Das Hotel liegt am Ende des Hwy J in Pitts, MO. Das geräumige Haus ist 2 Ebene (3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder) mit einem vollen Ausstand Keller. Das neu renovierte Haus ist ein kurzer Spaziergang zum See hinunter. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie 2 Schlafzimmer mit Wohnzimmer, Küche, Esszimmer und ein Vollbad zu finden. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich 1 Schlafzimmer, 1 Bad, ein Wohnzimmer mit Schlafsofa, ein Barbereich mit Kühlschrank und Waschmaschine / Trockner. Das Haus verfügt über 1 Queen-Size-Bett, 2 Full-Size-Betten, 2 Twin-Size-Betten und ein ausziehbares Schlafsofa. Wir haben auch 2 Queen-Size-Luftmatratzen, wenn für mehr Platz benötigt. Beiden Wohnbereiche haben 46" Flachbildschirm-Fernseher mit Dish Network Kanalisierung, DVD-Player (einschließlich einer Vielzahl von DVD). Brettspiele sind im Keller für alle Altersgruppen befindet, eine Dartscheibe und einen Vegas-Art-Kartentisch mit verschiedenen Gaming-Entscheidungen. Der Küchenbereich ist mit großem Kühlschrank, Herd, Mikrowelle, Topftopf, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Mixer, Töpfe, Pfannen und alle Utensilien, die Sie für jede Kochen oder Grillen benötigen. Es gibt auch einen großen Kühlschrank und Schrankbereich im Erdgeschoss. Die 40 ft. Überdachte Terrasse ist dem See zugewandt und umfasst ein Propan-Grill (gebrauchsfertig) und viel Platz zum Sitzen, Entspannen und die Seenlandschaft und viel Natur zu genießen. Der Hinterhof bietet auch eine Feuerstelle Bereich für die Nächte oder viel Schatten nur faulenzen an einem heißen Tag. Das Haus ist 100 Meter vom Ufer entfernt und bietet auch eine Anlegestelle an einer strandähnlichen Uferpromenade. Viel Platz für die Kinder zu spielen, schwimmen oder Fisch.

Das Haus liegt günstig, 3 Meilen von der Bootsrampe entfernt, an der Sie Ihren Wohnwagen ausreichend abstellen können. Ein Full-Service-Lebensmittelgeschäft liegt 3 Meilen entfernt und die Tankstelle ist nur 3. 6 Meilen entfernt.

Andere Restaurants, Bowling, Antiquitätenläden und Lucas Oil Speedway sind innerhalb von 15 Meilen entfernt.

Disappointed in Host and Vrbo

Cabin was nice, cutely decorated, difficult to find. Unbeknownst to me, a guest complained to host re dirty sheets, bathrooms, grill, etc just to advise her about probable poor cleaning service. Host told Guest that a new cleaning service was used, then kicked us out, stated would give full refund. When I then learned of this, I contact Host & politely ask host to reconsider & reply was she had already contacted Vrbo to kick us out, that she had herself done the cleaning & would only give partial refund, to notify her when we left. We were 10 hours from home, had to find lodging, rest of family had to just go home. Vrbo did not contact me until late that evening only to offer suggestions where to stay. Vrbo is not easy to deal with & has not resolved the matter. Bottom line: Host should have been consulting me, the one who booked and paid, not the guest. Vrbo should have reached out to me immediately when host kicked us out. Host gave conflcting stories and Vrbo is giving me the run around. The complaining guest cleans condos so knows how a rental s/b cleaned. She went & bought cleaning supplies, washed sheets, scrubbed bathrooms, etc. The cabin was much, much cleaner when we left than when we arrived. We were heartbroken not get to be with our family & we incurred unnecessary additional costs that were not planned or in our budget!

What a great family friendly place to stay!

Property was great. The house is set up on 2 levels with a large covered deck, fire pit and and a short walk to the dock. This is the second year in a row we have stayed here and will most likely be back next year.

Our Favorite Place to Stay

We love staying here! Hilltop Haven has everything we need. Comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked, plenty of space to relax and it is close to the lake. It is clean and well maintained. We choose this over everywhere else in the area. It is our fifth consecutive year and we look forward to many more.

I always read reviews before staying somewhere. I was so nervous reading some of the bad reviews, but I tell you what, ignore them like I did because our stay was phenomenal! I never had to reach out to Kelly, but I know if I would have, communication would have been perfectly fine. We had Verizon, so our service was just fine, but even if you had to back track a little for reception, it wasn’t a big deal. The lake is literally right behind the house. It is on an incline, but the name “Hilltop Haven” is a given so we came prepared. I do recommend bringing a wagon if you have intentions of loading up a boat at the shared dock though. When they say their kitchen is well equipped, they mean it. We did not need anything extra our whole trip for cooking. There is a Dollar General and ALP store fairly close by if you do happen to forget something. The home was so cute with its Rustic Lake House decor. We were wanting to unplug, unwind and just hang out with our friends and this was the perfect place for it. Super quiet area! We saw lots of wildlife which was fun for the kiddos. The back porch was absolutely delightful for any time of day. We honestly stayed so busy we didn’t get to use the fire pit as much as we’d like, but how nice and convenient it was! I’m definitely keeping this place saved because our group already wants to start planning its next trip back! Thank you Kelly for offering such a wonderful space. So happy we found your place!

