Great, Safe Location!

We loved the location and the setup of this home! It was a super amount of space for 4 people, and would be plenty for 6, though you might have to rearrange chairs so everyone can sit in the same room. We had a few snafus during our stay, though they were all addressed in some way. We did arrive to find a bat lying on the floor in the hallway, still very much alive. I texted the property manager, their preferred method of communication, and it took them around 20 minutes to reply. In the meantime, my husband took it outside with some tongs. There was also a huge leak under the kitchen sink that they/other renters have to have known about. They said they came out to fix it while we were away on Saturday, and we had the same problem Sunday morning, so no fix apparently. However, the property was very clean (except for the rugs, which could use a good vacuum between guests). Bathrooms were immaculate! As a 5’ 7” person, I could only see from my armpits up in the upstairs bathroom mirror and it made doing long hair really difficult. Shorter people would have a hard time seeing themselves. The bed/bed frame in the front bedroom is insanely squeaky, which wasn’t a huge deal but did occasionally wake me up when my partner moved, and vice versa. The chairs and couch in the front family room are super comfortable, and the kitchen is really well stocked! Checkout process is super simple and not overbearing, which is really nice. Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10!

We had bother in Barnes hospital, it was so easy {5 min} door to door without changing lanes, nice to have full kitchen, 3 bed, 3bathrooms, cool central air on 100 degree days, not fancy but great deal for the price of hotel.

Family getaway

Such a great location to explore St Louis! Very easy to jump on and off interstate. The house was just as advertised in a rejuvenating neighborhood. The Grove has lots of cute restaurants that made for great takeout meals in the evening after a day of sightseeing. Comfortable house with plenty of bathrooms and amenities. The kitchen could use baking sheet, but other than that, we had everything we needed.

Nice history, close to a cool neighborhood, could have been cleaner

We really liked this nicely updated historical home. It’s just outside The Grove, which is a fun neighborhood with a lot of character. It’s a 10 minute walk from light rail; super convenient since our family came in on Amtrak and we didn’t want to rent a vehicle. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in an hour early. We really appreciated their friendly and professional communication. The only con was that the place hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. One of the bathtubs was full of dingy bathwater when we checked in. It was obvious after I got down on the floor to stretch that the rugs hadn’t been vacuumed — my pants were covered in dust and debris when I stood up. When I requested an early check-in, there was no mention that the cleaning would not be completed. Also important for those with skin allergies, the place was also full of strong artificial fragrances, from the sheets and towels to the air fresheners. We liked the house and the neighborhood; if we were to return again, we would plan to clean a bit and wash sheets and towels upon arrival.

Great property, location, and value

This recently and nicely renovated property was exactly as advertised on VRBO. It is a nice Brownstone style residence. Location was great for dining on the hill and visiting the zoo, botanical garden, and art museum. It has three nice bathroom. Good towels. The only rason for the 4 star rating on the neighborhood is that there are some of these older properties needing some TLC while others are being renovated. Communication with the host and access via keypad was great. Off road parking in the back or on road in front. A keeper.

Great location, 10 minutes to everything

Check-in process was great, very easy. Location was perfect. We were 10 minutes from everything that we wanted to see and do while in St Louis. The place was a little more rundown than the pictures let on, but overall a great space. The bed in the master bedroom was sooooo comfortable. We had 2 issues but to no fault of owner. Upon our arrival the unit smelled VERY strongly of marijuana. The previous renters obviously enjoyed themselves but a more thorough airing out would’ve been appreciated as we were traveling with our kids. It took 2+ days for the smell to clear out. Also, there was construction across the street that started very early every morning.

Beautiful rental!

Beautiful rental! The townhome was exactly as advertised. My family, which included my husband, 2 adult children and myself were very comfortable. It was like our home away from home. The neighborhood is under renovation but we felt very safe. It’s located near the downtown area so eateries were accessible. The owner responded immediately to questions which we appreciated. Needless to say, we were impressed and will be renting again whenever we return to town.

Outstanding for family of graduating college student

This condo was perfect for us, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and plenty of warm and comfortable conversation space. The place was very clean and comfortable, and spacious. We will definitely stay here again when we visit St. Louis. Also, all communications and directions were fabulous. Lastly, there was plenty of parking and a quick drive to the university, not far from downtown.

Family fun

The location is great. Close to everything we wanted to do and see without staying directly downtown. The place was very roomy with large bedrooms, three bathrooms , and two living spaces, we had plenty of room to spread out and hang together. Having toiletries provided was a plus! A few additional items would be helpful: there is currently only 1wine glass, 1 oversized pot and a small skillet for food prep. More pots/skillets are needed. To consider the property fully cleaned, the cobwebs should be addressed. Overall we enjoyed the space!

So much space!

Lovely holiday stay for my family at this very spacious home! Even though Christmas 2022 was a Winter for the record, communication about the property and our changing travel plans was smooth and timely (they did not charge us for night we missed due to weather emergency); the home was cozy & warm (most homes in the City are 1900s, this was historic & charming, but completely renovated & everything worked great-even during the extreme temps); and there was plenty of hot water in all three full bathrooms (there were many properties available—but our adult family group of 4 had wanted bathtubs—and we got them!). Plenty of room for cooking, eating and board games. Great closet space & washer & dryer. Too cold to use the back porch or Main bedroom porch - but they were nice and big with windows to bring in light —and see beautiful sunrises and a large HAWK perched out the bedroom window! This home is near our daughter’s home (in a fun part of town should you want restaurants and a bar scene), so we will definitely rent when we visit again. You can’t beat this accommodations and price compared to area hotels. Note: stairs in the historic homes in STL (like our nearby daughter’s) are usually steep, this one is no different. I took them as part of vacation exercise, but be advised if you have someone who needs assistance and are not used to narrow stairs.

Great space and location

The house was very spacious and allowed my party of three to spread out. Each room was well furnished as well. The neighborhood had many food and bar options nearby that also made it easy. Parking on the street was easy as well!

Great House and Location

Great house overall. Really big and spacious. Easy to park and location was good for us and felt safe. Lovely coffee shop within 5 mins walk and a good choice of restaurants and bars. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Some houses on the street are run down but you can tell this is an up and coming area. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Great Rental

Our family of our 4 enjoyed a long weekend in St. Louis and this rental was perfect for us. We were within 10 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go and found some nice places to eat within walking distance of the home. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we could need for our stay. Questions were answered quickly and everything with the rental went smoothly. We would stay here again if we find ourselves back in St. Louis.

great space, easy location

Very spacious and quick communication by the owner/mgmt company. Overall pretty clean, but lacked some attention to detail ( found some clothing in one of the rooms, dishwasher was not run through) -- but bathrooms and surfaces were sparkling clean. Our group left at different times and 2 were straggling right around the 10 am checkout, but the manager & cleaners called and were very kind. Would def rent again- very fun area, too!
