Amazing

My husband and I stayed for a week for our anniversary. We had an amazing time. It was exactly as described in the listing.We could not have been happier with our stay. Property was very clean, warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Randall was great at checking in, and always available if needed. There was so much to do there. We felled so welcomed. We will definitely be back.

Perfect House and Location

We loved every minute of our visit to the Ranch Guest House! The house is charming, well furnished and comfortable! The location was perfect for hiking, fishing and exploring the towns of Ridgeway, Ouray and Telluride. The owner Randal was so helpful and friendly and made our stay one that we will remember forever!

Wonderful, relaxing, quiet and beautiful!

We loved everything about this place. The beautiful setting, seeing the stars we can’t see in the city, the nicely decorated cabin which is very well maintained and comfortable. The views around the cabin were gorgeous - mountains in the distance and open fields. There was plenty of space for us - a real treat. The location was perfect for going to Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, and of course into Ridgway. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable - I appreciated having two pillow choices, one thicker, one thinner. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for cooking, coffee, etc. Comfortable seating around the table, which is where we spent most of our time. The host, Randal, was very thoughtful and helpful for anything we needed and had great advice and ideas for places to go see - really appreciated his ideas! We will definitely plan to stay here again someday.

Handsome guest house, stunning scenery!

This guest house, surrounded by some of Colorado’s best scenery, was itself beautiful, spacious, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The host, Randal, has superbly thought out the needs of guests, and is quickly responsive to any questions. And if you would like suggestions on what to see or do in this gorgeous area, he has impeccable recommendations that will generate fond memories.

Awesome basecamp in Ridgway

If you're looking for a quiet place to explore the San Juans, this is an incredible option. Perfectly appointed cabin on a ranch with tons of space. About a 10-minute drive down to Ridgway. The host, Randal, is super welcoming and available to answer any questions. Really a great place to stay in SW Colorado.

Wow! What a Great Week!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. My wife and I had such a wonderful stay. First off, the property was just as advertised and was immaculately clean and ready for us upon arrival. The owner/property manager had coordinated everything with us in advance, so everything went very smoothly. The cabin is well-located just a short (~10 minute drive) outside of Ridgway. Deer roam the property and can be seen right off the back deck and through the windows, which is a special treat for nature lovers. There is great birding opportunities on the property as well. Just a short walk from the property are some great, well-maintained hiking trails, including a trail that runs along the top of the escarpment on the southern end of Log Hill Mesa and overlooks the town of Ridgway and the valley all the way south to Quray - a spectacular view. The towering San Juan mountain range dominates the view off the back deck of the cabin. This is really a special place. My wife and I used the cabin as a base of operations and planned daily trips from there to Telluride (about an hour away), Quray about (30 minutes away), and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Nat’l Park (about 45 minutes away). We also had a great day on a guided fly fishing excursion using RIGS (a fly fishing guide service in Ridgway). The cabin is a great location to sample the best of the area in every direction. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and quiet. It is also well-equipped; kitchen and all!

Amazing Summer Retreat

Wonderful property that takes you back in time but with modern amenities and great cell/internet service. Majestic views of multiple 14ers off the deck. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and peaceful place with cool clean air, this is the place for you. Randal is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. Exceptional Stay - Can't Wait to Return!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this house for my vacation, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. What a wonderful place. The cabin was charming. The view of the San Juan mountains and the sunsets were spectacular. It was such a restful place and so quiet. Gorgeous Property and Wonderful Host

We highly recommend this beautiful property. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will likely be back. The house is a great Colorado mountain retreat and the location could not be better. The views from the property are simply stunning; Ouray, Telluride and Silverton are a short ride away so the scenery is just gorgeous. The host, Randal, was there to greet us and show us how everything worked, he was always available for questions. We cannot thank him enough for his hospitality. We have been to the area many times, but this was definitely our best stay.

Beautiful Ridgway Cabin

My mom and I made a somewhat impromptu trip to Ridgway to visit some sights in the area. It was a short trip but I was lucky enough to land on this gem of a property. Randal is a wonderful host and made sure everything was just right in our place and that we had plenty of information regarding local restaurants, places to visit, and even made sure we knew we could roam the expansive property as much as we wanted. We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have wished for a better place to land after a long drive from Denver and exploring the area during our stay. I highly recommend!

Nestled in the Log Hill community, lies the picturesque R-Bar-D Ranch, with breathtaking views of Mt. Sneffels and the San Juan Mountain range. Located about 10 minutes outside of Ridgway, the house is beautiful and has everything you need. Great location for day trips to Telluride, Ouray/Silverton and the Black Canyon. Perfect for us!

Experienced travelers read property reviews to match a property to their needs. We have successfully used VRBOs all over the world valuing reviews we all write. In over 10 yrs we have never stayed where all our needs have been met. Here where we had an almost 2 week stay we found : comfort, a safe and quiet environment, cleanliness, high end amenities, interesting artwork, well equipped kitchen, lovely mountain views, hiking and shopping within minutes’ drive, and a caring, available, non-intrusive owner. Would we return, yes, on a moments notice. Don’t pass on this property. Side note: Your family dog will give a huge tail wag!

Perfect Accommodations

We had the best week at this property. The check in process was smooth and our host had the property ready and welcoming upon our arrival. The guest house and property were even better in person. The house was well stocked, comfortable, and very clean. We loved all the recommendations from restaurants, to hikes, as well as things to do during our stay. Our family loved the location of the property with the gorgeous views but it was also a great central location to take day trips to various cities. Randal, the host, truly went above and beyond to make it a wonderful week for us. We were all sad to leave and can't wait to make a trip back. This has been our very favorite VRBO experience in all the places we have visited.

Everything you want & more

What a wonderful guest house and gracious hosts! We were enamored with every corner of the house and took full advantage of the surroundings to stretch our legs with a nice walk several times a day. With so much to do in Ridgway and nearby towns, you just pick a direction and begin exploring. A few miles to golf (next time), a few more to museum, dining and art options, a few more to ski/hike - and yes, you can shop everywhere along the way. Where else can you do all this in a day with the backdrop of some of the most photographed mountains and ranges in America? The guest house was built with this in mind, grand windows showcase the views, patio and porch seating encourage you to relax and access in/out is very easy. Could not ask for nicer, more accommodating and responsive hosts to make the stay that much more fun and interesting.

Incredible place

Over too quick! Every time we stay here those are the words from the kids as we drive away. This was our 3rd time staying and each time has been better than the last. As our kids have grown so have our adventures to the beautiful places that surround the area. We spent the days up at Telluride, which is about a 50 minute drive, where our kids took snowboard lessons and our son, who is visually impaired took part in the Adaptive Ski school, which exceeded our expectations. Randal goes above and beyond to do whatever is needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. He was the one that guided us in the direction of the Adaptive program, his knowledge of the area and its offerings are very helpful. Only reason we wouldn’t return is if we could live there. Great spot to decompress

We had a terrific time in Ouray County staying at this great getaway. Randy is a lovely host, happy to help with anything. We had all the amenities we needed including deer at our back door. Can’t wait to return.
