Hale Kamaluhia (hawaiianisch für House of Serenity) ist unser tropischer Rückzugsort an der Westküste von Molokai. Unsere begehrte Eigentumswohnung im zweiten Stock verfügt über Gewölbedecken, die das Gefühl der Offenheit verstärken (und niemand geht über Sie). Sie befindet sich in einem der wenigen Gebäude des Resorts mit freiem Blick auf den Papohaku-Strand (einen der längsten weißen Sandstrände in Thailand) Hawaii). Da wir auf Molokai leben (einer der wenigen Eigentümer, die dies tun), verwalten und warten wir die Wohnung persönlich. Wir sind vor und nach jedem Gast in der Einheit, um sicherzustellen, dass alles sauber und in gutem Zustand ist, und wir sind auch nur einen kurzen Anruf entfernt, um unerwartete Wartungsprobleme zu lösen und alle Fragen zu Molokai, unserer Einheit, zu beantworten. Wir haben versucht, das meiste für Sie bereitzustellen, außer für Lebensmittel und Kleidung. Für Ihre Bequemlichkeit haben wir Strandstühle, Strandtücher, Sonnenschirm, einen kleinen Kühler, einen kleinen Getränkekühler, Schnorchelausrüstung, Tennisschläger und ein Fernglas für die Walbeobachtung in den Wintermonaten bereitgestellt. Sie finden unsere Küche voll ausgestattet mit Vorspeisekaffee, Tee, Gewürzen usw.

Fahrzeug
Wir haben ein Fahrzeug, das Sie möglicherweise während Ihres Aufenthalts mieten können. Wir vermieten es über TURO, da diese die richtige Versicherung anbieten und die Führerscheine validieren. Wenn Sie nicht länger als 3 Tage bleiben, müssen Sie es bei uns abholen, da die Zustellung zum Flughafen sehr zeitaufwändig ist und unseren Tagesablauf stört. Sie können Hele Mai Taxi oder Uber benutzen (wir haben unseren ersten Uber-Fahrer). Wenn Sie unser Fahrzeug nicht mieten möchten, sichern Sie sich bitte so schnell wie möglich ein Auto. Die 3 Autovermietungen sind Alamo (am Flughafen gelegen), Mobettah Cars und Molokai Car Rental (Sie können die Kontaktinformationen googeln). Sie können bei TURO auch Fahrzeuge suchen, die näher am Flughafen liegen.

I took my wife and 6 year old son to Molokai and we stayed here 3 nights. We found the property and condo clean and well taken care of and perfect for our small family. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Fantastic!

A well appointed condo in such a unique place. The space itself is well stocked and nicely laid out. The views from the comfortable lanai furniture can not be beat. The grounds are well maintained. The pool and beaches were beautiful and never over-crowded. This was our first visit to Molokai and we will most definitely be back!

Best stay!

This condo was fantastic! It was close to the lovely west side beaches which was convenient. They provided us with everything we needed besides groceries, of course. The condo was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. This was our home away from home and we are incredibly sad to leave. Host was responsive and very helpful.

Fantastic Experience

We had a fantastic experience staying in this condo. Everything was very well organized and prepared for our visit. The location is perfect; close enough to easily walk to the pool but very quiet with an amazing ocean view. We loved gazing at the stars at night. The owners are kind and great with communication. Paradise Found

This unit was just what we were looking for. The location was ideal. The bed was very comfortable and the view was excellent! The beach accessories were much appreciated. I personally would like to have had a more comfortable chair to sit on indoors due to my back issues but we spent most of our time outside any way. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation we have had! Everyone was very nice and friendly and the beings at the hot tub were great! We will definitely be returning next year!! We already can’t wait!

Your own piece of paradise

Our biggest issue was we did not realize how early the island closed now and we arrived late from Maui from California. Had I known that we planned a little different. The beach was out amazing we had it too ourselves for most of the day. We will diffinitely stay again. Mahalo.

Beautiful view and spotless accommodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yvette’s place! The view was breathtaking over the westcoast from the comfortable balcony with lounge chairs, in which we enjoyed incredible, star-filled night skies! The condo was spotless, had EVERYTHING we needed and even had a nice beach tote with towels all ready for our excursions. It has a nice, airy feeling and is the perfect, quiet spot to rest and relax in between island adventures. Yvette’s instructions and communications were well throughout and and we always received a quick answer when we needed it. (And the rental of her car went very smoothly and is to recommend!) If we ever make it back to Moloka’i, we would definitely want to stay again at Yvette’s condo (swim pool access inclusive!)

