Unsere Wohnungen sind in der Piazza Beccaria Mittelpunkt eines großen Stadterneuerungsprogramm, von Giuseppe Poggi, initiiert in der kurzen Zeit sich als Florenz war die Hauptstadt von Italien (1865-1871).

Piazza Beccaria, Kulisse des monumentalen Geschmack, der der Drehpunkt eines mittelalterlichen Turms durch eine Reihe von imposanten Palästen mit einer konkaven neoklassizistische Fassade umgeben ist. In einer dieser eleganten Paläste sind unsere Wohnungen gehostet.

Unsere Appartements befinden sich in Piazza Beccaria, dem Brennpunkt der Stadterneuerung von Florenz Hauptstadt Italiens aus dem Jahr 1865 von dem Architekten Giuseppe Poggi entfernt.

Der Platz, malerische Kulisse des monumentalen Geschmack, wird von einem mittelalterlichen Turm in der Mitte durch eine Reihe von Gebäuden mit konkaven Fassaden im neoklassizistischen Stil, und es ist in einer dieser eleganten Gebäuden umgeben gekennzeichnet, dass unsere Wohnungen befinden.

BED BUGS

Do not stay here. We got bit by bed bugs and there was no WiFi or pillow cases. Not clean and not enough amenities that were promised. Gross and almost unusable resources (toilets and beds). The host never answered any messages. Terrible stay.

Great location to walk around and enjoy what Florence has to offer. Plenty of space in the apartment for our family of 6, plus our family dog! We cooked dinner both nights, and found the majority of what we needed in the kitchen. The sleeper sofa is very old and not very comfortable… I wouldn’t recommend relying on it.

The apartment was the perfect size for the 5 of us! It is within a 18 minute walk of the tourist sites. Local dining options are everywhere. Parking was within a 5 minute walk. Grocery store is 6 minutes away. Busses are right out front although we never took them. Lorenzo is busy and doesn’t respond to all requests but does respond to the BIG requests. Apartment was clean and large. The only negative was the futon/couch bed. It was broken and they really need to fix it or get a new one. Our 16 year old had to sleep sideways on it so if you want 6 people in the apartment good luck! splendid city and the location is great and the elevator is wonderful!!

Bad host

Never could reach host. Check-in was not good...didnt know what apartment was ours and only had 2 keys not 3 as you need 3 keys to get in main door, elevator and room. Found 2 dead rats in the couch which we needed for extra bed. No lights or working outlet in kitchen. Never received wifi password...with 10 mesages sent to hosr and no response t. Absolutely the worst .witnresponse.

Many critics and dissatisfied with the host

We are deeply dissatisfied with the host. We travel a lot and have many experiences with diverse holiday homes. Now our concrete points of criticism: 1. The arrival: we were not given a specific address, as there are two number 4s on the piazza. According to the listing, there should have been someone to welcome us from 16h onwards. This was not the case. Instead, we had to contact the host and were only then told to self check-in. Why did they not write this on the listing? 2. After our arrival, we discovered that we could not access the washing machine. Again, we had to contact the host several times. Only then we were informed that the door was locked. We had to go to the city to buy new clothes because they did not agree to open the door that evening. Furthermore, we discovered that there was no information regarding the WiFi connection listen on the rental agreement. Again, we had to contact the host several times and were given wrong information. Hence, 3. We were asked to pay a cash payment that was not included in the rental agreement. From our point of view, we have already paid all sums to be paid in advance listed in the contract. Also, the sum to be paid in cash is always paid at the end of the stay. Again, we inquired about this sum and were not given a clear answer.

Ubicada en muy buena zona y con muchas facilidades, es un lugar en general limpio y cómodo. La comunicación con el host se debe hacer con tiempo, ya que sus respuestas no son inmediatas, tanto para la llegada, como para la salida.

Achtung aufgepasst!

