Unser 4-Jahreszeiten-Blockhaus (Bj. Erbaut 2002) ist auf einer Sackgasse in einem ruhigen Abschnitt entfernt von den wichtigsten Straßen in der Chimney Hill Resort Gemeinschaft. Es ist voll möbliert 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer und kann 9+ Personen (Master (up) Etagenbett Zimmer, Queen-Size unteren und Dachboden Schlafbereich) schlafen. Es ist ein perfektes Wochenende für Familien oder Gruppen von Freunden zu unterhalten. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal und gemütlich, mit einem Rundumterrasse und die Verwendung eines Speckstein Holzofen während der Wintermonate. Es ist ein teilweise fertig Keller mit einem Großbild-TV und Tischtennis. Zu den weiteren Annehmlichkeiten für Ihren Komfort gehören ein Außengrill, Full-Range-Herd, Mikrowelle, Highspeed-Internet, Waschmaschine, Trockner und Kühlschrank. Die Kabine wurde auf zwei Lose gebaut und Rücken bis zu den grünen Bergen.

Das Clubhaus Angebote gehören Innen- und Außen (saisonal) beheizte Pools, Whirlpool, Tennis, Boccia, Basketball, Hufeisen Grube, Shuffle-Board, Billardtisch, Tischtennisplatte und ein Spielzimmer für die Kinder und Junggebliebene. Es gibt auch ein Lesen und Wohnbereich mit WI-FI. BYOB Bar und Küche mit Blick auf den Innenpool und Whirlpool. Öffnen Sie den Einsatz Grills und Decks mit Tischen im Freien. Natürlich gibt es einen großen Flachbild-TV-Raum (Freitag Abend Filme für die Kinder) und ein Kinderspielzimmer. In den Wintermonaten gibt es eine präparierte Eislaufteich und Erwärmung Hütte (voll mit Second-Hand-Skates verpackt. Die V. A. S. T. Schneemobilwegen können auch direkt von unserem Standort zugegriffen werden! Den Berg hinauf (ca. 5 Fahrminuten), erhalten Sie die Haystack Wanderweg Eingang und eine gut bestückte Forellenteich finden.

Genießen Sie einen ruhigen Spaziergang durch die Innenstadt von Wilmington historischen Dorf mit seiner charmanten Restaurants und Geschäften nur eine Meile entfernt. Kommen Sie den Spaß und Komfort unserer Gemeinschaft bietet. Wir sind 7 Meilen von Mount Snow Ski Resort mit Ski / Snowboard, Skischule / Kindertagesprogramme, Schläuche, szenische Liftfahrten und Mountainbike Downhill. Mount Snow präsentiert auch die "Tough Mudder" und verschiedene saisonale Feste.

Wenn Golfen ist Ihre Wahl, wir sind 1. 5 Meilen zu Hermitage Golf Club at Haystack und 5 Meilen zum Golfplatz und Schul Mt Snow. Tolle Lage für Frühling, Sommer und Herbst Golfen

Sie sind auch in unmittelbarer Entfernung zu Antiquitäten und Outdoor-Flohmärkte; Weinprobe; Wandern in der Green Mountain National Forest; Twin Brooks Snowmobile Tours; Bootfahren / Binnenfischen am Lake Raponda und See Whitingham; Reiten; und Schlittenfahrten an Adams Farm. Wenn Sie ein wenig mehr Zeit haben, wagen sich für einen kurzen Tagesausflug nach Yankee Candle oder Bromley Mountain Ski Resort, ebenfalls mit einer Sommerrodelbahn und Erlebnispark in den Sommermonaten (eine Stunde entfernt). Great Summer Get-Away

We had a perfect extended stay at this great cabin. The generous open floor plan and deck provide a lot of very comfortable living space in a quiet, wooded setting. The kitchen is fully equipped with more than enough nice dinnerware, cookware, utensils and spices, etc. The appliances seemed new. We appreciated the new grill (with backup propane) on the deck and the patio set. Such a pleasant setting. The master bed was very comfortable, and slider provided lots of cool ventilation at night. Our sons gave the other beds a great review also. The bathrooms are clean and surprisingly large. Tons of closet space. The owner was very responsive and communicated promptly and kindly as this was our first VRBO. Can’t write enough good things about this place.!

The BEST log cabin in VT!

We are grateful to have spent another ski season in this beautiful home. It is clean, spacious, comfortable, functional, and set in the perfect location - the list could go on and on. This property has it all, and Marty and Deb are fantastic hosts. We would recommend this cabin to anyone at anytime! It really is perfect.

