Beach Basket -

Beach Basket is a stunning two-story vacation rental with six full bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms have King sized beds and full baths attached. The other two Guest Rooms both have a pair of twin bunk beds -perfect for the little ones and access to their own individual full bathrooms. The four king Suites sport a distinct upscale style and all have updated electronics! Two of these rooms are conveniently located on the first level of the home while the other two are on the second level along with the Bunk Rooms.

Enjoy balconies that span the entire width of both the front and back of the house with direct access from some of the bedrooms. The back balcony looks down over you private lagoon pool, the pool deck provides ample space for relaxing and lounging. There is a gas grill out back for those summertime cookouts! The athletes in the family will be delighted to be greeted by a private basketball court at the home! With all the amenities at the home you may forget why you came to Destin in the first place - the beautiful beach is just minutes away where you will enjoy luxuriating in the emerald green waters of the gulf.

The second level of the property has a large Family Room with a flat screen HDTV and and a brand new state of the art home theater system complete with a projector for the big ball game or movie night! The open main living area is on the first level has a blue couch and matching love seat facing a flat screen TV. Two decorative armchairs and a vibrant oil painting provide rich accents. Ten modern sculpted chairs provide wonderful seating beside a glass-topped dining table. The open modern kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances, which includes a refrigerator with convenient French Cupboard styling. Four bar stools create a chic striking contrast against ebony black-sided entertainment island with a rich granite countertop.

First Floor: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa and Patio Access, Kitchen, Dining, King Bedroom with Walk-In Shower, King Bedroom with Tub/Shower Combo, Powder Room, Laundry.

Overall nice size house, owners need to work on maintanence

Pros•Location of the house is nice and provides easy access to the beach•The house is spacious, offering ample room for a large group or family.•Bathrooms in each of the bedrooms•Basketball Court was perfect for sports enthusiasts.•The heated pool is a wonderful feature, allowing for swimming regardless of the weather.Cons:•Lack of Maintenance and Upkeep: The house shows signs of neglect, with several areas needing attention.oAC Issues: The air conditioning went out during our stay, making it uncomfortable, especially in warmer weather.oPool railing is broken which may be a safety issue for many.oDishwasher Problems: The dishwasher does not work well, making cleaning up after meals a hassle.oBroken Window: Upon arrival, we noticed an outside window was broken•Worn Furniture:oThe furniture in the family room is worn and needs to be replaced oThe outdoor furniture is falling apart. Several of the chairs are so worn they were unusable.•Lack of basic kitchen amenities: We understand it is not set-up for gourmet cooking, however, it is lacking basic items such as cookie sheet, spatula or potholders. •The general feel of the house suggests that the owners do not prioritize maintenance, leading to a less enjoyable experience.

Christmas Beach Stay

The Beach Basket property was really nice & roomy. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out & have their own space. The basketball court & movie theater room provided lots of entertainment for the kids. The pool was nice but the weather a bit too cool for us to swim much. There were a few things I felt that the property could have had on hand, such as pot holders for getting pans out of the oven, kitchen dish rags & batteries for the remotes. Although the Ocean Reef staff was great to bring us some batteries & trouble shoot the projector screen after we arrived. The location of the property was only a few blocks to the beach, which was really nice! Overall, a great Christmas vacation!

Nice property with plenty of bathrooms

Decided to stay here with family for our last summer vacation before school. We absolutely enjoyed this place. Beautiful property with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms which was a plus!! Also had a washer and dryer which was very convenient. Only thing that sucked was that 1 of the basketball goals was broken. Also, many of the tv remotes were missing backs and batteries. Pool was also dirty when we arrived but pool guy came by with no problem. Overall, place was awesome. Highly recommend.

Great stay. This is a winner.

House was situated perfectly. Just a short walk to the beach. Everyone in our group had their own space because, of the size of the house, each room had it's own bathroom. The deciding factor for us was the pool, the outside space was big enough for everyone to have enough room to play and swim. Loved the theater room to relax with a movie after long day at the beach or shopping. Will definitely book again when I am in the area.

Our Best Vacation Yet

The home was exactly as described. We had a short walk to the beach which was perfect! We had more than enough room for our group of 13! Ocean Reef was easy to work with, and super accommodating. One thing i will say, bring extra silverware with you! That is our single complaint. With that said, we are already discussing booking this property next year!

