If you are looking for a quiet, calm, and peaceful stay in the mountains this is for you! Very close to town but feels extremely private! Host was wonderful working with and my family is already in talks for a return trip next year.

Excellent property and great location. Only concern is we booked for 10 people and there were only 9 bath towels available for use and 4 rolls of toilet paper. Hopefully this will be remedied for future stays.

Wonderful At-Home Experience !

Very accommodating owners and helpful when we asked questions. The house is very large and each family had their own space without having to share bedrooms with other families. The kitchen was well stocked and supplied with kitchenware, dishes, small appliances, spices, etc. The house is close to downtown but out far enough that you feel like you are in the country. This was our second time staying here and we plan to come back again.

A must stay!

I have rented some beautiful homes all over the country, Tahoe, The Keys, N. Michigan, Hilton Head, etc., but I must say...my family fell in love with this place! Betty and Ernie were great. Waking up each morning to those mountains and the smokie, fog like valleys like we were on top of the world, undescribable. The home is very user friendly and roomy. No neighbors....just quiet. Great hiking with fantastic waterfalls, boating, day trips, and great weather. We will be back...unless of course we move there first!

birthday getaway

Beautiful house. Enjoyed the spacious living area and very comfortable beds. Great place for motorcycles as the 2 car garage will hold 4-6 bikes. Somewhat steep driveway but manageable as drive is concrete. Dont miss eating at the Chophouse great food and service. Nice ride to deal's gap or cherahola skyway. And great ride down to Helen. Grocery store just down the road for supplies and food. Best rental house that we have stayed at. Loved it!

Cold Treatment

Upon arriving to the property (Dec 21 and staying 6 nights), after an eight-hour drive, there was no heat. It is a 4-bedroom home with huge glass windows in the living room. We called the owners immediately who simply said "sorry" and told us to drive another 30-minutes to the nearest Walmart and buy space heaters. WOW. The never once offered reimbursement. My husband (having had rotator cuff surgery two weeks prior) climbed down the side of the hill at the owner's request to check the amount of gas on property. We were without heat two nights. Luckily, a repair man showed up on day three, just in time as the rest of our family arrived that evening. I am appalled that we were told to buy space heaters and were not reimbursed for anything else. Though the property was cute and quiet, I would not rent again. The owners live too far away to properly maintain the property. There is a long list of things that need repair in the home. It certainly was not worth 3600. We left one day early.

Christmas together

The house was the perfect location for our family. We were coming from Alabama, Georgia and N.C.. The kitchen had everything we needed, the house was clean and inviting. There was plenty of room to spread out and play games, that they had there. Outside there was a play set that our 2 yr. old loved! And a fire pit. While we there we went hiking, shopping and to a wonderful walking Christmas light show that was only $8 for adults and free for children. Santa was there for pictures. The owner kept us informed of a town maintenance problem that could effect us, which didn't. All in all, we had a fantastic time, the area was beautiful and the house was a great place to have fun with our family.

Best in the area.. If you are looking to relax, this is the best :)

OMG.. We were 6 adults and 3 kids and wanted to be close to Helen, waterfall, lake, Lake sports.. This house turned out to be blessing.. We skipped our one of the evening plans to go out, just because the house was sooo nice n we wanted to enjoy at home :D campfire, swings, sides for our kids.. wowwww.... house is soooo big. every thing in the house is sooooooo perfect.. its much better than what you can see in the pics.. plus its not like a old rusty house.. its very trendy and modern... owner is soooooooo quick in response, I guess I got their reply for all my questions in 10 mins..

Exceeded our expectations

We absolutely loved our stay. The home was much larger than the pictures show. Our kids are already planning on bringing multiple friends with them next year as the home could easily accommodate 10 plus people without a problem. The hosts were amazing and paid attention to all of the little details. They provided everything that you need. There were plenty of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher and laundry detergent, shampoo, coffee and kitchen basics. The views were great and the home is nice and secluded. There was a grocery store and lots of restaurants within 5-10 minutes. We used this home as a great starting point for hiking North Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina as there are a lot of great waterfalls in the area. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in North Georgia.

A Few of My Favorite Things

The house was so comfortable and well-stocked, I have had difficulty writing a succinct review. So I will give up on that and write as many favorites as I can. So here goes: a well stocked kitchen including an ice cream maker and fondue pot, two large comfortable leather couches placed across from each other making conversation easier, two contemporary lounge chairs placed in front of the TV for football watching ( what else?), an ultramodern laundry room also well stocked, the master ensuite with a large bathroom (two sinks), spa bath, separate shower with two shower heads, a ceiling heater, the play area outside, and one of my most favorite, the fire pit where on one very chilly evening we huddled together to make s'mores. There are so many more things I could list but you will have to find them yourself. In Helen we visited a candy store and walked out with a pound of delicious fudge. Many of the shops were closed the week after Christmas but we found plenty to do. Brochures found in the house described the hiking trails which assisted us in deciding where we would go if the grandparents were going. We visited Ingle's daily, sometimes two or three times a day. They make a great coconut cake. I loved the views. I was introduced to a vibrant sorghum plant. Our children come from Arizona, North Carolina, Washington State,, and Kentucky. It was wonderful to be in such a relaxing home.

Great for family get together!

We had a nice early Thanksgiving with our family comprising of 7 adults. The kitchen was well stocked and appreciated all the labeling of where everything was located as well as which light switch controlled which lights. Cute themed decor for the rooms. Quinn was great with communicating with us and answered our questions quickly. The grounds were pretty and appreciated the driveway cleared of leaves for easy access. We appreciated being able to bring our dogs along as well.

Family Vacation

We had all age ranges staying in the property including 7 kids ranging from 1.5 - 13 years old. There were lots of board games and the kids had a lot of fun playing in the playground and with the foosball table. The kitchen had all sorts of spices and supplies. We went to an orchard, hiking to some waterfalls and to the town if Helen. We also took the kids bowling in Murphy, NC. We had a great time.

Mountain Top Family Connections

We had a marvelous time as a family enjoying this property. With two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs it worked out very well to give everyone their own space. The house and the property outside are very well-maintained and the owner is extremely responsive to all questions. The kitchen was well stocked as was the laundry area. I had really hoped to use the fire pit as it is a beautiful area! There is a screened in porch area out back that we didn’t get use but would on future visits. There is also a beautiful entertainment room next to the fire pit that appears to be in the process of becoming a useable space. I look forward to hopefully returning and enjoying these nice amenities.

Family Reunion

We rented this house and 2 others for our family reunion. The house is beautiful and very clean. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. I would use this house again. The loft is as described, I made the mistake of thinking it would be a bit more private but it is not. Good spot for kids to sleep.

Great house for large family

Our family of 6 had a great stay in this beautiful home. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms are clean and spacious, and adequate bathroom accommodations . Property is very well groomed and is a great space for hanging out while enjoying mountain views. We recommend this poperty for those trying to enjoy Hiawasee, Helen, and Blairsville communities.

We are a happy couple with many hobbies and passions, including making jewelry. Betty is a business analyst for a financial software company. Ernie is a software consultant. We have several pets and enjoy seeing pictures of our guests with their pets on the grounds of the house.

Many of our vacations have been spent in the Hiawassee area. We enjoy going to the William Holland jewelry school and exploring the many distinct towns in the area. Long term we will probably spend some or most of the year in this picturesque area.

The stone work was what we first noticed when we drove up to the property. Real stone walls, flower beds and the huge stone fire pit area in front of the cook house drew us in. Inside we were enamored of the high ceilings and Tuscan fixtures. We have added some cast iron elements and plan to accent more with it as we get more time to spend at this wonderful retreat.
