Das moderne Carriage House bietet Platz für vier Personen. Es gibt ein Queen-Bett im Master und zwei Singles im zweiten Schlafzimmer. Eine voll ausgestattete Edelstahlküche ist bereit für Gourmetgerichte mit frischem Obst und Gemüse aus BC, das auf den Bauernmärkten gekauft oder direkt vom Fischerboot gekauft wurde. Ein Holzofen im Wohnraum lädt zum gemütlichen Verweilen bis in die Abendstunden bei einem Glas Wein oder einem guten Buch ein. Ein überdachter Balkon mit Blick auf das schöne Anwesen ist der perfekte Ort für Ihren Morgenkaffee und Ihren Abendcocktail. Wenn Sie auf dem Deck unten am Teich sitzen, können Sie eine Fülle von Wildtieren beobachten. Rehe, Fische, Blaureiher, Weißkopfseeadler, Nerze und zahlreiche Federfreunde wurden schon oft gesichtet. Zu bestimmten Jahreszeiten lädt der Teich zum Schwimmen ein. Wenn Sie eine anspruchsvolle Wanderung unternehmen möchten, befindet sich die Unterkunft in einem üppigen, ungestörten Waldgebiet mit einem wunderschönen Bach. Möglicherweise können Sie die kurze Wanderung den Bach hinauf bis zum kleinen Wasserfall machen, aber Sie werden nass.

Besser geht es kaum

Das Haus liegt auf einem großen Grundstück etwas außerhalb von Mill Bay, etwa 35 Minuten von Victoria. Es war ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in der Region (Cowichan Bay, Shawnigan Lake, Victoria etc.). Die Wohnung ist wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr, sehr sauber, wirklich vorbildlich. Es fehlt nichts, Handtücher, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Trockner - alles da. Tara und Jamie sind sehr nette Gastgeber und gaben uns das Gefühl, in der Tat willkommen zu sein. Wenn wir nach Vancouver Island zurückkehren, dann hierher.

Wonderful vacation - Wonderful home

We found the house to be a 'home away from home' and could not have picked a better place for our first visit to Vancouver Island. Being situated about 30 minutes from Victoria, Mill Bay is an ideal starting point to various activities in the area. The apartment is wonderfully furnished and decorated. It is very very clean and leaves really nothing to be desired. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, it is all there, we missed nothing. We will miss looking out of the kitchen window to see the horses on the pasture. Deer come around as well. Tara and Jamie (and the family) are wonderful and friendly hosts and make it easy for one to feel welcomed. If we ever come back to Vancouver Island, we will make sure to stay here. Thanks for everything.

We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cedar Hollows. Felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We were travelling with our toddler (3) and baby (8months), and it was perfect for us! Tara was ways quick to respond and a fantastic host. The property is beautiful and our toddler loved watching the goats and having a wander around the pond every day. Kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed and super cozy beds. 100% recommend!!

Cozy and clean

This location was central to all the sites we were interested in. Lots of deer nosing about. Property was clean and nicely appointed. Owners were very approachable and always helpful. The layout was spacious. Plus, BC folks are very friendly!

great place to stay

Very private and well stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful hosts. The property is quite large and very well maintained, the hosts accommodated EV charging at no extra costs. The property is in a farm setting yet the air is very clean with no bugs at all or extra noises. Thank you for the hospitality, will come back.

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting and location

We absolutely loved the apartment-beautifully decorated and warm and comfortable. The setting is beautiful-complete with a lovely pond. We woke up one morning to deer just outside the window! Tara is wonderful! We would come back in a heartbeat.

A true oasis. Great property and great hosts.

Inside, the flat is modern, very comfortable and well appointed. Outside is a serene environment, perfect for strolls by the pond or to visit with the goats. The balcony, overlooking the garden and forest, is a perfect place to relax.

Excellent Place!

This place was excellent! The lodging was comfortable and felt like home away from home. The location is great as it’s out of the city but close enough to most locations on mid and South Island. The owners were great and the property is lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The perfect starting point for daily tours in Cowichan area

Everything perfect: Friendly and helpful hosts, living on the same ground, many cute animals horse, sheep, goats and even wild- living deer with fawns strolling cross the lawn! Very nice and clean little house, perfect for two to four. Kitchen fully equipped, modern and complete! Nice comfortable beds and in the evening qiuet surrounding.

A perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

We found Cedar Hollow to be very charming and comfortable with everything we needed. The property was lovely and made for a very relaxed holiday. It was easy to find our way around and would love to visit again. We also want to thank Jamie for his recommendation on whale watching. We went to Ocean Ecoventure In Cowichan Bay and had a wonderful experience with a captain that was very knowledgeable who made it fun and educational.

Great spot, perfect for our family of 4!

Cedar Hollow was such a fantastic spot for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) while we were in the Victoria/Cowichan area. The house was exactly as described and it was great to have a full kitchen, good sized bedrooms and a nice sitting area. We went all over the place in our 5 days in the area and everything was really easy to get to because of the location of the house - Victoria, Sooke, Langford, Cowichan, Salt Spring, etc...nothing was too far away. If we are ever back on the island and in the area, Cedar Hollow will definitely be our go to spot to stay!

Perfect escape from the city.

My family and I stayed in the Carriage house while attending a weeks worth of family wedding events in Saanich and Victoria. Although we were about 30-40 minutes away from our events, it was well worth the drive. The cottage was a perfect getaway from the busyness of Victoria and gave us something to look forward to at the end of our busy, wedding event filled days. The views were outstanding including thick woods, flowers, deer, horses and goats. The owners of the home did not engage with us unless we sought them out which made the rental feel even more private. The house was cool despite the hot summer climate and the deck was, by far, my favorite place to be; in the morning with my coffee and in the evening with my glass of wine. We will certainly consider this location again when we return to Canada.

Cosy carriage house on a lovely property

Our family really enjoyed staying at the carriage house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully functioned for breakfast and dinners. It was nice to be able to wash our laundry before we left. Beautiful property. We saw deer in the yard every day we were there. And would enjoy a nightly coffee on the balcony. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Only downfall for us was the TV has very little channels. Which wasn't bad for us, but for our young daughter when we were cooking supper it would have been nice. Overall a nice property and Tara and Jaimie were great to deal with.

Fantastic!

My family of 4 (2 kids 11 & 9 yrs old) & I had a wonderful stay. The carriage house was comfortable, well equipped & impeccably clean. Tara & Jamie were friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. My boys enjoyed checking out the goats & horses & the freedom to check out this beautiful rural property. We enjoyed visiting a few of the local wineries & lakes. We would highly recommend staying at this property & to anyone who asked.

We relocated from Saskatchewan to the island just this past summer. We moved for our love of the great outdoors, oceans, forests, wildlife, and yes of course the mild winter climate, which was the last nudge that we needed. We purchased this property with the idea of sharing this beautiful Home and Island experience with others from all over the world. We sincerely hope that you love it as much as we do.

We are centrally located between Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake only 3.1 km in either direction . If you look at the picture that was provided from the air you will notice the lush and pleantyiful forest all around us and the ocean on one side and the lake on the other all within 5 mins from the house.
