Dieses in Deep Creek einzigartige Haus liegt direkt am Youghiogheny River im geschützten Wild and Scenic Corridor. Privat und doch innerhalb von fünf Minuten mit dem Auto zu Wisp Skifahren, Aktivitäten am See und Fork Runs Wandern, Mountainbiken und Klettern. Willst du zu Hause bleiben? Nehmen Sie einfach Ihre Fliegenrute mit, gehen Sie Ihren privaten Zugang hinunter und in Sekundenschnelle sind Sie knietief an einem der besten Angelplätze in Maryland. Wandern Sie auf den Flüssen und beobachten Sie Fischadler, Weißkopfseeadler, Heringe und mehr. Great Location with River View

We had a wonderful stay at Cross the River! The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by nature, with stunning river views right from the deck. The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the private outdoor hot tub, which made for the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with beautiful scenery!

Cross the Creek

Our stay started off with the 6 digit code for the door didn't work. Cell phone calls dropped so tried the wifi for the property but the name was wrong along with the pass code. 3 tvs but only 2 remotes had batteries so we had to swap out TV batteries when we changed rooms, fan chains would not shut off the fans. The one bed was completely uncomfortable and creaked every time we shifted postion. Fan blades were covered in dust from the ac. Surrounding properties had no tresspassing signs on both sides of our property along with those signs posted on the walking trail next to the river. Several pictures were different the actual property. Trash was overflowing in the vestibule as well as lots of flies attracted to the trash. Recieved late notice the morning of departure that we need to bring trash bags, toilet paper, towels, hand soap for hand washing and dish washing soap. I spent a significant amount of money to rent this property. These items should already been included as stock.

Respite by the river

Cross the River is a lovely cottage that is located in a quiet area right by the river yet 10 minutes away from shops and restaurants. The house is also very close to some great hiking trails and WISP. The house itself was updated for every comfort. The deck overlooked the river and had a grill, so we enjoyed having our meals out there. It is the perfect place for adults or a small group to relax and enjoy this area.

Lovely ski weekend

We stayed at this lovely, well located riverside cabin while skiing Wisp. It is right on the river, so that the deck, hot tub and firepit all have great views of the water. Renovated kitchen is well equipped and fairly large. Beds and living room lounge couch SO comfortable. Property manager very responsive. We plan on returning!

Quiet, older, clean home. Great stay, but cost too much

The location was great! The cleanliness was wonderful! We just wanted to get away for a few days from life. Water was too high on the River for my hubby to fish, so we used the hot tub instead during the day. Not sure if it was fully cleaned prior to us though. The water was a bit fuzzy. But inside the house was spotless. Over all, the price for this older house during an off season was way too high after all the excessive fees added (more in resort fees, hot tub cleaning ?, ect than the house). We felt the overall cost was too high for having all things that come with older houses, loud old floors, doorknobs hanging by a thread, ect. We never received our PIN number for the entrance, so make sure you do that before you arrive. We were on hold with the resort company for 20 mins just to talk to someone and an automated answering system that I did the run around about 3-4 times prior to being on hold and getting through. I didn’t hear from the owner, just the company running it. We did get a random text in the evening reminding us of the quiet hours for outside (as we were inside in pjs watching a movie lol). We thought that was odd as we both were just chilling for the couple days. No one responded when we asked if there was a problem. We are older, nonstop, working couple who just wanted a quite place to be. Odd but no big deal. It was very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our late check out- it was an additional $50 for the 4 hours. Overall, it was a fantastic quite stay and inside was very clean but will be going back to other cabins that are more up to date for that price. (Mid Nov : Sun- Tues stay)

Taylor made management - Take caution before you book

While this house has a great location, we encountered a number of frustrating maintenance issues that really put a damper on our stay. First, the hot tub was malfunctioning for all but one day of our stay. It was clear to us that this was never checked before we arrived and it’s frustrating since that was the main reason we booked this cabin. We also encountered a dead mouse and a number of small but annoying maintenance problems like broken faucet and door handles. The manager never responded to my calls, despite two assurances from staff that he/she would. My advice - caveat emptor with any Taylor made property.