What a great place!!

It was all top notch, everything you needed and not junk items all the way to the towels. Our family of 9 had 0lenty of room and very comfy inside not to mention the huge covered deck and fire pit, would recommend this place as well as stay there again myself.

Cozy lake home

Since it was winter we didn’t get to enjoy the lake amenities but the home is well stocked and beautifully decorated in an antique country motif. The basement space is rustic and adds extra gathering space. Having an extra refrigerator was a real bonus. We celebrated Christmas with family, and while the weather kept some away, it was a great place for us to share.

Lovely Property!

We stayed over the Christmas weekend and spent Christmas there as one big family. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was a good size for everyone to work around in and the living room and dining room areas were great for hanging out in. We did have some concerns slash suggestions but nothing majorly bad or wrong with the property. First, there was limited seating around the dining room table and not enough chairs for us. You might look in to keeping some folding chairs in the closet? Second, the beds in the top floor bedrooms were pretty high off the floor, our older parents had a little trouble with that but it worked out. They were very comfortable beds from what they said! Overall, great place to stay, especially if you are looking for a lake house. The basement area was really cool and personalized! Last suggestion we had was to keep a guest book for visitors to sign once they leave. This is the first rental we’ve had where there wasn’t one and we always enjoy writing a thoughtful nice message to the property owners at the end of our stay, I’m sure others would enjoy that too. Thank you again for being such good hosts and thank you for allowing us to stay in your guys house!

Thanksgiving at The Lake

we found the house cozy and warmly decorated. All supplies were provided as indicated, kitchen well stocked. Plenty of room for the six of us and our dogs. Only negative was the weather (but this is November afterall) - we had hoped to use the firepit to roast marshmallows and cook hotdogs. But great that there was a grill for us to use. Boys and their dad enjoyed wal to the lake - finding neat rocks.

Not What I Expected

I will preface my comments by saying the property overall was clean though I did some scrubbing in the fridge prior to putting my food in it. Didn't have the best start when the door keylock didn't work. We tried for 30 minutes in excessive heat to gain entry before we were able to get inside. I expected (my mistake) a lake view which we didn't have. Our goal was to swim & fish off the dock. Make sure you have water shoes to swim it was so muddy - my husband cut his foot on the side of the dock. I didn't take first aid because I read it was available in the house - never did find even a band aid. Understandably, the property is well water which I've lived with before. We smelled sewage in the water from faucets. Owners reported it was sulfur which I've also lived with but it didn't smell like sulfur to the 3 adults that stayed. Nothing we could do about that though I did boil water before making iced tea. Our 16 yr old grandson slept w/his mother & 7 yr old brother in a full bed because both boys refused to sleep downstairs. Oh, the nice grill pictured didn't work. Couldn't get the knobs to adjust. Did get a small flame in the back wall of grill which isn't conducive for grilling steaks. The property was decorated in a very cute manner & the kitchen offered almost every appliance one would want. I'm not accustomed to writing a negative review & gave myself a couple weeks cooling off period prior to doing so. It didn't help the day we got home the price was dropped $30 nightly. This is the 1st time we've used a 3rd party rental & quite possibly may be the last.

Such a wonderful property!

This was the perfect lake house! The back deck was the spot to hang out. My friends and I wanted a quiet weekend away to relax and recharge, and Kelly’s lake house was absolutely wonderful! Kelly was prompt to answer any questions, and helped add to our delightful time. Amazing!

make sure dock is accessible

They only down fall was THE DOCK!!! That sucked big time. If I had know the dock was not accessible we wouldn't have chosen this place we had to swim out and pull our self up on the dock causing cuts and bruising, Very hard for the little one and my father. The neighbor was very rude about us using his dock and would not let us use it. commenting that it is a shame that the owner will not/ has not fixed it. Other then that the stay was wonderful! very clean and beautiful home. If dock was fixed I would go back.

2 couples own this home. We travel all over the world together and have several business ventures together. We love having a lake house for the weekends when all of our a families get together. Our lake house was a labor of love. When we purchased it, all 4 of us spent many hours cleaning, repairing and redecorating it so that we would feel like home when we walked in......and we do. This property was purchased for the benefit of our families and many other families to enjoy. We searched forever to find the perfect home that had the necessities we thought were important to our families to make lots of memories in. This home features an amazing upstairs with 2 rooms and a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Downstairs the kids will enjoy the additional space to watch tv and have their own room and bathroom area. The beautiful deck stretches the entire length of the home and features an amazing view as the sun is coming up and going down. A 100 yd walk and you are at an area that you can enjoy swimming, fishing or relaxing at. The dock is also located in this area which can be reached easily by foot.

The home having walk-to water access is very rare on Pomme De Terre lake. This is definitely something we wanted and waited to find the perfect home that had this unique feature. It is a 2nd tier home that does require a walk up a hill back to the house which is why we named it Hilltop Haven.
