Dieses nette Ferienhaus wurde kürzlich renoviert und befindet sich auf einem extra großen Grundstück im Herzen von Port Royal. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein großes bequemes Doppelbett, während das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein schönes französisches Bett. Ein Ausziehsofa zur Verfügung steht, wie gut. Es gibt eine große Waschküche / Schlamm Zimmer und einen privaten Achterdeck, um Ihren Morgenkaffee oder Grill einige lokale Meeresfrüchte zu genießen. Der Strand ist zu Fuß erreichbar, ebenso wie Restaurants und Geschäfte. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Minuten von Parris Island, Fraueninsel und der Innenstadt von Beaufort.

Felt like home

The listing and communication with Margaret was transparent and accurate from the start. The house was cosy and equipped as the listing described. Port Royal is a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of dog friendly areas and paths. We had a wonderful time

So Nostalgic

When we walked in the door, we felt as if we were back at our grandparents’ homes in the good old days! It is the low country style we remember and love- only with much better beds and linens! The location is absolutely perfect! We were quite comfortable and content. While I didn’t do any cooking, I certainly felt that the home was adequately equipped if one chose to prepare a simple meal. We will definitely stay here again!

The Chaplin House

I am the granddaughter of Saxby Stowe Chaplin and Margurite Chaplin of Port Royal and Callawassee Island in South Carolina. It was my 58th anniversary and we chose to stay in my grandmothers house which we accidently found on VRBO. To my dismay, it had been sold twice since my grandmother passed. What's done is done. to those looking for a cute place to stay, this would be it. The new owners have fixed it up quite cute. It was very clean and has all the comforts of home. My great grandfather and grandmother, the parents of Margurite, were the last survivors of Callawassee Island. Thus the book, which probably is in the local bookstore or on line. Their names are William and Rebecca Vaigneur. After leaving Callawassee, the settled in Port Royal. They built my grandmothers house and theirs. One on the corner from the other. In this house. my grandparents raised 7 children. The oldest being my mother Ruth. I once lived there as a child. I am now 79 years old. The warmth and love and kindness in this house was none other. My family was musical as well. so many times the banjo was brought out along with guitars and steel guitars. Such laughter consumed us. There are many stories but they can't be in this space. If you want a warm and friendly place to stay, please visit my grandmothers house and feel the history. I recommend it highly. Yours Truly, Diane Skovran

Enjoyable stay

The property is on a nice quiet street .It is an older property that needs maintenance and renovation, particularly the bathroom. We had an issue with water pressure but the owners quickly got it sorted .The owners have confirmed that they are doing some renovations in the very near future which hopefully will bring it back to 5 star . All surfaces were clean but attention needs to be paid to outside furniture, fans etc . Overall we had a pleasant stay and the property is very central to visit many great places .

Wonderful long term stay!

We had the pleasure of renting from March 1st. till April 5th. We absolutely loved this cozy place in a wonderful area. We love all the beautiful live oaks in the neighborhood. Very quiet and peaceful with a lot of places to walk to. The Rookery was amazing, especially in the evening when all the birds are back at their roosts.

Convenient and comfortable lodging

Thus modest sized cottage is very inviting, a warm and welcoming homey feel. Clean house with very comfy beds. It is in a safe quite neighborhood close to everything but not directly in sight. My son and I stayed there for my grandson's graduation from Parris Island Marine Base. The base is a 10 minute drive to the gate. I would recommend this place. The owner is very easy to reach, and is attentive to any questions and concerns

My wife and I loved our time in Port Royal. The cottage was in a great location that was convenient yet still peaceful and quiet. There is always something to do around town and many places to see. We would love to stay there again

Comfy clean beds

Easy to access, house was very nice and charming. Clean and had all we needed in kitchen to cook. Plenty of clean towels and blankets. All beds and linens smelled so fresh and clean. I slept very well the mattresses felt great not to soft not to firm and nice comfy clean pillows. Thank you!

Great location

The cottage was great for our family of five. There was ample space, linens, and kitchen supplies. Checking in and out was simple. The location was about 30 minutes to Hunting Island and ten minutes to Parris Island. It made exploring the area so easy! We also enjoyed walking to the Cypress Wetlands!

Rob and I have been in Beaufort since 1998. We have three children - 2 boys in college and one girl who is in high school. I am from Hopkinsville, KY and graduated from the University of KY - GO CATS! Rob is from the Myrtle Beach area and graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He was an airline pilot for 22 years and now owns a commercial landscaping business. We manage several long term rental properties. This cottage is our first attempt at a short term, furnished rental. We have tried to make it comfortable and functional. If you have any suggestions for us on how to improve it, please feel free to let us know.

We love the town of Port Royal with its unique shops and restaurants. We bought this house with VRBO in mind. It was in need of a lot of TLC. We did most of the work ourselves and truly loved how it turned out.
