Sieben spaßige, umweltfreundliche Jurten und zwei winzige Häuser bringen Sie der Natur so nahe wie Camping und bieten alle Annehmlichkeiten von zu Hause. Das Acadia Yurts befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen, bewaldeten Grundstück inmitten des Acadia-Nationalparks und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort für Ihre Gruppe (bis zu 4 Gäste pro 24 'Jurte, 6 Gäste für die 30' Jurte oder 2 Gäste pro Tiny House). Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. Dies ist ein unvergesslicher Ort, um die Schönheit von Acadia zu genießen!

Fantastic property!

Great experience at Acadia Yurt. The yurt itself was very clean and well-appointed with a full kitchen. Lots of space and extra amenities including an on-property washer/dryer. Close to town and easy access to the island as well as Acadia National Park.

Truly Awesome

We are NOT camping people. This property was so wonderful that we got the full benefits of camping, while still retaining all the comforts of home. We actually used the word “home” a lot told refer to our yurt. The other thing we kept noting throughout our stay was how “thoughtful” every detail was. This place is high quality and truly awesome.

Birthday trip

We stayed at Acadia Yurts, celebrating my 61st Birthday. We were greeted with a celebratory Birthday sign and bubbles. Loved that extra, personal touch. The Yurt had everything we needed and more! It was so cozy, clean and comfortable! The location was perfect to explore Acadia. The owners were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Definitely will be staying again. Highly recommend.

Acadia Yurts Maine Getaway

We loved staying at Acadia Yurts. Close proximity to many great restaurants and not too far of a drive to the national park or Bar Harbor, a little over 20 minutes. Property owners are very engaging, helpful and great at communicating with guests. The yurt has everything you could need, clean and comfortable. Situated in and around nature. A beautiful location, we would definitely return in the future.

Wonderful experience

We go to Acadia every 5 or so years. It’s beautiful. This stay was by far our most unique. We had a group of multiple families and it was absolutely perfect. The yurts are comfortable, well stocked, and clean. The grounds are lovely. The owners were easy to reach and communication was excellent. I keep telling friends and family to consider this the next time they go to Acadia.

Über den Gastgeber

Zu Gast bei Karen Roper

Aaron is an Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 15+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist (pending availability) and offers services onsite.

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home- running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We deeply hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!!
