, SC. We stayed at the gorgeous carriage house at the corner of Craven and Newcastle streets. The housing was more than we even expected—spotlessly clean, beautiful antique furnishings, comfortable beds, AC worked great, and beautifully appointed, including some of the host’s original artwork. We can’t wait to return!!

Perfect!

This was the cleanest, most accommodating VRBO home we’ve stayed in. We were in the lower part of the Carriage House. It was beautiful and quaint. Ellen and Mike leave you wanting for nothing. Everything you need and even the things you didn’t know you forgot were available. So easy to walk the 2 blocks to town. Would and hope to stay again.

Lovely property in a wonderful location

We spent a long weekend in the lower apartment at the Bluff. The space is beautiful and very comfortable, and our hosts were welcoming and gracious. We loved staying in a gorgeous downtown neighborhood just a short walk away from the waterfront and so many shops and great restaurants. Loved sitting on the porch and seeing the magnificent live oak trees all around us. I would highly recommend the Bluff.

When Mike and I purchased Craven House, it had been neglected for many years. After a lot of hard work it is now reborn. It truly is a rich piece of history, and we love living in this South Carolina coastal town with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bonny Blue.
Mike is a retired architect currently involved in Beaufort city and county boards. Ellen is a retired portrait painter. Vacations from Atlanta down to Beaufort every summer to visit family, we bought this property because of our love for architecture, history and Beaufort itself. Ellen's family roots are in South Carolina, so it is like coming home to stay.

The Carriage House on Craven is central to all that is happening in Beaufort. During the many yearly festivals, parking is not easy to find in town. Just stay at the carriage house, leave the car and the festivals are a block away. Meander through one-of-a-kind shops on Bay Street and enjoy fresh local seafood in Beaufort's unique restaurants. If you don't want to eat out, a fully fitted kitchen is ready for you.
