Keine Haustiere oder Rauchen im Inneren. Könnte bis zu 6 schlafen. Hierzu gehört auch eine alleinstehende Ziegel Terrasse mit Bäumen, umfasst einen Holzkohlegrill, Picknicktisch und Feuerstelle. Die Kabine ist nur wenige Gehminuten von einem malerischen Rastplatz direkt an der Mississippi River. Der Fluss ist sichtbar aus dem Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Esszimmer. Staatseigentum entlang des Flusses ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt ist und für Ihre Aktivitäten im Freien und Ballspiele. Adler sehen in den Wintermonaten und Wandern durch den Wald oder entlang des Flusses alle auf der diesKabine ruhig beginnen kann.

Crooked cabin with character

Cabin built in early 1900s and retrofitted with electricity and modern amenities. Simple but comfortable. Kitchen floor was not solid-feeling and took awhile to get used to. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies. Relaxing.

Our Getaway

Julie has a wonderful gem in this cabin and she is one hard working woman! We stayed 5 nights and loved the calm, sweet feeling of the space. It’s so comfy with beautiful river views and surrounded by trees and nature sounds. Very convenient, close to restaurants and stores, easy to find but yet separate and quiet. Julie has taken great care of this property and takes great care of her guests! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful spot, but read the reviews to know what you're getting

My kids were extatic to see the place. They loved the "tiny house". I loved the gardens and view. We had everything we needed, except wifi. That really through us through a loop because my husband needed wifi to work remotely and that's one thing I made sure was in the listing. However, their wifi was out of order and I would have liked to be notified by the owner. FYI- if you need something from the owner you'll have to call. She did not respond to texts. I was not prepared for the slanted and soft floors. My kids thought it was cool though. There are no interior doors, except for the bathroom, but we couldn't get it to lock. Shower worked great. There's only one bed. All the kids slept on cots and air mattresses. There were lots of games and toys for the kids to play with. We had a good stay overall.

Great Location

Great location with an amazing view of the Mississippi. Landscaping in front is lovely. Much work being done in back so I don't know about that. The cabin had everything we needed but it is quirky--like being on a boat with floors that slanted every which way. So fine and even fun if your ankles are strong. Not new, but unique with a great view.

Great little place

Nice place. Very comfortable and welcoming. Beautiful lot with great views of the river. Enjoyed a fire and the quiet in the evenings. Very easy check in and communication. Really enjoyed our stay!

House built in 1901 so has uneven floors, but you couldn’t ask for a more charming place. So clean accommodations and everything you need to make your stay pleasurable. I would recommend and will be booking it again!!

Great location! Picture-perfect sunsets!

Great little cottage in the perfect location! We got there just in time to see the most beautiful sunset right over the river! Stunning! There were several little quirky things about the cottage because of its age, but in our opinion, they just made it even more charming. There was a problem with the Wifi apparently because of the massive storm that hit the area earlier in the summer, but we made due without. I would definitely recommend!

Very cute and clean! Had family come over for lunch and had everything we needed, dishes, grill.. etc. Great sitting space for everyone outside and indoors. It was so nice to be able to host a get together for everyone, this place was such a blessing! Thank you Julie!

Crooked cabin is comfy too

The river cabin is very very clean, and has everything you need for a stay. Great communication with the nice owner! Very comfy bed and couch, seating around the dining room table for plenty as well. Yes, the floors tilt in many directions and the ceiling is low in the back part of the kitchen.. it is a river cabin built in 1901 after all, but very tall 6'+ may need to watch out, but wasn't a problem. Just have your sea legs on and enjoy the unique stay! The living room, swing, and picnic table views to the river are great! And the bed is level and very, very comfy. If we find ourselves back in this area I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Convenient location and view was nice. Place was clean overall, but cluttered, Traffic on road below noisy. Cabin was musty smelling. I realize the place was built some time ago, but really needs better maintenance - some window sash held shut / down with sticks of wood, some wouldn’t open at all to let air in (and air conditioner was so noisy I couldn’t sleep with it on), some crack out windows didn’t work at all, one blind in living room broke so we couldn’t open it, electricity would never pass an inspection (was running all over the walls to connect to outlets and lights), floors so uneven it felt like you were in a fun house with the floors moving up and down as you walked. Perhaps some people find some of this country charming, but it certainly wasn’t what I expected for the 4.7 out of 5 rating it had. The description did indicate the internet wasn’t totally reliable, however it never connected at all for the two nights we were there, and we had to change all the TV settings ourselves to get any regular (like NBC) type channels. Sorry, but this is the truth.

Welcome! I'm Julie and I live just up the driveway from the cabin. My Dad built the home I live in, and I grew up on this hill. As you can see from the cabin, I love flowers and enjoy that as one of my many past times.

Since I am a local, I feel that I am a good resource for some of the local happenings in the area. Feel free to contact me. I might know of special events and activities in the area that are happening during the time of your stay.

Being a property owner to the cabin has been an adventure. The cabin has its unique personality that isn't necessarily fitting to each person. However, those who have stayed have seemed to enjoy its charm. It is also nice to meet many of the guests who choose to stay.

I am happy to accommodate some requests. My hope is that you enjoy the views of the Mississippi River and can disconnect from the hustle of the modern day. Sometimes we just need that break!

The cabin has been standing since 1901...that alone is amazing to me. This property has more room inside than you would think. Despite some of the uneven floors and lower ceilings, the cabin is not on a rustic level, but it also isn't like a brand-new build with all the modern bells and whistles.

Overall, the view from this Cozy Cabin is amazing. From the Mississippi River to the birds and other wildlife in the area it can be seen from the living room. Romantic sunsets can be enjoyed often. Not everyone can have these views!
