Das Dragonfly befindet sich in Elk Rapids am Bass Lake und ist ein charmantes, gemütliches Cottage mit Gästehaus, in dem bis zu 6 Gäste Platz finden. Dies ist ein Sa-Sa wöchentlich im Sommer. Einige kurze Aufenthalte können verfügbar sein. Kurzaufenthalte müssen durch unser Büro bestätigt werden. Das Hotel liegt direkt in der malerischen Stadt Elk Rapids auf der Ostseite. Ein süßer Ort, der bestimmt gefallen wird. East Grand Traverse Bay ist nur wenige Minuten von hier entfernt. Die Shorts Brewery ist auch gleich um die Ecke.

Das Wohnzimmer ist aus der Küche und verfügt über einen Smart-TV mit Direct-TV. An der Seeseite der Küche befindet sich eine geschlossene Veranda, die sich perfekt für einen Morgenkaffee eignet. Das Haupthaus verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer und 1 Bad. Beide Schlafzimmer haben ein französisches Bett. Die Pension verfügt auch über ein Queensize-Bett und ein Badezimmer. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind inklusive. Treten Sie aus der Veranda auf eine geräumige Terrasse, auf der Sie wunderbar entspannen und grillen können. Das Gästehaus liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Haupthaus entfernt. Es gibt auch einen separaten Waschraum im hinteren Teil des Haupthauses. 1 wohlerzogenes Haustier ist willkommen.

Im Freien befindet sich eine große Rasenfläche, die zu Ihrem eigenen privaten Platz am See führt. Sie können auf dem Deck sitzen und den Kindern beim Spielen im See zusehen. In der Nähe des Wassers befindet sich eine Feuerstelle. Viele Gartenmöbel und ein Grill runden den Komfort für Spaß im Freien ab. Das Lebensmittelgeschäft und ein paar Restaurants sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Die friedliche Nachbarschaft ist der perfekte Ort, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen. Elk Rapids ist ca. 20 Minuten von Traverse City entfernt. Kewadin ist 10 Minuten.

Cozy and relaxing

This property had everything we needed for our family trip. We really enjoyed the lake and the large yard. The house was very cozy and comfortable. We had everything at the house to make great memories on a family vacation.

Fishing trip

The property was very nice. We went for fishing so we were hoping for a bigger variety of fish. Several other lakes are close by for fishing. overall, highly recommend.

Nice lakeside get away

We enjoyed a few days at the dragonfly. We were able to go hiking in Leelenau, shopping in Traverse City, catch a sunset across the way in Elk Rapids and have our dogs with us at the house. I recommend the Happy Camper coffee shop downtown-great coffee, best hot chocolate and amazing views.

Great service, cozy environment

We were very impressed with the responsiveness of the management staff. A hiccup with the wifi password and a question about the heater were resolved quickly and thoughtfully. The location - right on the lake - was great (esp because our dog loves to swim) but also for just looking at. Great location.

Little things

It is a small very sweet little place. Right on the water. Was throughly enjoyable for the 2 of us and our Lab. (Who enjoyed the water and ducks). My only thing is….please maybe leave instructions for the TV. And, put more lamps in. Brighter light bulb in kitchen. Maybe even night lights around? Got a tad dark at night and trying to find the bathroom was a tad hazardous.

Perfect up north getaway

This cabin was the perfect long weekend getaway! The house had enough place for 4 people and a picturesque backyard and view of the lake. The grill and fire pit was a fantastic amenity to be able to roast s’mores and burgers all weekend. The location was walkable to all the local places and a quick drive to traverse city. The house was clean, easy to check in, had enough basic amenities, the beds were comfy, the Wi-Fi was fast. I’d love to come back to this property.

Bass Lake In Elk Rapids.

Lovely stay - very nice and quiet, exactly what I was looking for attending a work conference in Traverse City - gave me a space to get away and enjoy in peace...even had some colleagues over for an evening around the campfire and we all agreed it was much better than booking hotel rooms and spending $$$ on high-end dinners - this was a better experience for me. Everything about the process was smooth. I had read comments about musty-ness in the property and was a little concerned. While there is a slight bit I detected when I walked in, it's nothing to be concerned about whatsoever. Walked in and literally said "it's a cottage - this is exactly what I was anticipating". Enjoyed the stay very much. Thank you.

Great House and Location

Our stay was great and the house was wonderful. However, the lack of information in regards to there being no A/C at this house was unfortunate; such information should be up front. But the weather was perfect so it fortunately was not needed for the stay. Wifi was difficult so we did not hook to it as there was 10 different things with different information. All in all we enjoyed the stay and would go back, but better instructions would definitely help.

Dragonfly review

This rental could use some real cleaning. There were some parts of this rental that seemed to never have been cleaned, under the beds, around the bathroom vanity floor, dirty mattress pad, mold around the shower control in the main cottage to mention a few. A strong musty odor, also. The location was great. Nice lake view with kayaks and life jackets provided. A market was a block away and a restaurant within walking distance. Stayed Aug. 1-5, 2020.

Great little place for a getaway

We made use of the dining table on the patio and had many fires in the fire pit. The kayaks on the property were fun as well. The location was perfect...close to the market, a very good restaurant and a quick walk to ice cream. It was a very relaxing stay. The floors could have been a little cleaner and the sheets may need an upgrade, but nothing that would keep us from staying again.

