Das Cottage on the Stream befindet sich am Ende der Old Bridge Road inmitten hoher Kiefern, neben dem Bach mit Blick auf eine Wiese. Wie süß ist das? Abgeschieden im Wald, keine Hauptstraße mit Verkehr oder Verkehrsgeräuschen, haben Sie die Illusion, weit, weit weg zu sein.

Die Wiese und Eigentum ist groß genug, um die Kinder herumlaufen draußen und spielen zu lassen. Bringen Sie Ihren gut erzogenen Hundebegleiter * mit, und jeder kann einen großartigen Spieltag miteinander verbringen.

Das Cottage ist eine komfortable Unterkunft mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, Schlafmöglichkeiten und Platz für die größten Familien. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über zwei neue La-Z-Boy Macht Leder-Liegen sowie ein sehr bequemes Ledersofa und eine Couch aus den 60er Jahren, die jeder liebt. Der holzbefeuerte, supereffiziente Kamin bietet Wärme, Anblick, Geräusche und Gerüche ohne die Arbeit eines offenen Kamins. Super einfach, um dein Feuer zu entzünden und dann weiterzumachen.

Die Küche ist klein aber fein. Das Küchenfenster bietet einen direkten Blick auf den Bach. An mehreren Tischen können Kinder- und Erwachsenentische, Tische im Freien und Geländer aufgestellt werden. Kaffeemaschine, Zitruspresse, Herdplatte für Blueberry Pancakes, Mixer, Topftopf, Töpfe und Pfannen, Geschirr ist vorhanden. (Pappteller auch). Gewürze und Vorratsbehälter sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Das Familienzimmer verfügt über ein Ausziehbett sowie ein Schlafsofa und ist ein großartiger Ort, um einen Film unter den Kuscheln zu sehen. Ein Tisch zum Essen oder Spielen sowie ein Schrank mit Büchern, Filmen, Rätseln und Spielen sorgen für Unterhaltung. Viele Fenster lassen Tageslicht herein, sodass Sie das Gefühl haben, im Freien zu leben, und die Hintertür führt direkt zum Redwood-Deck.

Oben ist unglaublich. Der gesamte Bereich ist Schlafplätzen gewidmet. Die Königin Raum hat ein französisches Bett natürlich und ein Fenster, das den Strom und ermöglicht die Geräusche des Stroms Sie in dem Schlaf zu wiegen überblickt. Der mittlere Abschnitt ist liebt die Schlafzimmer der sechs Zwerge genannt. Sechs Einzelbetten sind so angeordnet, dass Kinder und nicht so kleine Kinder nah genug sein können, um Mitternachtsflüstern zu widerstehen, aber nicht so nah, dass sie eng werden. Das King Den verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, einen Schaukelstuhl am Fenster und ein Babybett, falls erforderlich. Zwei Fenster bringen die Morgensonne, den Nachtmond und die Geräusche des Baches herein. Wenn Sie aufstehen, schauen Sie auf die Wiese und wundern Sie sich nicht, wenn Sie Rehe, Truthähne und Eichhörnchen sehen und wenn Sie Glück haben, den kleinen roten Fuchs, der in der Nähe lebt.
Das neue Redwood-Deck mit der für das Essen vorgesehenen oberen Schiene sowie den Tischen und Stühlen bietet allen Platz zum gemeinsamen Essen oder zum Bummeln. Es gibt eine kleine Brücke zum Überqueren des Baches und einen umgestürzten Baum, der Sie dazu einlädt, über den Bach zu gehen oder in der Mitte zu sitzen und nachzudenken.

Das Cottage ist nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und Sundance Resort, die Skipisten, das Spa, Restaurants und die Abendunterhaltung in der Owl Bar sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Eine Liste laufender und aktueller Veranstaltungen im Sundance wird bereitgestellt, um Ihren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Man muss den Berg wirklich nie verlassen. Wenn Sie jedoch den besten Schnee der Welt lieben und die anderen Skigebiete besuchen möchten, sind Sie 45 Minuten von Park City, Deer Valley und The Canyons und 60 Minuten von Alta, Snow Bird, Brighton und Solitude entfernt.

Cottage on the Stream

This was an awesome place for quick getaway from Vegas. The house had everything we needed. The patio on the stream was exactly the place to relax watching the colorful birds and turkeys. We will definitely be back.

Just OK – not great

The property looks MUCH nicer in the online photos than in person, but that is often the case. But the cabin felt very cramped, and there were only three of us. My two boys are tall - 6'2" and 6'4inches, and they felt almost claustrophobic– especially upstairs, where the roof slopes steeply and gives little headroom. The cabinet is very dark inside and it's hard to see well, even with all the lights on. The stove cooks very unevenly. I know this because we brought up some very expensive grass fed steaks to cook, and I pan fried them. The stove burners cooked so unevenly that it actually ruined our steaks (and I'm a good cook)! The one bathroom is very small-especially the shower! My tall boys had a hard time even fitting inside the shower. The DVD player was broken, the games that were there all had missing cards and pieces and we're in playable, and there was no TV service. We even tried texting the owner about the TV service, but never heard back. Overall, a rather disappointing experience – especially for the price you end up paying with the fees and taxes and cleaning fees stacked on top. Could've stayed at a really nice hotel close by and had a much better experience. The cottage is very mediocre. If things had worked better (as you are led to believe from the amenities listed in the description), our experience would have been much better. We were pretty disappointed. Oh, one positive-- the stream in the back was pretty.