Der Vermieter sollte ausreichend vor Anreise kontaktiert werden, ob die Wohnung noch zur Verfügung steht. Unsere Reise begann leider etwas chaotisch, da der Vermieter die Wohnung zweimal vergeben hatte. Einmal über Fewo, wo wir gebucht haben und einmal über Airbnb. Dies fiel leider erst am Tag unserer Ankunft auf. Der Vermieter stornierte die Buchung einfach und war für uns in keinster Weise erreichbar. So standen wir mit drei Kinder einfach mitten in Florenz und mussten zu sehen,wie wir klar kommen. Zum Glück hat uns das Fewo-Team gut geholfen und uns bei der Sucher einer neuen Unterkunft unterstützt. Also aufgepasst und nachgefragt, ob man die Wohnungsschlüssel tatsächlich bekommt!

Vale la vista

La proprietà è spaziosa e carina, adatta a massimo 6 persone. Il quid in più è la vista sul Duomo che si scorge dal terrazzo che non ha prezzo. Pessima invece la pulizia delle lenzuola e dei materassi, penso che non siano mai stati lavati. In casa non abbiamo trovato nessun elettrodomestico rotto, ma complessivamente andrebbe curata un po' di più. La cosa strana è che il 31 dicembre in salotto volano diverse zanzare.

Uncomfortable and broken

Lorenzo, the owner, nicely let us drop our bags before check-in time, but that is about the only positive. The wi-fi was out Sunday thru Tuesday. After repeated requests, it was fixed. But the broken washing machine and dishwasher were never fixed. The sleeper sofa is so old, you sit on the metal frame. However, the bedrooms are nice-sized and one of the beds was very comfortable. The view of the Duomo was great, but we only spent a few minutes looking as mosquitos overwhelmed us.

Poor communication

We asked for an extra night 4 weeks in advance, no answer. We were on the train an hour out,and he said we could stay the extra night, for cash..We could not figure out how to use the washing machine.no instructions. 1 roll of toilet paper,the toilet was very difficult to flush, my husband used a pail to fill with water and flush. 2 keys, my husband went to an appointment and we had to wait 2 hours for his return,our key was broken! The light and fuse in the kitchen did not work,we had to put the coffee pot on the floor in the living room. Light in bedroom closet did not work had to put suit case on floor by the window to see. 1 dirty dish towel. He left a mop in the laundry closet which smelled terrible, I washed it and put it outside.The worst was — the internet did not work! We called for 3 days and he did not answer until late on the 3rd day.We called T mobile and called my son in New Jersey for help.t mobile said ,nothing wrong with our phones. We had to go back to the train station to find schedules for the rest of our trip. We have stayed at vrbo s for many years and in many countries,this was the worst.We like to have breakfast at our place and then venture out,sometimes bringing home food for supper. He certainly put a dent in our vacation,we wasted so much time with internet and $$$ to call New Jersey.very disappointing experience. The other reviews might have been from people only staying a few nights.We were there 5 nights. I would like VRBO to look into this, and reply. We paid up front and did not get what we paid for.

Great location and accommodations

The property was centrally located in the city, able to walk to many sights that we wanted to see. Grocery shopping is very close. Bus stops are right in front of the building. One word of caution for most cities in Italy, the floors are much taller than the US. When the site says that it is on the third floor, it is the equivalent of the fourth or fifth floor in the US because of the number of steps involved. Not a problem here as it has an elevator but each place we stayed in Italy was the same. Plan accordingly when looking for a flat to rent. Loved this place, and loved the view from the balcony, the host was very easy to work with.

Nice neighborhood and view

The house was bug enough for six people. The spot is perfect to discover the city, within walking distance to visit alla the monuments and the river. We had two cars which we could easily park on the street. The place is quite old though needs renovation and some new furniture. Also it could be a little more cleaner. The balcony is small but you enjoy the view. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location and home for the historic city of Florence !

My wife and our 2 adult kids all had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable and charming home. Form the minute you walk out the door and start your short walk into the historic district of Florence it is beautiful and the heart beat of a wonderful Italian town and people. Highly recommend this residence, Simona met us on time and showed us up to the apartment, the elevator is very nice for luggage and the view from the small balcony of the city roof line i very pretty. Nice and quiet at night with very comfortable beds. Highly recommend this home and would rent it again ! Jeff & Shelly

In ordine di scoperta: - lo scarico del gabinetto non funzionava - l'acqua calda non funzionava - il pavimento era aspirato, ma non veniva lavato da tanto tempo - la lavastoviglie era piena di stoviglie sporche, ed era anche essa non funzionante - alcuni mobili della casa erano danneggiati ed inutilizzabili. Nessuno dei suddetti problemi è stato curato dal proprietario durante il mio soggiorno. Il proprietario, inoltre, dopo il mio insistere affinché risolvesse almeno i problemi maggiori, ha smesso di rispondere alle telefonate. Sconsigliato

Absolutely loved it!

