This house & pictures are misrepresented. Part of this house is actually the office, which is not accessible space; it looks like entire house is for rent in the picture provided. .the phone rings all through the night & can be heard throughout the house. The dust & dirt was terrible (I took pictures & contacted the owner, no response ...lamp shades & fixtures covered with dust, baseboards filthy, shelving to put food on..filthy (mouse turds on the bottom shelf), fridge was dirty, not small kid friendly...had to move all chemicals from under sinks...2nd level misrepresented...you either have to use stairs outside the house to access the 2nd floor, which do not have railings to protect kids, or inside climb up a small ladder about 15" wide & through a trap door to access the upstairs, which was very outdated & in bad shape...Many holes in the walls, stuff smeared on the walls, the mirror in upstairs bathroom cracked. There was only 1 little tiny bar of soap in the whole house to be used...had to buy soap at the store in town. I cleaned the shelves we put our food on, cleaned & wiped out the fridge, but not the freezer bottom part, which also was dirty. there was even dust on the kitchen towel & the towel holder it was on. Awful. The place is up for sale, so I guess the owner doesn't care too much about how it looks. The property manager got irritated with us, because we asked him to vacuum the upstairs (rugs still had visible stuff on them), we helped to move the chemicals from under the sinks & asked him to remove the 3 refrigerator shelves of leftover condiments other people had left in there. (the closest grocery store is 21 miles away, so we brought all the food we needed for 9 people for a week & needed all the fridge space). The fire extinguishers in laundry room, one said "recharge" on it, & both had not been serviced since 1999. When I told the property manager, all he said was "well, I'm not surprised!" ..no offer to provide fire extinguishers that worked. None of the remotes for the TV;s worked, even after I went the next day to the property manager's home & got new batteries. I would look elsewhere. The playground was nice though, & it had a nice horseshoe pit in the common area. The property manager even said to me, "if you don't like it here, I will gladly refund your money, but you won't be able to find anywhere else around here for _____ dollars a night". That's true, but where would we find a place for 9 people at a spur of the moment?
