Trouble from the start
When we arrived to the gates of this house the code provided by SweetHomeVacation didn't work. We arrived at around 10pm and had to wait at the gate for about 20 minutes as we exchanged 4 phone calls back and forth trying to find a code that worked. All of this occurred with a sleepy 18 month old and a dog. Once at the front door, the code the person on the phone told us to use also did not work. Upon entering the home we noticed the upkeep was really low, however, being a dog friendly place we thought this was the norm for this company. (Mind you we have stayed in MANY places with our dog that have been beautiful and well kept!) Most house rentals leave you the staples of toilet paper & paper towels and only 1 one roll of each was left for us to use. There was no trying to make this homey. We have rented homes in the US and in Europe and have never encountered this before, all houses are always welcoming and make it feel like a home. We went to buy our own paper towels to avoid using their two kitchen towels due to their disgusting odor.The main bathroom had been superficially cleaned and there was mildew along the caulking, some bleach would suffice. The towels had a smell and were left unused. The extra pillows in the closet were also dirty and the crib provided on site was broken- (we brought our own) The house has great potential but upkeep and maintenance needs HELP. The house had 1 bathroom that did not function downstairs. The refrigerator's door handle was loose and one of the drawers was broken. The pool table was missing a cue ball and and had broken pool sticks and rack. The floor was dirty, we swept it up for them. After our stay, we received a bill for "damages" incurred during our stay which included the broken pool table equipment, "stains" on towels, and dog hair-which we rented the property because it was dog friendly and paid a fee to bring him along with us. These issues for which we received this bill, were not reported to this company because 1. they were already an issue once arriving, you figure the company is aware of what is wrong in their homes 2. we didn't use the towels to see the stains. 3. Dog hair, dogs shed & we paid a fee for the dog. You figure this would be used to wash the linens in the house. It says they have many homes in the Orlando area. I would discontinue your partnership with them as they seem to have some sort of scam going. Google them, you will read about many issues dealing with this company.