Hale Kamaluhia is definitely befitting of its name – calm and peaceful in every way. We appreciated the attention to detail, the tasteful décor, and the absolute all-around charm that this beautiful hale had to offer. The Ke Nani Kai resort's facilities accommodated us very nicely. We utilized all of their offerings: pool, heated whirlpool, gas BBQ area, even their tennis courts, and they have the cutest lending library! Our hosts, Mike and Yvette, were great. The communication back and forth was spot-on and we were happy to have been able to score one of their vehicles as a rental via Turo. Coordination of pick-up and drop-off was seamless. We loved every bit of our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Friendly Isle, we’ll be back! A hui hou until then!

Tranquility

Our first time in Molokai. It is a beautiful and tranquil place. Enjoyed the natural beauty of the island. The condo is in a very quiet area. Well supplied, comfortable and clean. It has a good view of the beach. Yvette was very polite and responded quickly to all the questions we had regarding the condo, activities and where to get supplies. This is such an adorable condo. And it was just impeccably clean, neat and cute. The beds were both comfy, and beach supplies good. My friend and I really enjoyed staying here. I would recommend that guests bring their own food supplies.

Relaxing paradise!

We spent 2 weeks at Mike and Yvette’s condo. It was wonderful. Nicer than the pictures portray. Super clean and spacious. The complex is well maintained, great pool facilities as well. We rented the Versa for the 2 weeks which was super easy for pick up and drop off. Everyone we met was super friendly. The beaches beautiful and empty! Rarely ran into more than a handful of other beach walkers. The only disappointment was ocean too rough for swimming. The two towns were like a throwback in time, which we loved. Also highly recommend the mule ride to Kalaupapa. Well worth the money. If you like to relax and “do nothing” (read, walk, swim) then this is paradise waiting for you. If you like lots of people and activities then not so much. Highly recommend this condo.

We came to Hawaii (Oahu) from New England with the Navy back in 1989 and fell in love with the people, the island, and the climate. We were blessed to return to Oahu again in 2009, but the increasing traffic made it less enjoyable & took a toll on us. In May of 2015, we made our first visit to Molokai & immediately fell in love with the island and the people. It's like "country" in the tropics. Imagine Hawaii of the past, unspoiled country and untouched beaches, no traffic & no stoplights! It reminded us a bit of the Oahu we knew 25 years ago, but even less developed. We retired from the Air Force in 2016 and moved to Molokai full time until 2020 when we were forced to close our B&B due to government COVID restrictions. If you like lights, noise, chain stores & restaurants, construction and need constant entertainment, then Molokai may not be for you. But if you love the ocean, are looking for peace, tranquility, beauty and want to see the Hawaii of yesterday, you may never want to leave.

Molokai is an amazing place. Unless you have actually been here, it is hard to explain. It is surreal to be the only one on a beautiful pristine beach in Hawaii or to come to a stop on the road only because you want to, or because you've arrived at your destination. There are only 2 gas stations, 2 grocery stores, and a few restaurants in town. You can buy organic produce and fruit from Kumu Farms (open Tues-Fri) and grass-fed meat fresh from Moloka'i Livestock Cooperative (M-F 7:30 am - 3:00 pm). Because the closest restaurant is 20 miles away, you'll want to cook most of your meals. There are grills right at the condo to help you do just that, as well as a kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare anything from scrambled eggs to a full hardy meal. We strive to provide everything you need to enjoy your stay and to continuously improve.

We want our guests to feel like they are coming home so we strive to provide everything you might need except food & clothes. Our condo and Molokai offer the chance to get away from it all. Enjoy the view of Papohaku Beach from our large lanai, walk along the beautiful pristine isolated beaches, drive on roads where there are very few other travelers, listen to the sounds of nature when there are no man made noises to clutter it. Fall asleep to the sound of the wind or the waves crashing on the rocks. On Molokai, you can truly relax and unwind. Mahalo for considering our place for you next getaway.
