The house was very clean and they did an excellent job of decorating. We had a slight issue and the owners were quick to come with a remedy. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Clean and comfortable

Perfect home for our family for a week's vacation. Beach is just a few blocks away and the home is not far from Virginia Beach, either. Ideal location. Washer and dryer made staying a week easier and the fact each room has a t.v. was great for our kids.

Perfect Getaway

We had such a lovely time staying at Tery's house. The house is beautiful and just short ride to the beach. Everything in the home was clean and well stocked. She even went the extra mile to leave us some goodies to enjoy. We hope to return next year!

The Buckroe Boys Strike Again

Our second trip to this rental for our fishing trip and while the fish weren't biting we had a great time staying at this home. Very clean, location is awesome and the communication was great.

I can't say enough about our wonderful trip to Hampton and Tery & Doug's home. The house was beautiful - FULLY LOADED - with everything you could need from toiletries, cleaning supplies, linens, towels, etc. It was just lovely. Like it!

House was perfect for us. We were travelling a family of 4. We were supposed to be 8 but half of us had to cancel due to COVID-19. It would have been no problem to fit everybody into the house. Location is very good, very close from Buckroe Beach which we really liked. Would rent again if going back to the area.

Lovely home

Our family of 6 Absolutely enjoyed staying here! The house is so warm and inviting! Everything is well stocked and clean! Every room is well decorated and the kitchen/dining area is perfect size for our family cooking adventures. Very nice patio outback with a gas and charcoal grill/smoker!! Tery is so sweet and communication is quick and easy! The area is great as stores are close and so is the beach!! My husband and kids enjoyed riding the bikes to the beach. The only thing we did not like is that I didn’t book a longer trip! We had a great time!!

Nice house close to quiet beaches

Spacious house and nicely decorated. Abundant towels which meant enough for everyone and not having to do laundry. Beaches were not crowded with free parking. Had to drive to beach, but not far. Less congested than more popular areas. A good value.

Beautiful house

We were pleasantly surprised at how large and open the house is. Everything you need to make you stay comfortable was supplied. There was a very large kitchen area with a table for breakfast and a dinning table for dinner. We all had plenty of room so we weren't under each other's feet. There were lots of fluffy towels. The bed were very comfortable. There was a TV in each bedroom streaming ready. It house is a few blocks from the beach, close to dinning, attractions. Phoebus is a cute little destination place. Wish I had more time spend there. The host were very quick to reply to my one question question.within minutes. This is place to stay if your going to be in Buckroe/ Hampton area.

Amazing Stay

Our stay at this property was amazing! The hosts really took the surroundings into account, having everything on the property from games and playing cards to bikes and beach equipment. They were very inviting and proactive about anything they felt we should know. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.

Quilting Retreat

The house is beautifully decorated. We had plenty of space for socializing, quilting/sewing, eating meals, and sleeping. The neighborhood was quiet. The location was great for confidence to the Coliseum. It could have been cleaner — especially with Covid concerns. Examples: crumbs under sofa cushions, dishes in cabinets with food stuck to it, hair in bathroom. The bedding smelled clean and the furniture surfaces were clean. I would consider renting this house again for a retreat with friends.

Great book club destination

We converged from New Jersey, Georgia and Kansas and Newport News at about the same time. More than enough room for the 5 of us. VERY clean, plenty of towels, first class bed linens and overall a great layout. We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the patio - which gave us even more room to enjoy. WiFi good and strong and more TVs than a sports bar. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg area. Top of my list for any return trip. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Cozy Home

The 4 of us who stayed were very happy with the property. The location was perfect for trying to get to Buckroe Beach and the Ocean View Pier for fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. There were adequate delivery options and a grocery store nearby. The backyard was a nice spot to hangout outside. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable

We really enjoyed this very comfortable, well appointed 4 bedroom home. Just a very short drive to the beach, or you could also use the bicycles provided. Really nice and convenient having beach chairs for the adults and toys for the kids to use, in addition to all the other amenities. Terry and Doug are wonderful hosts. They responded quickly to the couple questions we asked. If we ever needed a place to stay again in the Hampton area, we’d grab this place in a heart beat if it’s available.

House was fantastic. Local beaches were not what we expected and we ended up driving an hour to another beach. Everything about the house itself was amazing though!
