A lovely appartment in London. It’s easy to reach the city of London from there. It’s small but clean and contains everything you need. I’d definetly book it again.

Nice apartment in a very good neighborhood.

The apartment was very comfortable. Close to restaurants and transit. Easy to get to anywhere on the Underground. And a short walk to Baker Street and a quick bus ride to Abbey Road Studios. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would highly recommend it.

Comfortable flat in a great location

This flat is in a great location for exploring central London. Public transport options that will take you anywhere are just steps away. The flat isn't fancy, but it's very comfortable with all the amenities you need. It's bright and airy, and I've already booked my return visit. :-)

Great little place in Marylebone

We had a good time in London in the appartment. It’s small but perfect for a few days exploring the city. Great localisation. The tube, buses, and a lot of shops are nearby. The kitchen would benefit having a few more ustensils to cook and the beds are not comfortable, but all in all a great place to stay to visit the city. Good communication with Jo and John.

London in June

The apartment was great, loved having the bedroom so our baby could sleep and we could still move around and enjoy ourselves. Location is awesome, very close to underground and many shops and restaurants. It was very hot while we were here and we do wish there was a fan or 2 available, but the apartment did cool off in the evening/ morning breeze. Previous reviews complain about the beds but honestly they were fine.

Great experience!

Everything about this experience was lovely! The owners communicated quickly to all our questions and helped us with questions unrelated to the apartment (local payment methods, proximity to other sites, etc.) They met us at the apartment with the keys as scheduled. The apartment itself is adorable and very close to an Underground station and great restaurants. If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, easy place to stay, we highly recommend! A true London experience!

Unable to sleep on couch without mattress topper

We enjoyed our stay. Did have some issues with the pull out couch. Owner had to bring mattress topper to cover pull out couch as springs made it almost impossible to sleep on it. The toaster tripped the electrical breaker. Had to call and they walked us through resetting the breaker.

Great location but mattresses weren’t comfortable

The location of the apartment was amazing. It was close to shops and restaurants as well as the tube. The wifi did stop working at some point and I did not have a response from the property manager when I wrote to them. I ended up fixing it myself. The apartment itself was small but functional for what we were using it for. The main bedroom mattress needs to be changed as it is not comfortable. We got a nice friendly welcome from John when arriving. I would recommend this listing to people and would go back to it.

Cozy home base for exploring London

This flat was perfect for our week in London. My spouse and I were traveling with out two kids who were young and small enough to share the sleeper sofa (I would not recommend this location for a family with more than one child unless your kids get along reasonably well). The location is perfect for exploring the city by public transport with Marylebone station very close by and both the Edgeware Road and Baker Street Stations a reasonable walk away for getting on most of the lines with few transfers. The flat is very compact, with a narrow kitchen and bathroom and a dual-purpose furniture (sofa bed, kitchen counter space that does double duty as a dining table & prep space) and scaled-down appliances (mini fridge, very compact range, etc.). This worked great for us, as we honestly didn't spend a lot of time lounging and had no need to spread out and were purposefully traveling light on our vacation. We prepared multiple meals in the kitchen and weren't missing anything we needed in the way of cookware, crockery, and utensils. The mattress in the bedroom was not the most comfortable I've experienced (nor the least), but other reviewers had mentioned this and it wasn't a surprise. Jo was very responsive and welcoming, and check in with John was a great experience. We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay here!

Ottima posizione casa eccellente

Siamo stati con la mia famiglia 4 giorni a londra , questo appartamento è a 3 minuti a piedi dalla stazione di Marylobone e a 6 minuti da regent park e hyde park Posizione eccellente per girare londra centro , in 15 minuti di metro si arriva ovunque. Proprietario squisito e disponibile per qualsiasi cosa . Appartamento piccolo , ma essenziale come appoggio. Compreso di cucina , lavatrice, 1 divano letto in sala da pranzo , 1 camera da letto ed 1 bagno.

Sehr klein und warm

Es ist eine kleine, praktisch eingerichtete Wohnung. Manfrau schläft in Doppelbett, welches sehr eng ist (ca. 1,40 m Breite) Die Couch im Wohnzimmer ist für eine Person ausreichend, aber für zwei Personen ein bisschen zu eng und vor allen Dingen sehr hart. Die Heizungen haben keine Thermostate und waren voll aufgedreht, so dass wir die ganze Nacht die Fenster offen lassen mussten und es trotzdem noch sehr warm in der Wohnung war. Die Gegend ist allerdings ab 6:00 Uhr sehr belebt und auch laut, so dass man kaum bei geöffnetem Fenster ruhig schlafen konnte.

