Anchor Inn by the Sea ist nur vier Meilen von der Innenstadt Ketchikan in einer der besten Küstenlinie Angeln gelegen und Walbeobachtung Bereiche, Ketchikan zu bieten hat. Das Inn verfügt über drei private Suiten (1 & 2 Schlafzimmer). Alle Suiten verfügen über private Eingänge, private Decks und einen wunderschönen Meerblick. Obwohl die Suiten alle privat sind, wird der Hof geteilt. Der grasige Hof ist bei unseren Gästen sehr beliebt. Es ist ein wunderschön angelegter Garten mit üppigem grünem Gras und Blick auf das Meer.

Die Suiten sind so nah wie kann man auf das Meer zu bekommen. Bringen Sie Ihre Kamera, weil Otter, Robben, Schweinswale und werden häufig gesehen. Eagles Nest in der Nähe und sind oft gesehen thront auf einem Pfosten in der Nähe der Wasser oder zieht einen Lachs aus dem Meer. Buckelwale und Orcas sind die aufregendste für unsere Gäste zu sehen. Wir können garantieren, dass Sie irgendeine Art von Wildtieren jeden Tag Ihres Aufenthaltes zu sehen.

Amazing place, must stay!

I spent 6 days and 5 nights in the Admiral Suite and I could not have been happier! Beautiful scenery, amazingly decorated and spacious rooms, private bathrooms, big walk-in showers, immaculate kitchen with any pots/pans your cooking heart needs, I cannot express enough how happy I was staying here and I highly recommend everyone else to stay here as well, the whole world needs to experience this amazing Alaskan adventure!!

Beautiful Alaska

My favorite part of the day was having coffee on the outdoor deck that overlooks the beachfront. You can’t get a more perfect location to see eagles flying overhead, salmon and sea life swimming by. Mountain Point is nearby; the local hot spot for salmon fishing. Herring Cove is a short drive away where bears are seen chasing salmon in the river while eagles sit in the trees waiting their turn to fish. The unit is spotless nicely decorated with Alaska artist Rie Munoz paintings. A perfect slice of Alaska I was sad to leave.

A beautiful, quiet place away from the bustle of downtown!

We stayed 3 weeks in the beautiful Orca Suite which includes a full kitchen. The everyday view while preparing our meals and cleaning up was just spectacular! We enjoyed the deck very much, especially when watching all of the activity out on the water, or the orcas swim by, or the eagles come to rest on the perch. We also enjoyed relaxing in the chairs on the lawn. We saw a sea otter come up to the beach and we saw a mink run across the yard. He was soooo cute! Mary and Greg are amazing! They answered every question we had and provided lots of information for activities in the area. If we ever find ourselves back in Ketchikan, this is the place where we want to be!

Magical Moments

My husband and I stayed at Anchor Inn by the Sea for an eleven day staycation. We are more the naturalist types so we did not fish, instead we hiked, enjoyed the town and it’s hidden gems and spent many hours in our suite (Orca) just watching the sea. We saw eagles daily and a couple of incredible moments when they caught fish, too big for them to fly with so they swam to shore where they had their meal, just feet away from our covered deck. It made for some incredible photos (this spot is a photographer's haven)! That wasn’t all, though, we also had orcas AND humpbacks swim by several times… it was phenomenal! The suite has a window that allows occupants to be constantly on the lookout for these magical moments. It was very comfortable for the two of us, and Mary and Greg took excellent care of us, bringing us extras when needed. They are incredible people and have done some amazing things in their lives! Their story is part of the welcome book in your suite and I was just blown away by their adventures! Everything was very clean and we had everything that we needed. We highly recommend Anchor Inn By the Sea for your stay. We can’t imagine a better spot to observe the abundance of natural wonders that are Ketchikan!

'Paradise' spot in Alaska!

Alaska at it's best!!!!

My wife, daughter and I have stayed at Anchor Inn multiple times. I must say this is the nicest "condo" on the water. We've seen Whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and a host of other animals right from our balcony. Worth every penny and more. Truly one of the most relaxing vacations I take during the year. Thank you Greg and Mary.

Stay here, you won't be sorry!

The views from the rooms at the Anchor Inn by the Sea are amazing! Mary and Greg are amazing hosts. We stayed in the Aleksandra Suite, it was so nice. Very comfortable, tasteful decor. No oven, but a cooktop, microwave and grill on the porch. It was so nice to just sit and look at the beauty. The view from the room is fantastic. It is just a short 10 minute or less drive from town. I can't recommend it highly enough... We will stay there again and again!

Vacation in Paradise

A wonderful home away from home. Anchor Inn is like a 5 star retreat with all the comforts of home. Fabulous beauty on the water where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks on the porch and watch the cruise ships, fishing boats, jumping fish, eagles, sea otters and more. We even had a baby deer come in the yard. Mary is the perfect hostess and even took our Christmas card pictures. We were very happy with the apartments and highly recommend Anchor Inn to others. Everything was first class! Extremely nice place to stay. We will be back!

WE LOVE ANCHOR INN BY THE SEA

We have been visiting Ketchikan once or twice a year for nine years. Anchor Inn by the Sea is our favorite place to stay. The views are spectacular, the grounds are beautiful, the accommodations comfortable and well stocked, pride of ownership is evident in each well appointed apartment, and the owners, Mary and Greg give us just the right amount of attention to make each stay enjoyable and memorable. Views from the kitchen table and the porch include fishing boats of all sizes and types, passenger ferries, cruise ships, cargo barges, local skiffs, and kayakers. Float planes fly to and from fishing camps and other destinations. Marine life includes humpback whales, orcas, porpoises and salmon. We have seen eagles fishing and watched ravens, mink and other wildlife. Sunsets are stunning.

The best place to stay in Ketchikan

Anchor Inn is THE most incredible place to stay in Ketchikan. We have vacationed in Ketchikan 5 times in the past 6 years and have stayed at the Anchor Inn each time. The owners of the Anchor Inn are amazing people. They were always available to answer questions or to make arrangements for activities we wanted to try or do. The pictures show the pride they take in their property. The apartments are very clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spacious. They were also equiped with everything we needed to cook some of our meals. The laundry facilities were just a few steps down the hallway and so convienent that we took fewer bags and washed and dryed our clothes. The view faces the ocean and we never failed to see whales and other ocean life from our window. It was incredible! We caught fish from the rocks in front of the apartments and the sunsets from the deck are the most beautiful I have seen anywhere. Just a few miles from the Anchor Inn is Herring Cove where we went to watch the black bears and eagles catch and eat fish from a hatchery. We have many hours of video of bears, eagles and salmon from our visits to Herring Cove. We have fished and snagged king salmon at Herring Cove too. Ketchikan is truly an amazing place to visit. The photos included are beautiful and are a true reflection of an awesome place to stay while vacationing. We already have reservations at the Anchor Inn for another vacation this year, and we just can't wait!!! I would recommend staying at The Anchor Inn over any other place in Ketchikan!

Fantastic Experience!

We had such a great time visiting Ketchikan. Our stay at The Anchor Inn was wonderful. It was really good fortune to have found this place. The views are breath taking and you can see ships passing in the distance (really amazing at night). The innkeepers are very helpful with things to do and see locally and can even arrange fishing charters. Our stay at the Inn was very peaceful and one of my best memories of the trip.