Big house and nice pool but needs some TLC

The house is big enough for a large group and the rooms were really clean and beautiful and each one has its own bathroom which is amazing. The pool was very clean and refreshing and the back yard was alot of room. Problems: *When we got to the house the floors on the bottom level looked clean but after we had all walked barefoot on them for an hour our feet were black. We ended up buying a wet swiffer the next day to clean it . *The BBQ grill when we got there was unusable, one of the handles was actually broken off and the burner was stuck in the on position. The sink in the upstairs bathroom was basically totally clogged. (The good thing is that I contacted the company that runs it that night and they sent someone the next morning who remedied those two things) *The carpet on the stairs is super ratty, the sound system upstairs was nice but was not hooked up right so only one of the speakers worked. *And then little things like there was a small hole in the wall going up the stairs from someone of something running into it and the toilet paper holders were barely hanging on in a couple of bathrooms. *There were barely any spoons for a big house like that so we ended up going to buy new ones and also bought a frying pan because they had about 3 but were so scratched up we were nervous about using them. All and all the house is in a great location and near the beach so we had an amazing time. The house just needs some TLC and it would be a 5/5.

Great property

This property was clean, cozy, and comfortable, it was very spacious for everyone to have their on area. Only downside is that they really need to switch out the jean couch for a new one, that couch has to go. Overall everyone in my family truly enjoyed their stay and we will definitely stay there again. Plus it was a close walk to the beach.

Great for a larger group!

We stayed at Beach Basket with multiple families for our Spring Break and had a great time. The positives - the backyard is at the top of the list - huge pool, patio, tons of space and a basketball court. Was so awesome to have and we lived out there when not at the beach. - lots of space inside with each room having a bathroom - lower floor (kitchen family room) was spacious too - decks on both side - upstairs movie room was fun for kids to have as their space too - location - 3-4 minute walk to the beach and close to shopping (Whole Foods, Publix, etc..) A few negatives: - Needs some updates (worn-out carpet, baseboards chipping, paint refresh) - you can tell it's a spot for larger groups and gets a lot of wear and tear. With a group of teens with us, it didn't bother us but if you are looking for super fancy or luxury, this isn't it. - Supplies like silverware - there wasn't enough forks, spoons and knives for what the house sleeps which seems odd. Also could use a few basics - broom, more kitchen towels. We had to go buy those. We knew we had to supply things like soap, etc.. but silverware and other household items should be there. It's a great spot for a larger group looking to be close to the beach and have fun all together. We'd rent it again!

Annual Family Vacation

We had additional requests to join us and had to find something for everyone. This house did not disappoint. Interior provided great space, plus the movie room was great. my favorite area was the pool, nice seating and good size pool.

Over great place. Clean and open. Good response from owner. Minor inconveniences include only 2 teaspoons for our party of 17 and only 3 coffee mugs and no cookie sheets. We would stay there again.

Spring Break Trip

Beautiful clean home that exceeded my expectations! The property managers communicated very well during the planning process. We were able to check in early because the property was ready ahead of schedule. If we ever come back to Destin, we would definitely stay here again.

House wasn’t very clean but area is amazing

Pro’s/Con’s- Con’s- ————— -Dirty bathroom sink areas, there was old toothpaste residue on the counters. -pool was dirty upon arrival -outside is NOT maintained -there was a used bandaid and an empty beer can left next to the pool upon arrival. (Extremely grossed out by the used bandaid.) -Outdoor furniture is rusted and broken -roaches of all sizes including baby ones in multiple areas of the house -couches looked dirty/dingey -maintenance guys randomly showed up with no notice. Just strolled into the backyard as we were back there. Cigarette hanging out of their mouth..super professional. They also took the leaf blower and blew everything into the pool -balcony banister had bars missing -balcony deck had no furniture on it -photos on website are not updated. -beds were all broken underneath -bunk beds were broken -Our feet and socks were black after walking on the floors the first day. So cleaning is subpar to say the least. -Washer has mold and has not been cleaned. Smells moldy. Pro’s- -neighborhood was safe and enjoyable. -Had plenty of room. Loved that every room had its own bathroom. -House smelled good upon arrival. -Short walk to the beach -Contactless & keyless entry All in all- we will definitely come back to visit Destin. It’s an amazing area, perfect for families..beaches are amazing. I don’t think I’ll stay in this house again and I wouldn’t recommend this house to anyone I knew personally. I’ve stayed in houses like this before on vacation and this was by far the dirtiest, and the outside was really disappointing by how under maintained it was. For the amount you pay- you expect better inside and outside. But this was not the case with this house.

Great family rental

Every year we go to Destin for our family vacation and this year we choose beach basket rental, such a beautiful home with lots of space and the home theater a plus also a great location shopping centers,restaurants, stores all close by also the beach! We highly recommend this home if u have a big family! We will definitely be back 2022

The house was very clean. The outside area has not been recently cleaned along the gangway between homes. The beds were very comfortable with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. I would stay here again!