Idéal pour 2

Bien situé, épiceries en face, à 3 minutes du métro (tube),petit appartement idéal pour 2 (ou 3 si enfant moins de 10 ans) avec tout ce qu’il faut. Bémol sur le lit et le « divan-lit », pas très confortable et sur la pression de l’eau dans la douche (mais j’imagine que le proprio n’y est pour rien). Propre et bel accueil

Awful - not found as listed

Uncomfortable and poorly presented - the photographs on the site were a misrepresentation of the furniture and general condition of the apartment (the photos have now been updated with what is actually there). Yes it's an old, 'quirky' building with a sloping floor in the bedroom, but the furniture and soft furnishings are also very old and tatty (the sofabed is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on) and it looks like it hasn't been decorated for years. The appliances are also very old , with cables hanging off the wall and one extension lead that didn't work. As for the shower, (note no close-up photos) years of neglect and solid black mould were found in the tiles. Note that you can hear every footstep and conversation from the flat upstairs, a child running around and shouting/crying so do not expect a quiet place. The owner was apologetic but did not acknowledge the condition of the place, putting it down to being an old building! Pathetic! We moved out.

Great location and communication

It was so easy to check-in, get groceries and get around London - which is a huge bonus. The sleeping accommodations (bed/couch) shown in the photos were not as pictured and extremely uncomfortable. Aside from silverware, there was a single bread knife for sharp cutting needs. With a few small tweaks it would be five stars.

Appartement très bien situé mais 2 gros points noirs. Les lits très inconfortables, en particulier le canapé-lit du salon bien trop petit pour deux. La salle de bain n'était pas propre. Pas de balai ni d'aspirateur, ni de torchons.

Cozy and in an excellent location!

Jo's property was excellent for all of my needs during my trip! I stayed by myself in the space for a week and it could not have gone better. The space is well equipped with cooking equipment and there's more than enough storage for any groceries that you might pick up. I can see how the space would be a bit tight with two people, but it was exactly what I needed for just myself. As you might notice in other reviews, the real highlight of the space is the location. Close access to Tube lines that will take you wherever you need to go. Also, close to a wide variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Check-in was a breeze (John is very friendly) and in general the area is very safe, so no concerns on my end coming home later in the evening. The only recommendation that I would make is providing laundry detergent for guests to use. I ended up buying my own and giving it to a friend which is fine, but otherwise I would have just left it for other guests to use. I would definitely stay at Jo's place in the future!

Good position and general quality

We stayed 5 days in the apartment, in May. The weather was sunny and warm, and the heating was not necessary. PROS Position: the apartment is at 3 minutes from Marylebone station, 10 from Reagent Park and the are plenty of buses passing through. Amenities: there is a 24h Tesco at 20 meters, and a few restaurants in the sorroundings. General quality: although nothing fancy, the apartment was big enough and clean enough for us to enjoy the few hourse we spent in The street is relatively quite, despite being central. CONS The mattress in the bedroom is just terrible. Incredibly though, it’s not as uncomfortable as one would think looking at it. The sofa bed is, on the other hand, really uncomfortable, and really small. No way two people can sleep on it. In general, we had a good time. Good location and discrete overall quality, I’d suggest the owners to invest some money on a new mattress and a sofa bed. Still, I recommend the place to whomever wants to spend a few days in central London.

Perfect London home away from home

Jo and john, we enjoyed your flat. It was a perfect home away from home. It is everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. Great neighborhood so close to tube station and a Tesco around the corner. We felt very safe.

Needs improvement

The location is great. The flat was tiny, even smaller than the pictures show. The bed is surely older than the Queen. I was visiting my husband for one week and we could not even share the bed because of pressure points from springs. The “fully equipped kitchen” has a refrigerator no taller than my 2 year old and there is no freezer. If you keep the heat on at night, don’t. The noise will keep you up all night. Most of the furniture is broken in some way. The price was lower than most but the quality as well.

Great location

Property was simple but good. Great location, easy getting keys and communication with host. They could use a few more pots for cooking. Bed was too soft and mushy for me. Could use a better mattress. Good for price.