Beautiful cabin in great location

This cabin is lovely and has everything you need and is in a great location (very close to the little town of Wilmington and hiking trails). It's on a private lot but in a subdivision so you still have privacy without feeling too isolated. We really enjoyed the fireplace / buck stove in the living room and used it every evening (we had to buy our own wood, but that could be because the owners weren't planning for any more visitors this year). The large back deck also has a table and chairs where we drank our coffee and ate a few meals. The kitchen has most everything you need -- we cooked all but one night. And with the cabin's a-frame design, there's so much light, and all of the wood is gorgeous and makes the cabin so cozy. There's also a smart TV in the cozy living room, which we enjoyed! Marty was also very responsive and helpful -- when we first reached out, he wasn't planning to rent the cabin any more for the year but was kind enough to accept our reservation since it was our anniversary! Also, when we arrived and ran water in the kitchen, we discovered the sink was clogged, and Marty got a plumber out there the same day. Finally, my husband and I stupidly left our coats hanging on the hooks by the front door, and Marty is mailing them to us next time he's at the cabin, which is a relief! Just a couple of things to note that aren't clear from the description / pictures -- there isn't a real grill at the property. There's an old electric grill outside, but when you open it there's a small, charcoal camping grill inside of it, which we didn't use. You can also see a mounted TV in the master bathroom in one of the pictures, but that TV isn't currently there (though the mount is still there). We also had to make the beds and distribute the towels, which were with the linens on the bed, but again that's probably because the cleaning staff wasn't preparing for more visitors the last time they serviced the cabin. Other than those couple of things, the cabin was PERFECT, and we had a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

Had a wonderful week long stay at this beautiful mountain cabin. The stars bright, the water crisp and cold, the air just so fresh and clean. My family and I enjoyed eating meals together (a rarity in today's world!) and watching movies from the smart TV (with high-speed internet), all while having a roaring fire going in the large wood burning stove. The cabin is in a quaint little town by a reservoir, and just an hour or two away from a variety of activities. My father and mother-in-law enjoyed the upstairs master suite, with balcony and private bathroom. I enjoyed the queen sized bed, and my sister had the option of sleeping on one of 4 different bunk beds in the third bedroom. There was also a delightful loft overlooking the living room. The only downside was that COVID had closed the community center, which was a shame as we had wanted to specifically make use of those facilities (indoor pool, hot-tub, movie room). Last but not least my mother-in-law and sister had a blast trying to find all of the chickens!

Amazing Secluded Cabin

We loved our stay early October 2020 at Marty and family's cosy cabin in Vermont. It was our get away from the city for the first time in 2020. It was completely beyond and over our expectations. The layout of the cabin is very well done. The set up in the living room and kitchen was really cosy and comfortable. And needless to say that the fall color, all around, was amazing. We felt at home right away. I loved cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. We loved it so much that we even inquired if we could extend our stay. But, of course, it was booked up. It truly was a the best thing that happened to us in 2020, the crazy time that we are all living in! We will definitely return one day soon. Thank you so much Marty & family for letting us stay in your cute and warm cabin that helped us rejuvenate our spirit and energy.

A log home to fall in love with

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house that makes you feel in the middle of the woods while enjoying the town proximity and all the comfort and advantages a city offers. Thanks to the oversized windows, sitting in the cozy living room gives you the feeling of being outside surrounded by nature. There is so much to do and see around Wilmington that my husband and I did not have enough time after almost two weeks. Marty is a great host, friendly and always available to advise when needed. Great house for large groups

We had a great experience staying in this rental. It was very clean, accomodated 9 comfortably, and provided all the extras needed. The owner was extremely responsive to all inquiries before, during, and after our stay. He even went above and beyond to mail our daughters stuffed animal she left behind. Highly recommend!

Great home & location - highly recommend A++++

We had a great time at this house and the city of Wilmington is perfect for anyone that wants to escape the fast pace of city life. This was our first time at this house and Marty is an A+ host - easy to communicate with & very responsive. "We" includes 3 adults and 2 children (8 & 5). The house was super clean, very accommodating with plenty of space, comfortable amenities, kitchen and bathrooms were clean and recently updated, plenty of beds, excellent wifi, new smart TV, spacious deck to hang out, washer /dryer, etc. You will definitely be comfortable in this home as soon as you walk in. We used the community pool several times during the week, spent a few days on the lake (5 min drive) where we went swimming, had picnics, and rented canoes. The kids loved it! Supermarket (Shaw's) in town (7 min drive) has everything you need for the house. We ate at Wahoo's in town on 2 occassions - great burgers and ice cream :-) We also went for daily walks on the roads leading up to the house to get some fresh air. If you are looking to get away for the week and want to slow down and relax, this is a perfect house and destination. We (including the kids) highly recommend and will be coming back in the future.

