Whale Watch Beach Retreat - erstaunliche privaten Strand! Genießen Sie die beeindruckende Aussicht auf die Haro Strait mit Vancouver Island im hinteren Teil des Whirlpools im Freien oder auf einem der drei großen Decks.

Dies ist eine großartige Eigenschaft die Wale vorbeiziehen zu sehen oder Ihren eigenen privaten Kajak zu starten. Diese Eigenschaft ist nichts weniger als perfekt. Mit seinem Privatstrand, geräumigen grasbewachsenen Hof und Medienraum werden Sie hier nicht von Tätigkeiten auszuführen. Die Gourmet-Küche ist komplett ausgestattet und grenzt an den Essbereich, so dass Ihre Gäste bei der Zubereitung eines köstlichen Essens mitmachen können.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer umfasst die gesamte dritte Etage und verfügt über eine eigene Sitzecke mit elektrischen Kamin. Das Master-Bad ist zum Schlafzimmer offen, so dass Sie immer noch den weiten Blick genießen können. Die anderen beiden Schlafzimmer sind im Erdgeschoss auf beiden Seiten der Eintrag Flur und ein Bad auch in diesem Flur teilen. Eines der Schlafzimmer hat auch ein gemütliches Tagesbett.

Auf der Wasserseite des Hauses ist ein weiterer Loungebereich mit sehr bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten und einem atemberaubenden Blick auf Haro Strait und Vancouver Island. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Zedernweinkeller (Bring Your Own Wine) mit einem hippen Probiertisch für zwei Personen.

Die Media-Raum verfügt über einen großen Flachbild-Fernseher für die Satelliten-TV oder eine der vielen Blueray DVDs zu sehen, die bereitgestellt werden. Das Media-Raum hat auch eine ausziehbare Couch, Küche und ein eigenes Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche. WLAN ist im gesamten Haus verfügbar und alle Ebenen haben draußen sitzen auf der Terrasse den Sonnenuntergang hier auf San Juan Island Westseite zu genießen. Gorgeous views!

We had a lovely stay. The home was so comfortable, and a perfect layout for our family - we have two kids in the downstairs bedrooms and the upstairs bedroom was a fantastic retreat for us! The bed up there was so comfortable, I usually don't notice that one way or another, but it really stood out. The hot tub had an amazing view and was easy to use and access right from the main level. The private beach was a treat, the kids loved throwing rocks in the water and exploring. Great yard too, lots of room to play both inside and outside. Top notch place!

Fantastic house in ideal location

House is perfectly situated on a quiet, beautiful road overlooking the water! House is clean, spacious, bright, and was perfect for our trip! Convenient, central location on the island makes everything a short and easy drive! Booking, check-in, and check-out were all simple, with quick and clear communication start to finish. The whole experience was even better than expected!

Incredible house

House was great. Clean, comfortable beds, spacious. Decks, beach, grounds were perfect for playing or enjoying the views. We saw whales everyday and views were even better in person.

Peaceful stay in perfect location

First visit to SJI, purposefully to see orcas - as part of my parents 50th anniversary trip. We saw orcas every day for the 4 days, twice off the deck here! Plenty of space for all to get comfortable. Kitchen worked well for us cooking most meals at home. So quiet comfortable and clean. I would recommend a stay here. My only critique is we didn’t find the beds to be to our liking, we’re used to a softer mattress.

Unbelievable spot

Absolutely loved our stay. I watched bald eagles every morning at sunrise, seals everyday at low tide, otters at play multiple times a day and even a pod of orcas once- all from the deck. Easy drive to restaurants and parks. The house has everything you need and was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We will be back

PNW Island Paradise!

We are an active group of 5 who booked this house to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. It did not disappoint! Plenty of space for everyone and then some. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed having the private beach. The house location was a quick drive to Roche Harbor as well as Friday Harbor. We found it to be conveniently located. We would definitely recommend this house to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So we stayed here at the end of Sept. for 5 nights. We caught perfect weather and beautiful sunsets. The location on Smugglers Cove is outstanding! All of us kept our eyes on the water continously to spot Orcas, which we did see.Now to the house. The property needs a refresh. The carpets are bunched up in places. Some of the furniture is well worn and the house itself needs some maintenance like paint and some deck boards replaced. Also the electronics need some attention with missing components and a broken DVD player.But, I guess we were paying for location which this property has in spades!

Too bad about the blinds

When you pay a lot of money every night for a vacation rental, you expect there to be decent light blocking in the bedrooms. Otherwise, as soon as the sun rises you're waking up probably earlier than you want to be. Unfortunately this place, the master bedroom had windows without coverings. And even the windows that did have coverings, the coverings were extremely translucent and ineffective at what you expect them to do, block light from coming in. The other bedroom suffered from the same problem, the blinds are useless when they are letting light in. I notify the property but they pretty much just ignored me. Also, whatever remodel happened to this place was a complete train wreck! You can't even sit down on the toilet in the master bathroom without banging your head on the cupboard behind you

Incredible getaway!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a post-holiday getaway/birthday weekend at Whale Watch Beach Retreat and it was absolutely incredible. We couldn't get over the view, it is SPECTACULAR!! Breath-taking, entertaining, and changed every day based on weather. You see Canada, the Olympic Mountains, tons of birds, seals every day, we swear we saw a whale, and so many bald eagles. The house is immaculate, furniture and appliances in perfect condition. The rooms were a nice size and the kitchen is huge and very well appointed, we love to cook and always bring some knives and utensils but this time it wasn't needed! The house is covered with nice soft carpet but no shoes are allowed inside so bring some house shoes. Everything was VERY clean when we arrived. Beds were super comfy too! We loved checking the tide pools every day at low tide. The hot tub was also a hit, super clean and in great working order, overlooking the water and mountains. The yard is also gorgeous, pristine grass with plenty of birds and even a few deer. There were outdoor games like croquet and badmitten to play. We used a kayak too–they are in a shed by the beach and are in perfect shape. Fun to see the seal from the water! We took hikes at English Camp and Lime Kiln Park, got oysters at Westcott Bay, and meandered around the island roads looking at the farms. Everything was within 10-15 minutes of the house. We really lucked out with January weather, it rained in the morning/at night but was sunny and lovely during the days. It was the perfect place to go during covid, we barely saw anyone! Only recommendations: 1. Bring a Brita pitcher or some bottled water to drink, even out of the fridge filter the well water is not tasty. 2. The house needs a large door mat at the back/living room door to the deck. There's a very small area to remove shoes and no where to wipe them off. The management company is clearly excellent. I cried because we didn't want to leave!

Reviewer Comments: This house made our vacation so unforgettable. The pictures don't show how amazing or perfect the views are. From the moment you hit the harbor and drive the winding roads to the home, it is like stepping into paradise. When you pull into the property, the view is stunning. The house is clean and very comfortable. We had one rainy and cold day and were so content to stay at the house and have a cozy day inside. It has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The hot tub was super clean and just the right temp. If we ever have the chance to return to San Juan, we would have to stay here or it just wouldn't compare. Do yourself a favor and book this house!!! As a side note, the property management team was spectacular. So friendly and easy to work with. They even helped us with restaurants and suggestions of things to do on the island. Seriously, it was the perfect vacation!
