Wonderful short stay at this beautiful cottage!

We had a wonderful short stay at this beautiful cottage! The attention to detail throughout the property is excellent. The location is fantastic, especially for our dog, with the beach just a short walk away and a lovely, easy walk into Filey. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. Communication with the host was excellent – Nigel was incredibly responsive and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely cottage, lovely resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Beachcomber cottage. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a home-from-home break. Would be even better in the summer when you can use the outdoor space and bbq. The resort is really lovely too - very clean and a very short stroll down to the beach. The dog friendly pub on site worked really well for us for evening meals. It was very busy even in February so I would imagine booking would be essential during peak season. The owner was readily available to answer any questions also. Highly recommend the cote.

Great place

Property was as described and easily accessible. It was equipped with everything you would need for a a short stay and the facilities are fantastic especially the pool and gym. Communication and information provided by Nigel was great and will definitely stay here again.

Great comfortable stay

This property is exactly as described. We have used it more than once now and everytime it’s very clean and well kept. It’s also very warm and cosy. Our most recent stay was very wet and windy and we were glad of the coziness. We would recommend again and again. The owner is quick to respond to questions and the process is very simple. Lovely properpty in great location

The accommodation was perfect for what we needed. It felt spacious and was in a great location, just 15-20 minute walk to the beach. The only drawback was not being able to checkin until 4pm and having to check out by 10am

Fabulous stay

We had a lovely week at Beachcomber Cottage. Nice and spacious with everything we needed. Plenty of plates, cutlery etc and things to cook with. Liked the fact there were parking spaces right next to the house. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Location of the house on the estate is good, not far to pool, playground and pub.

Perfect seaside stay for a family of 4

Lovely holiday home on a quiet, well maintained complex. We had a relaxing stay and it had all the essentisls needed for a family stay with young children. A couple of extra things to note if travelling with young children: No blinds in bedrooms (but we always prepare for this and we took a blackout travel blind with us for the room where kids slept). No bedguard for the single bed (there was a gap between bed and wall which a child could slip down) but again we brought with us a bedguard incase of this, which worked well. No childrens plates/ bowls/ cutlery so you would need to bring some with you. Plenty of storage room in bedrooms and a nice open-plan downstairs area leading on to a grassed area. Could do with a touch-up on some paint work on stairwell and zips on sofa cushions broken (minor things to sort in order to add attention to detail but it didn't bother us). Shower was not very powerful, didn’t seem to have a pump, but water was hot. Could do with a couple of champagne glasses too., just incase of celebration fizz! It takes about a 15 min leisurely stroll to beautiful beach and there is some facilities on-site if want to use. Really good value for money and we will definitely be back to stay again. guard for the single bed for our toddler

Lovely property

The property as everything you need from appliances to children's toys, perfect location like a home from home. The only downside was the cleanliness wasn't how it normally is e.g dishwasher was still full from previous guests, dog hairs on sofas and on living room floor didn't really want to get hoover and start cleaning on day one of my stay.

Enjoyable stay

This is our second visit to the property- it is modern, clean and has the things that make staying that bit easier- dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. We had our grandchildren with us and although we didn’t use the pool or other facilities on the complex this time, the kids enjoyed riding their bikes around. We like the fact that the beach is just a short walk away at the rear of the complex, so easy to make the most of any decent weather when it comes along. A good base for visits to Brid, Scarborough and Filey. We will almost certainly booked again next year.

We live in Derbyshire with our two teenage sons and our cairn terrier. Our cairn terrier loves the beach and wildflower meadow walks, our sons love the gym, the pool and the many other activities on The Bay and we enjoy the fact that everyone else is having a great time.
We enjoy the BBQ in the evening and the boules pitch is a great way of making new friends.

You will not be short of things to do if you are looking for an active break; choose from cycling, golf, fishing, archery. tennis, kayaking, swimming, gym and more. Then relax over a game of pool in the John Paul Jones Pub.
If you prefer a more relaxed break, after a stroll along the beach, pamper yourself in the onsite leisure complex sauna and beauty room before a friendly game of boules and slow bar-be-que back at the cottage.