Disappointed

The place was conveniently located. The major problem was upon entering the place it wreaked of mildew/mold. Apparently the owner knows of this issue as there were dehumidifying items all around, they are not working. We really could not enjoy our stay due to the stench. I realize it was less expensive than others but it is a health hazard & should not be allowed as a rental until repaired.

Not worth it

I don’t feel that the property was cleaned well. There was mold in the shower and the closet reeked of mold and must there was sand on the couches. For the price of the cleaning service I was charged, it should be way better. Also, the rental permit displayed expired two years ago. No instructions to turn on air and the fans are coated in dust.

Cute spot

Cute house close to downtown Elk Rapids. House was clean, updated, and had lots of extra amenities. Beds were very comfortable. The yard was spacious but the lake access area was full of dead weeds and trash which was disappointing. Also didn’t like the house being so close to the street and neighbor, which isn’t shown in the photos. Major issue with checking in as the cleaning service was behind. Check in was 4pm and we didn’t have access to the house until close to 6pm - not ideal with a dog and a baby in the car. Rental agency didn’t seem very concerned or apologetic and didn’t try too hard to make things right. Overall nice house in a nice location.

Good for a few nights

Right on the smaller lake and within walking distance to bars/restaurants and the big lake. There are two bedrooms with 1 bathroom. A VERY SMALL galley kitchen. The house probably wouldn't be good for a long stay with many people. There were a few things that were in need of repair that I noticed while I was there. A few housekeeping things as well, but overall, it was a decent experience. If you don't like renting from a property management company, don't rent this unit - it looks like it is rented by an individual on the VRBO site, but then you'll get an email from a separate property management company to pay/contact to rent the unit. Just an FYI.

A Lesson Learned

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overpriced for the accommodations. Tiny cottage and even smaller guest cottage. Sparsely furnished with uncomfortable beds. Not enough dishes for amount of people it is supposed to accommodate. We had to purchase coffee mugs so all could have a morning cup of coffee. The washer and dryer are ridiculous—you can use one or the other but couldn’t use simultaneously. Not enough indoor seating to eat and we had the need. Yard full of dog feces that we had to clean up. Tag for trash expired. Rental company was responsive but it’s obvious the owners threw the place together in a hurry to rent it out.

Nice location

This place is cute, but man does it smell musty. I figured this would be the case given the other reviews, but wow. Definitely don’t suggest staying here unless you can keep some windows open. There’s clearly an issue with ventilation here. Too bad because it is honestly a cute spot and very well located. Otherwise, it’s fine. The master bed could use a replacement mattress or bed frame, we ended up using the other bedroom for this reason, which was fine just something to note if you toss and turn like I do, it’s loud. The WiFi connection was good enough for light streaming, our phones and working, so that was nice. The backyard area is very nice, it was too cold for us to use it much, but it’s kept up very well, I could see this being a great hang out spot in the summer. Another suggestion, and this may have been listed somewhere and I missed it, but label the wall switches. There are switches that control certain outlets in different places, super confusing when you first arrive and you’re trying to the get the heat going (because yes, there is a switch that controls the outlet the furnace unit is attached to). I’d also suggest looking into a new cleaning company, whatever their standards are, they’re mediocre at best. All in all though, it was fine enough for a weekend, I wouldn’t book it for anything longer than that, though, unless they can get the smell thing figured out.

Quiet Location - Great Walking

We had issues with the internet and were able to direct me to make a quick fix until Spectrum could remedy it permanently two days later. THANK YOU!The house isn't in great condition - it felt un-loved. The kitchen is disorganized - things just thrown on shelves and in drawers (with the exception of the two upper cabinets Plates/Glasses). The bathroom didn't seem clean, the floor grout needs a really good scrub (especially close to the sink) and the shower had areas of black mildew. The bathroom walls with all the moisture really need to be wiped down well in-between renters - there were water streaks everywhere. The moisture in the house probably contributes to the film on countertops and on cabinet shelves even though we emptied the dehumidifier twice daily. The beds were comfortable. The supplies were adequate and appreciated. The location was great and we enjoyed sitting on the patio regularly. I would recommend for a quick stay but not longer.

Perfect Getaway

The house was perfect for my girlfriend, dog and I. The property is taken care of and clean. The back yard is large with beach access to bass lake, we used the kayaks provided with the house rental and the water is clear and not deep off the shore. The backyard was perfect for playing games like bags/cornhole. We grilled every night and had a fire with both are provided with the rental. Also, a really nice patio set and chairs by the fire pit. One night we stayed in and use the kitchen table to play card games. The kitchen is perfect for the couple of days and has a oven, large fridge and freezer. The bath looks out into the backyard and has a stand in shower. Then two bedroom which were clean and comfortable. In the living room is a large tv and sofas ( we didn’t even tv on once). Fans were provided because the place does not have A/C but we had no issues. This location is close to downtown elk rapids which is adorable and has a wonderful public beach “memorial park” which is connected to the traverse City bay which is crystal clear. Then you are only a short drive to elk lake and about a 15 minute drive to Torch lake sandbar. Torch lake is incredible and this house was perfect for the trip. It’s close to so many things.

Nice place

Place was nice and for the most part clean. Great location and access to the pier and use of the Kayaks were a nice bonus. There was some mold in the bathroom shower that should be cleaned. Also yard is full of goose poop. Maybe this is common for the area but it made the yard kind of unusable. I would recommend this place and would also rent again.
