Small, somewhat aging condo with wonderful surroundings and people.

We stayed here for a few days on our trip from New York to Florida. The environment and the people have been very nice. Pete has been able to give very valuable tips. The condo was a bit dusty and outdated but since you are on the road most of the time anyway, that was not a big problem. We unfortunately did not know that the Springs were closed and would have liked a note in the advertisement. All in all, it is to be recommended!

1st time in Crystal River, FL

It was wonderful! We’ll definitely e back for another visit. We especially enjoyed the location of this rental & the use of the kayaks. We were very close to manatee viewing and were able to enjoy them every day we were here. This rental had everything we needed.

Location location location

The location was everything and then some! Close to all amenities in town and the springs. A comment on the listing, it didn’t mention the laundry was coin operated but they worked well. We didn’t use the kayaks so I can’t comment on them. The outdoor patio furniture was also not listed but a great bonus! The place worked well for us and we are already planning our next trip and plan to stay here. Thanks so much Pete

Amazing location for manatee viewing

We loved our stay in Crystal River. We visited to see manatees and were not disappointed - the property is a very short kayak from Three Sisters springs and had a lovely time kayaking and swimming with manatees.We had a couple of small issues which Pete dealt with quickly and he was also very responsive to our questions.

First visit to Crystal River

We had the greatest time as a family. This little condo was a great location. This was the first time any of us had been to the Crystal River area and we loved it and will be back again. Our host Pete was awesome and even made a point to meet us in person before we left. We had a wonderful visit and fell in love with the area.

Overall, it was a good place to stay. We would love to stay again because the location is perfect! When paddle boarding from your backyard is minutes away from three sister Springs and the island where everyone swims and hangs out it’s perfect when you don’t have a boat! The only 2 negatives we have are the beds are very worn and I would suggest hiring a new cleaning company because it wasn’t very clean however we still had a great time.

Scuba/kayak visit

We stayed at this property to do some scuba and kayaking around King’s Bay and the Rainbow River. First, the positives. The location is excellent! There are kayaks that you can put into the canal behind the rental that is a short paddle from the spring-fed lagoon at the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. You can only paddle or swim in from the canal. I also scuba-dived the Rainbow River, a short drive away. There are some great restaurants a short drive away. The rental has everything you need if you are focused on life support to get you outside enjoying nature. The down side: this rental is feeling a bit dated and worn out. A fresh coat of paint and a good look at maintenance are due. The kayaks float, but the seats are a mess. One of the docks is off limits due to maintenance issues. Would I rent here again? Yes. Would I look around for something a little “fresher?” Definitely.

Great spot

Not too fancy, but nice and homey. Great location. You share a building with three other condos, but the folks were friendly and you’re only down the canal from the Springs. Only downside was the kayaks need some maintenance, but they got us where we wanted to go!

Beautiful Springs

We are minimalists leaving on a boat and so staying at Pete’s condo was a treat for us, knowing that we would be a few paddles away from three sisters springs. Not only were we able to swim with a manatee from a distance being careful to not harass, We were able to see manatees off of Pete’s dock!

Great location with kayaks

Condo is very close to three sisters springs and offers the use of 2 kayaks during your stay which is very convenient. The rental itself is clean and has what you need, but everything is very dated and well used. It could definitely use some updating and maintenance work. Overall we had fun and would recommend this place to others because it’s a great place to easily visit the manatees.

Pete Vega Manatee Property Mgmt, Our new family lives just outside of Orlando which is approximately 1.5 hours from Crystal River. We are all Florida natives; Pete grew up in Inverness which is the town next to our vacation condos and why we chose Crystal River. We like the laid back sleepy little town feel and fell in love with the areas springs, specifically Three Sisters. What started as a weekend get a way has turned into a wonderful place we are happy to share.

We chose Crystal River because I grew up close to the springs and remember swimming in them as a kid. I enjoyed frequent field trips and summer camps to see the manatees and swim in the springs. My first scuba trip was in King Springs, around the corner from our place. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we have....

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Although the City officials do not want visitors for less than 90 nights and has outlawed vacation rentals, our property is Grandfathered in. Crystal River is a quiet little town with plenty to offer. The springs are beautiful and less than a 2 minute paddle from our dock. On any given morning you can see manatees and dolphin swim by our dock, boat or paddle to waterfront restaurants and enjoy the nature preserve in Kings Bay. A 7 mile scenic boat ride takes you to the Gulf of Mexico where there is fantastic fishing, nature viewing and in the summer, scallop harvesting. You will enjoy near by Homosassa Wildlife Park and Indian burial grounds which leave a lot to explore. Golf courses, bike/hiking trails close will allow for an active vacation if desired.