Great place to get away!

Our group of three adults had a really great stay at Marty’s property- it had comfortable beds, plenty of space for us to stay in on rainy days, and a fully stocked kitchen. It was also amazing how there were nearly no bugs so we could sit outside and keep the doors open. Our only issue— the listing said it had a grill and when we pulled up we saw a large gas grill so we went shopping and bought a ton of food. When we opened it that night, we discovered a tiny charcoal camping grill inside which was very time consuming to use! Had we known we would have just planned differently, but other than that our stay was perfect!

Cozy and comfy in the woods

Our family of five was comfortable in the Hodge Podge Lodge: comfy beds, everything we needed in the kitchen, and a cozy family-friendly floor plan. Our summer visit had lovely morning light - and wildlife sightings from the deck. The owner, Marty, was friendly and accommodating and easy-enough to communicate with. Do check with him about garbage collection - we had some issues and Marty offered easy and helpful solutions.

Absolutely LOVE this house

My family and I had the pleasure of spending another ski season in this beautiful log cabin. It was our third year in a row for good reason--everything about this house is perfect! The décor is warm and inviting; the furniture is comfortable; and the open concept of the kitchen, living room, and dining room is as lovely as it is functional. In addition, the home's proximity to Mt. Snow and historic downtown Wilmington is excellent.

A Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

The cabin was perfect. Modern comfort with a lot of rustic charm. It had everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. The wood stove keeps the place cozy and warm, and the four of us were able to unplug and connect as a family. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are new and sparkling clean. We've already recommended it to friends and family.

Beautiful Home, Prime location, Great Experience

We were thrilled to be able to spend the entire 2018/2019 ski season in this beautiful log cabin. Having loved it so much from our stay the year before, there was no reason to look for anything else! Everything about this home is perfect--open concept floorplan, plenty of space to accommodate friends and family, comfortable and well-appointed furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, close proximity to Mt. Snow, the list goes on and on. This home is absolutely wonderful and an ideal choice for anyone looking for a rental in the area.

Great place to stay in Vermont!

We had a great time staying in Wilmington at this cabin in the woods. The house was very clean and well maintained, and was the perfect place for our family to stay. The location is great, with the house at the end of a dead-end road, really surrounded by woods. From the house, you feel entirely surrounded by woods, and basically cannot see any other houses or the road. Yet the house is a very short drive into Wilmington and several restaurants and stores and just a 6 minute drive to the clubhouse with pools that were great for the kids. Everything in the house was as listed and as indicated in the pictures and listing. It was a very comfortable place to stay. When a minor issue arose (the propane tank for the grill ran out) the owner responded immediately and was very helpful to see that the issue was addressed, and he reimbursed us for the cost of the propane refill. All in all we had a wonderful weekend stay, and the house was great. I would definitely look to stay here again when we return to the area.

Wonderful Log Cabin Vacation in Vermont!

My family and I stayed at the log cabin July 4th week 2018. We had an amazing time! The log cabin was exactly how the pictures showed it. It had everything you needed and more. It really made you feel like you where alone in the mountains but really you were very close to down town Wilmington and Mt Snow as well. We had a great week visiting family and uniting all the young cousins back together! Having the pool and club house was amazing especially because it was in the 90 the whole week. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a relaxed vacation away from the crazy city life or wherever you live!

The most wonderful experience!

We spent the entire 2017/2018 ski season in this beautiful, perfectly situated, and comfortable log cabin. We felt right at home! It was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of space to accommodate friends and family who stayed with us during various weekends and holidays. The home is impeccable--clean, bright, and airy. The home really works very well for an active family. We loved the open concept of the living space and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals--well kept appliances, tons of dishes, glasses, utensils, mugs, cookware, etc. The washer/dryer on the main level made doing laundry very easy. We also really enjoyed having the basement--complete with ping pong table, dart board, and huge flat screen TV which was a treat for our boys. The owners were wonderful and very easy to work with from the very beginning. We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a rental in the area.

This property was purchased as a present to my new Yankee wife. She wanted a place that she could come back to reflect on her New England upbringing. It was a perfect gift since we moved to Atlanta and then Texas. We did not rent the place out much since it was "her house" but later thought other people would enjoy it also. She put her own decorating touch on it and we continue to visit once a year, hoping that upon retirement we will stay forever. So enjoy it while you can because soon it will become home again.
