The short version is this - if you can stay at Claridge's, do it.
When you arrive at the gates that lead to the courtyard, you will suspect you’ve found a special piece of paradise. When you enter the villa, the craftsmanship evident throughout will confirm that suspicion. When you pass through the living room to the outdoor lounge, along the garden path, and arrive at the pool area, you will know - with certainty - that you are in paradise. After a stroll to the beach, you’ll wonder why you hesitated!
Claridges offers an exceptional experience. We had the privilege of a 7-week stay and that time allowed us to see the good and bad of the home and the location. There’s a lot of good; the villa offers all of the comforts of home. Minor issues were addressed immediately by the owners - and we only had minor things pop up. For example, an alarm sensor came loose and caused a beeping sound on the alarm panel. The owners had someone there within a couple of hours to fix it, and they did.
The location is perfect, sandwiched between Holetown and Speightstown. The stroll to Gibbes beach is barely long enough to be called a stroll! To have arguably the best beach on the island within 3-4 mins away, and the best towns on the platinum coast a few mins drive in either direction, makes this place hard to beat on the location front. It’s possible to stay here without a car, but having a car makes things easier. Parking is safe and secure.
The development offers plenty of space for relaxation in the sun or the pool. The developer’s original vision of each home having that privacy is achieved in part by a great design, but also by the great work of the grounds team. Every day they ensure the foliage is just so, and not an impediment to the enjoyment of guests. The grounds and pool are maintained to a very high standard.
As an island destination, Barbados is difficult to beat. As a place to stay anywhere, Claridges is very difficult to beat. You will not regret a stay at this villa.