Cute cabin very small. Bathroom is much like an RV bathroom and not on the private side. The cabin is cute and in a great location. There was some winter damage that hadn’t been repaired. Could have been more repaired this far into summer. Little unsafe as the porch had a big drop off. It was a pleasant stay but after fees not sure it is worth it.

Lovely Atmosphere

While the cabin is rustic, this was such a beautiful property and wonderful stay. We attended for a work conference and enjoyed the hot tub next to the stream and some much needed relaxation after some long training days. The beds were much more comfortable than expected and we all had plenty of room. The property owner was very responsive and great to reach out to check on us.

Felt like home

Four of us women stayed for 3 nights for a family girl's vacation. We thought the cottage was clean and comfortable with lots of room. It felt like home. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The couches and recliners were so comfortable we could have slept on them. The deck and hot tub were favorite hang-outs. The only thing that could have been better was the bathroom- a better mirror and a better shower head that didn't feel like a trickle. The bathroom was the only reason for four stars instead of 5. Everything else I'd give 5 stars.

I adore the location. I’m in love with the rushing stream out front!! My dog & I had an absolute blast! We had two of our 4 best adventures ever while staying here. The owner Pamela is actually a mentor, not just a host—her communication is so good! I hope to return as soon as possible! If I owned the cabin, I would immediately yank up all the carpet downstairs. I get that carpet upstairs reduces footstep noise. Even removing my hiking shoes in the entryway and wiping my dogs feet with wet-wipes, we still tracked dirt in - which the carpet seemed to hold onto no matter what! Also, carpet always irritates my allergies. Then I’d turn the downstairs room off the den (the one with the back door that opens onto the deck) into a master bedroom. I would turn the A-frame nook at the top of the stairs into a second bathroom with a soaker tub under the window, a larger shower, & of course a toilet. I think these changes would make a better use of the downstairs’ sort of wasted space (adding a more private master bedroom with a closing door and rooflines that don’t require stooping would be super), and another bathroom upstairs would increase functionality and value. I am willing to buy this cabin today if you’re ever selling because I’m now eager to become a fulltime Sundancer!! Thank you Pamela / vrbo for a transformative experience!

Great Escape

Splendid Little Holiday Hideaway

We loved our visit in this splendid little hideaway. Lynn was there to greet us and was very accommodating. It really was the perfect location and size for our family of eight to get away for a little Christmas break. We loved the wood-burning fireplace. It made it especially cozy. And the hot tub by the river really topped it off. The kitchen and everything was incredibly well-stocked. Considering the spectacular setting, the close proximity and all the options for various activities, we could not have asked for more. We hope to make this an annual tradition. PS... as winter visitors, our all-wheel and four-wheel vehicles were absolutely essential. With them, no problems.

Cozy and Comfortable Getaway

The cabin was clean and well maintained. It is nicely tucked away but easy to find. We had an owl sitting on the porch and a nearby tree almost the whole time we were there. The host was welcoming and responsive to our questions. We will be back again!

We were meandering through the trails and happened upon this quaint little cottage sitting so quietly in the meadow. The property around the cottage somehow made us think about building a Hobbit House here. The stumps, the stream and all the secret places sparked our imagination. We began playing with the idea and started collecting ideas and coming up with designs to build a Hobbit House. We discovered the property was for sale, but because we already had a project we put it on the back burner.

Early this spring I happened to check the listings for Sundance again and discovered the property had a reduction in price. We made an offer and purchased the property from the Watkins family. This was their summer get away and now they were ready to let it go.

After spending time at The Cottage, we realized it was so comfortable and had so much potential already - it just felt good. It made us feel like we were home so we decided to put The Hobbit House plans away for another Spring Project.

This is the second property in Properties That Make a Difference. The first is still being built just downstream with completion set for Spring, 2015. This property is so family-friendly, at Thanksgiving we cooked for 40 of our friends and family and everybody loved it. It feels like home.

When you walk to the entrance of The Cottage you will see two trees growing side by side near the front door. During the day in the spring time, right underneath the front windows you will see the yellow lilies gently blowing in the gentle breezes like a sea of yellow. Slightly to the left in the yard there is a dead stump that houses purple plants and every now and then a chipmunk pops his head out of the center. There is a unique little bench by the front door where you can view the meadow which is alive with creatures big and small. The resident owl perches in the nearby trees and you can hear him early in the morning hooting and in the evening right after sundown. The turkeys meander through the property pecking at who knows what every day and in the spring the newborns hustle behind their mommas to keep up. The deer drink from the stream, hanging out and then disappear into the trees. There are 2 resident bucks known as ‘The Brothers’ that frequently make an appearance. In the spring the meadow twinkles with butterflies of all colors and the hummingbirds begin looking for nectar. The plastic pink geraniums in the window box are reminiscent of times and people passed that were the guardians of this place. We respect and thank them for their creation.

Together this property and its’ companion property, The Treehouse Lodge on the Creek which is just a few steps up the road, can accommodate 25 people in beds plus outside sleeping in the summer.
