Great Stay!

This is the second season in a row we've stayed at this property. Great for a guys trip or family. Property is well appointed with everything you need including amazing views. The lift is across the street making it easy access to Six Shooter lift at Madison Base. Will definitely stay here again!

Great spot

Great spot. New, clean, convenient to lifts. Kitchen is fully stocked. Beds, linens all very nice. Hot tub was awesome after long days on the slopes. We had three adults and you could easily fit 6-8. We would definitely come back to this property and of course Big Sky.

Great property, but with a few inconveniences.

Good things about the house: Great common room and kitchen areas. Comfortable large sofa. Downstairs area very functional with bunk beds and common area. Kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, spices. Beautiful view of Lone Peak. Easy access to Madison and Base Camp. Ski-out lift right across the street. Ski-in access tricky but okay. Issues with the house: Items that can be fixed: 1. Rugs in front of both doors leading outside get caught under the door and cause a trip hazard. 2. Markings on the stove are gone, makes it difficult to properly adjust the surface burners. 3. Need pillow cases instead of pillow shams. 3. Note on instruction sheet about what to do with trash. 4 Better lighting for patio. Difficult to grill in the dark. Design flaws (item that can’t easily be fixed): 1. Bedrooms are small. No storage for guest’s clothes. Living out of suit cases that barely fit in the small closet was most inconvenient. 2. Window in shower stall. On cold days the stall never warms up. 3. The furnace thermostat mounted right above the firebox. When the firebox is used, the thermostat senses that the room is very warm and will not turn the furnace on until the great room cools down. This leaves the bedrooms (up and downstairs) getting very cold until this happens. 4. Bathrooms have no counter space. Master bath has a ledge that helps, but rather have a single sink with counter space than double sink.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I were introduced to Big Sky in late 2020. My son and I visited and stayed at 17 Lake Cabin in mid January 2021 and had a wonderful winter experience. During our stay, we were able to take advantage of all the great qualities that the house offers including but not limited to being a stone's throw walk to the access ski lift, a super clean, beautifully decorated home with all the "at-home" tools necessary to feel like you were at home, great kitchen, bedrooms including four bunk beds in basement, superb outdoor hot tub, modern indoor fireplace and of course the breath taking views. Boy ... they are truly awesome! On our way home in January, my son and I decided that we must bring the rest of our family back for a visit in the summer and that is what we did. During this stay, the new lake lodge was open! What a great addition to the overall experience it adds to the rental. It has an indoor basketball court, gym, dining facilities, outdoor pool and hot tub! We also were able to play golf at the Reserve at Moonlight Basin. 17 lake Cabin is the perfect place to experience Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. We will be back again real soon!

We needed more propane for the grill and management brought it out right away. Already thinking about our next stay! There is some construction going on nearby, but if you're early risers it isn't a problem.

We loved EVERYTHING about this rental!

This was our first time to Big Sky and absolutely adored everything about it. This rental was probably our favorite we have ever stayed in. It’s proximity to the slopes was incredible as was the snow shoeing. The views were breathtaking. We never left the house once we checked in. The kitchen was outfitted awesome with high end appliances for cooking all our meals. The furnishings were gorgeous, comfy and cozy. We will FOR SURE be back!

From the bedding and the pillows to the kitchen and supplies, this cabin has anything you would need and more for a wonderful family ski vacation. We can’t say enough about how special Moonlight Basin is and how soon we would like to return. Special perks like the boot warmer added to the convenience of being steps away from what felt like our own private lift. Even when we lost our car key in the fresh powder outside the maintenance guy managed to find them for us! What a treat and our whole family can’t wait to go back.

Having access to the Moonlight Lodge and the nordic center was really nice. Kids loved the snow tubing, snow shoes, and ice hockey....after a full day of skiing. We've stayed at many very nice Homeaway rentals, but this was the first that motivated me to finally write a review. I'm sure this place would be amazing in the summer as well.

Spectacular setting, spectacular property!

We arrived in Big Sky early evening. The drive to the Ulery Lake Cabin was breathtaking with the surrounding pines and big mountains. We walked into the cabin and were so excited to start our weekend there! The cabin itself is gorgeous, all the furnishings and decor are new, cozy, and comfortable. The views from every window (there are windows everywhere!) are incredible. We spent a lot of time on the deck taking in the scenery and fresh air. There is great hiking right outside the door. We spent some time at Ulery Lake, kayaking and paddle boarding and relaxing on the beach with hardly anyone else around! We aren't golfers but wanted to drive to the course. The views from the course are unparalleled and you can see why they call the area "Big Sky." Almost made us want to take up golf. Being skiers, we saw the potential for so many fun winter activities and hope to return this winter! There is a small grocery store at the Big Sky resort, and a much bigger store in the close by town of Big Sky. We would recommend stopping there to stock up, because once you get to the cabin, you won't want to leave! We definitely give this property a five star rating and would highly recommend it!
