Einzigartiges freistehendes Ferienhaus am Rande des New Forest und der Südküste

Potting Shed Sopley ist ein kleines freistehendes Ferienhaus, das kürzlich umgebaut wurde und Platz für zwei Personen bietet. Es hat auch ein geräumiges Loft, ideal zum Entspannen mit einem guten Buch oder kreativer mit einigen Kunstwerken.

Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein gut geplanter Hauptraum mit Küche / Ess- und Wohnbereich und einem kürzlich installierten Holzofen. Vor dem Haus befinden sich ein Duschbad und ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett.

Das Loft ist über eine speziell gestaltete Treppe zugänglich und führt zu einer offenen Galerie und einem Studio mit Blick auf den Hauptraum. Im Freien gibt es einen großen Rasen und eine Terrasse mit Grillplatz und Chiminea zum Leben im Freien.

Es gibt Parkplätze für ein Auto in der Einfahrt und keinen Mangel für andere Parkplätze auf der Straße außerhalb.

Das Potting Shed befindet sich am Rande des New Forest in dem kleinen Dorf Sopley an der Grenze zwischen Dorset und Hampshire nahe der Südküste Englands.

Für diejenigen, die die Natur lieben, gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und Radfahren im New Forest oder auf dem Avon Valley Footpath, der durch das Dorf Sopley führt. Auch für Angler geeignet, die in den beiden örtlichen Flüssen oder in der Mündung des Mudefords angeln möchten. Es gibt ausgezeichnete Strände in der Nähe, darunter Bournemouth, Mudeford und Hengistbury Head.

Christchurch, Ringwood, Bournemouth und Salisbury sind alle in der Nähe und bieten ausgezeichnete Tage für diejenigen, die die Zeit genießen möchten, historische Gebäude zu besuchen oder einzukaufen. Poole und sein außergewöhnlicher Hafen, der von Seglern bevorzugt wird, sind nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt und bieten viel zu entdecken auf der Halbinsel Purbeck und an der Juraküste.

Spoilt by pet hair

The Potting Shed was quirky. Sofas not very comfy and had pet hair on them. Pet hair also on floir and on and under coffee table. I found this unacceptable as I wiuld if there were a lot of human hair around.

Just a little weekend away

We arrived at the Potting shed ready to start our mini break and we were not disappointed. We had some lovely welcome gifts. The property is situated near the woolpack (highly recommended) and the property had maps for walks we could do. It isn’t far from the beach by car either and we found the dog friendly part and had a lovely morning. We will be back!

The property was excellent for one person but, in particular, the bed was on the small side for more than one. The location was not brilliant being very close to a very busy minor road.

Great location and brilliant for cyclists!

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at The Potting Shed. Communication with Laura from start to finish has been excellent. Nice set up with everything conveniently located on the ground floor. [We did not use the art room upstairs ]. Lots of cycling routes nearby and best of all, at least 3 pubs within walking distance. The Woolpack, just across the road was the best meal. Only a 10 minute drive to the beach and what a beach! Bigger garden than expected and nice to get the car off the road and make use of the excellent bike storage. Many thanks Sarah & Richard

New Forest escape

The potting shed was nicely presented, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and responsive and the area is really nice too with a great pub and lots of country walks close by. Will book again next time we are in the area :)

Nice bijou bolt hole

The property is very nice, bijou but very well done and equipt. It is well placed for exploring the New Forest, the private parking was great for us and there is a nice pub, the Woolpack, just across the road. However, while sitting in the garden, you are subjected to a fair amount of road noise.

Small but perfectly formed

A brilliant use of space and colour with everything you need in a beautiful garden with lots of great walking from the door and a pub you can roll out of bed for with fantastic food...and a TV that gave Wimbledon time for us on our time out....very hard to beat.

We had a fantastic stay at the ‘Potting Shed’ and we’re delighted to find a gorgeous home from home, from the great location to the lovely log burning stove. Fantastically clean and tidy, with all facilities provided and a lovely welcome pack. We will definitely be returning!

Another happy visit to the PS

Have stayed here multiple times now and always good to go back. Thoughtful touches in the cottage and the new bike shed would be very helpful if you were on a cycling holiday. Just be aware there is nothing easily walkable as the lovely Woolpack pub is sadly currently closed. However the Fisherman’s haunt is only 5 mins in the car.

Lovely Holiday home in a quiet village

The stay and property as a whole were fantastic, its great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town, a car or vehicle is needed ideally, but even if you wish to walk Christchurch isnt so far away with all that is needed. Will stay again in the future and recommend it to others.

Ideal for short break

Small and cosy with a wood burner, compact property. Parking in a gravel drive off road. Ideal for touring the New Forest area and can return at the end of the day and walk across the road to a pretty decent pub if don’t want to self cater which kitchen is fine for.

Quiet rand comfortable

Surprisingly large inside. Clean, good kitchen and nice to be given some milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Only draw back is the patio that needs a good brush down but that is easily fixed. The lady next door gave us some fresh eggs from her chickens which was really nice.

Perfect

The Potting Shed is absolutely perfect. I had to travel for business and the Potting shed was perfect for what I needed. It’s very clean and comfortable and the fire was lovely in the chilly evenings. Laura was very conscientious with meeting COVID guidelines, which made me feel more relaxed about having to travel. I have already booked for my next business trip but would definitely stay here on holiday and highly recommend to family and friends. Thank you

Lovely little cottage

Me & my boyfriend wanted a nice quiet weekend away and we couldn’t have been happier at the potting shed! It’s such a lovely little cottage - big enough for 2 people! Good location and easy to get to various places by car - Lyndhurst, Christchurch, Bournemouth etc..

Zu Gast bei Potting Shed Sopley

Sopley has always been a special place to me as we use to holiday here as a family, so I love enabling others to enjoy this special place. I now have a young family and juggle looking after them, managing the Potting Shed and teaching English as a foreign language on-line and in person to refugees and asylum seekers.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

My parents bought 21 Sopley (next to the Potting Shed) in 1979 as they were driving through Sopley for under £20,000 and took me and my sister to this cottage for years. It was a real "step back in time" with no telephone or TV and frequently frozen pipes! We loved exploring the New Forest and beaches locally.

Later, my Dad bought a plot of land next door and put a Potting Shed on it for storage. in 2016 we decided it would be more use as a holiday chalet so worked on converting it into a simple one bedroom chalet with a quiet loft space. It is now a lovely self-contained cottage with a large living, kitchen, dining area and beautiful garden to enjoy the outdoors.

Although you are relatively close to "civilization" it still feels quiet and peaceful staying at the Potting Shed. The garden is full of nature and in the summer it is especially nice for enjoying the sunshine and a BBQ. In winter there is a log burner stove to give the Potting Shed a really "cosy" feel. There is a pub opposite, the Woolpack for easy access to food or drink.
