Gull Cottage ist ein entzückendes 1920 Honeymoon Cottage liegt nur wenige Schritte von der Back River Strand. Perfekt für ein romantisches Paare Wochenende! Zu den Annehmlichkeiten gehören Holzböden, Perlenwände, vielseitige Möbel, darunter Antiquitäten, ein Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche, Waschmaschine / Trockner und vieles mehr! Dies ist eine der einzigartigsten Unterkünfte auf Tybee Island.

Beobachten Sie atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge, gehen Sie am Strand oder am Back River Angelpier angeln oder entspannen Sie einfach im Sand. Das Gull Cottage verfügt auch über eine private Terrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen sowie einen Gasgrill für das Kochen. Dieses süße kleine Gästehaus ist so komfortabel und charmant können Sie nicht verlassen wollen! Das Cottage ist 450 m² groß, also großartig für zwei Personen, viel größer als ein durchschnittliches Hotelzimmer und bietet mehr Privatsphäre und Annehmlichkeiten wie eine voll ausgestattete Küche sowie eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner.

Privater Parkplatz für einen in einem bewachten Hof, der von den Eigentümern des Haupthauses in Teilzeit geteilt wird. WLAN ist für die Gäste verfügbar. Es gibt eine Fenster-Klimaanlage / Heizung, die das Cottage für die Gäste angenehm hält. Diese Eigenschaft ist nicht tierfreundlich.

Spring break

We stayed at gull cottage for a short spring break trip to Tybee Island. The cottage is on the property of a large house adjacent to a public beach. The cottage is clean and as pictured on vrbo. The beach is right outside your door and the sunsets are indeed spectacular. The public beach and the residence are also right outside your door and that created some awkwardness and made privacy a challenge.

Great fall getaway to celebrate our 34th Anniversary. The cottage was delightful and having the private beach area was the cherry on the top. Easy to navigate the island and trips to Savannah were easy!

Great get away

I visited Tybee for the first time with my boyfriend for a quick get away. This place is perfect for two. It was clean and had everything we needed. Restaurant's were all within 10 minute walking distance so we didn’t have to drive at all during our time. The beach area is quiet and we really enjoyed fishing from the beach and caught a variety of fish. I will try to re book this house again for future stays at Tybee.!

Paradise on the Back River Beach

We went on a five day vacation to celebrate our birthdays (mine's in July and his is in August). We had an amazing stay at this little cottage built for two. It was the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the Back River Beach with it's on access just steps away.

Gull Cottage is a darling, historic cottage that sits feet from a beautiful, soft white sandy beach. It's located on a part of Tybee Island that is quiet and private yet nearby the downtown. It was truly a slice of heaven to be there for our 35th wedding anniversary. Tybee Vacation Rentals provided excellent communication for our visit. We'll be back!

perfect beach vacation

We enjoyed everything about this precious cottage and our location on Tybee. We were steps from the beach, which was sooo nice on the back river. It also had the best sunset view. On the practical side, there is a secure gate and a reserved parking space, and we could walk or bike to most places we wanted to go. Hope to stay on Tybee again soon and would definitely choose Gull Cottage.

10 Year Anniversary at TYB

We enjoyed our stay! The house was great and we loved that it was gated and safe. The staff at the Tybee Island Rentals was also fantastic. Two wonderful ladies (Monique and Kanetra (spelling might not be right) even helped to coordinate with my husband to deliver roses to the house prior to our arrival for an anniversary surprise. Loved the sweet guest touches including the delicious pralines! We definitely be back!

We have stayed at a decent amount of VRBO properties, mostly up and down the east coast, Cabo San Lucas, and 5 times on the Hawaiian Islands. Sometimes just the 2 of us, and up to 6. Most all properties have a very usable and a variety of kitchen items. The Gull Cottage property has absolutely everything you could possibly need while staying there. The bed was so comfortable you didn't want to get out of it. The fishing pier was not a problem at all. Town was close, and has everything one would need, plenty of restaurants to choose from, groceries, and plenty of surf shops to take home trinkets or gifts. We highly recommend this property, for 2 people it is the best. We definitely will check availability next time we want some time alone.

We were here off season and still had tons to do. Cottage was clean and no issues with the exception that we felt we really had no privacy. And for future renters this may look like it’s right on the beach but it’s set back with a parking lot in front and the I think owners house up front. A bit noisy, lots of cars coming and going. Really not private. We left two days early. But Tybee? Tybee is awesome!

Private Host vs. Property Management Host

We chose VRBO for its simplicity and reliability. However, after booking, the property manager bombarded us with texts and emails demanding we log into a third-party portal and sign a lengthy lease agreement, get wifi information, look at check in and out details. We made it clear we’d only communicate via the booking platform, but they ignored this. VRBO confirmed we didn’t need to sign, yet the property insisted, even suggesting we drive to their office to sign in person.They required an additional stop to pick up a gate opener, only for us to find the gate broken and unnecessary. The promised secure parking wasn’t provided, and the lot was adjacent to a public beach access.Despite notifying them about these issues, we never heard back. Their poor communication about guest needs contrasted with their pushiness over unnecessary documents.As experienced STR hosts with 5-star ratings, we value our space and our guest experience. This property felt transactional, lacking care or attention.Regarding the listing’s accuracy: the bed was relocated, creating a narrow 12-inch walkway. I immediately stubbed my toe on the bedframe. The space was arranged differently than the photos, with a different table and chairs, and the stove was functional but appeared unsafe. The rug (shown in the photos) was missing.The property was clean. Our first time staying with property management host, and most certainly our last. This was a two-day vacation on Christmas day.

Something Special

My husband and I just returned home from spending four days at Gull Cottage on Tybee Island. The cottage itself was very charming and comfortable. A beautiful kitchen has everything you could possibly want or need to prepare your own meals. Stepping out the front door to see your own little private seating area to watch the beautiful sunsets while everyone else is gathering on the fishing pier makes you feel very special. We enjoyed having a cheese plate and wine each evening in the comfy Adirondack chairs provided. Just steps down from that is a beautiful beach on the Back River which was far less crowded than the main beach. Although right outside the gate is the parking for the fishing pier there wasn’t too much noise and everyone was very respectful. I highly recommend if you’re looking for an intimate getaway you choose Gull Cottage.

orange crush weekend!! please be aware!! someone should have told us!!

please google this title and make sure to ask the property manger and avoid visiting this beautiful little island on this weekend!!! basically 100,000 or so gangster/thugs visit this wonderful spot every year. we checked in on Friday 4/20/18 and thank you to some local business owners that gave us the heads up, so we could be prepared to get some food and supplies to be on lock down all day Saturday, as most of the businesses shutdown. one guy told us that he had to unexpectedly leave the Island on Saturday a couple years ago and it took him 14 hours to get back, so if we were going to leave, go early and don't plan on coming back. most of the drag racing, lowed music and activities were on the north end of the Island, so we did make the best of the day Saturday but our romantic weekend did suffer due to this annual infestation. as too end on a high note, the cottage was quaint, the property was gated, the location was great and the some what private beach was nice!