Great location, missing some items.

Missing pillow cases on all pillows. Blankets worn with burn marks. No dish towels or pot holders. Sliding glass door handle fell off that we fixed. Shower drains slowly. Location is excellent. Place was clean. Had a great time and loved the location. Great for fishing.

Nature retreat

I really loved the backyard, deck and hot tub overlooking the Youghiogheny River. It was so beautiful. I saw my first river otter in the wild while hanging out on the smooth rocks next to the river. We really enjoyed our meals on the deck. The proximity to several state parks -- Swallow Falls & Deep Creek Lake -- provided some low-key hiking.

Very nice home

Overall, the house was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The couch is VERY uncomfortable and the leather is pealing. The beds are not comfortable and super squeaky. The house was overall pretty clean though and the scenery is beautiful. Thank you for allowing us into your home for a relaxing weekend away!

Wonderful riverside retreat

This house is at a wonderful location downstream from the dam release. There were no neighbors at the time we stayed so it felt like the river was ours alone. We loved to listen to it from the back deck hot tub. The river is not easily accessible from the high rocks on the other side of the service road, so we didn't even attempt, although there are signs about the trout and a fishing B&B not even 1/4 mile away. Nicely renovated house on the inside, mostly reliable internet. Only issues were with some small housekeeping details reported to the management company of a broken coffee pot and bedspreads and shams that could have used a laundering from dust. Even with that we would definitely visit again.

Lovely home on the river

The house was just as described. Reading through the reviews beforehand helped with finding the house as well as what to bring along. Make sure to take any pantry items. Coffee, spices etc. The grocery store is not far off and there’s plenty to get to up the road if you like. We enjoyed the serenity and were happy that no neighbors were there at the same time. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful getaway

Had an amazing long weekend with my wife. The cottage is historic and charming yet updated and renovated throughout. It was very comfortable and perfect for a couple or family. The private hot tub overlooks a scenic river just in the backyard. Convenient location within 10 minutes of Wisp, restaurants, several hikes, and grocery store. It was a peaceful escape in the woods, just what we were looking for.

Looks Lovely!! I Never Stayed Here BUT Was Charged For It

After simply INQUIRING about this vacation home and ultimately deciding it was too small for my group, I received confirmation of the booking. I emailed the owner several times (well in advance) to reiterate I did not wish to stay here and had chosen a larger rental but received an automated response each time. We had a lovely time in the larger rental (which I believe may be owned by the same individual.) Long story short, I have proof that I communicated with the owner 3 times, telling him/her I did not want this place but they had my credit card info and that was THAT. It was charged and nobody will reimburse me. appears to be a scam, Jodi Refosco and VRBO. Double dipping much? AND I'm NOT going away.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Cross the River. I would like to clarify a few things for future renters. We brought a canoe and kayak planning to use them on the river if the water was high enough. There was not any way we could access the river with a canoe or boat. It is a steep drop down over boulders. It was a good fishing spot if you are a very able bodied individual, able to navigate steep boulders. I was not, but my husband was. The house is in a secluded neighborhood. It is on a street with several more houses, the houses on each side quite close. There is a road below the house, between the house and the river. This must be the path other reviewers mentioned as a walking path. It lead to the hydro plant. No trespassing signs are everywhere, so we did not feel comfortable walking it. The house itself was a wonderful surprise. I loved the decor, better than the pictures, and it was extremely clean,and a great well equipped kitchen. The deck very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub which took about 24 hours to get warm enough to use. If you are looking for a house with a view to relax in, away from crowds, I would recomend this house.

Sitting on the porch with the babbling river behind us was so peaceful and relaxing! Kitchen is more than well stocked. Close enough to everything but off the beaten path enough to be very peaceful. The "private driveway" signs are a little confusing but once you find the house you will be very pleased. Excellent vacation house!! We have been going to the Creek for 30 years and have never stayed in the same house twice. This house might be the exception!!