I stayed at this VRBO with 5 other girls and we loved it. It was clean and comfortably fit the 6 of us. It is in a great location with lots of restaurants nearby and it was only a short walk to the center of town. The view from the balcony is just as stunning as it looks in the pictures! Lorenzo was great too and made sure we had everything we needed!

Renaissance trip!

First time visit to Florence. We loved the location as it was walking distance to the Duomo and other attractions, but tucked into the University area so it had a less touristy and more local vibe. Lorenzo our host, allowed us early access to drop-off our bags, which was wonderful. Place was clean and ready for us. We were a family of 5, 4 of which were women, so the only caveat is that one bathroom was not enough for us. We knew when we booked but actually experiencing it made us realize we need a second bathroom if we are a large group. I'm sure if it was guys it wouldn't have been a problem. Again, this is not a criticism, just our experience. Overall, we loved the place and the location. Looking forward to returning to Florence.

Wonderful place to stay!

Our family of four (teenagers and adults) had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The view from the balcony was just like the listing photo and many great shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Lorenzo was wonderful and very helpful, showing us how to use the elevator and how the locks worked. He even was able to meet us for a slightly early check-in. This apartment is one of a few owned by his family in this building, previously the home of his grandfather. We really liked knowing this was a family property. The furniture including beds are very comfortable and the art work in the first bedroom particularly charming. Be sure to check the balcony duomo view at night - so beautiful! We definitely recommend this place!

All I can say is... AMAZING

This apartment was fantastic. Large and airy with everything you need. Lovely balcony with the most fantastic view of the Duomo. Lorenzo was great. Very welcoming, and friendly and enthusiastic about his city. The area was just amazing, transport directly outside the apartment, close to the shops, street entertainment every day/night, mixed with the locals and tourists. Just an awesome area. Highly recommended. Ask Lorenzo about his other apartment - that too is amazing. Thanks Lorenzo. It was great to meet you and we really enjoyed Florence.

Impression d’avoir été trompé

Attention annonce trompeuse : vous pensez vous trouver dans le paradis du calme et de la serrenité Ce n’est malheureusement pas tout à fait le cas C’est en fait une véritable entreprise immobilière qui a été créée avec un objectif : la rentabilité. Reconnaissons que d’un point de vue architectural et choix des matériaux, c’est très réussi. Notamment les logements qui sont très fonctionnels et décorés avec goût Mais une fois arrivé vous prenez conscience qu’il y a 10 logements et 30 personnes possibles au même moment ! Vous prenez quasiment vos repas avec vos voisins ( qui étaient heureusement très discrets) : en effet vous êtes « éloignés » d’1m de la terrasse du voisin séparé par de vagues pots de fleurs clairsemés La piscine ( très belle ) se trouve à 2m de votre entrée , vous profitez ainsi des allées et venues des autres vacanciers qui vont se baigner ou regagnent leur logement Bref , une grande promiscuité ne permettant pas la tranquillité et l’intimité familiale que nous venions rechercher. Le grand reproche que nous faisons , c’est que tout cela n’était pas du tout décrit ainsi. Nous avions d’ailleurs demandé des photos de la terrasse de notre logement, bizarrement nous ne les avons jamais reçues..... Autres surprises : à l’arrivée on vous annonce que l’eau du robinet n’est pas potable.... et vous voilà reparti pour aller chercher les packs d’eau que vous n’avez évidemment pas prévus Bref , c’est bien dommage d’avoir aussi mal conçu cet ensemble car l’endroit et vraiment beau et très bien placé pour visiter les bijoux que ce sont Florence, Sienne ou Volterra. Une grande déception !
