Venice Stay

Very cute apartment. It had everything we needed. Large kitchen that is very well stocked if you wanted to dine in. Nice large living area to gather in. Excellent restaurant across the street. We would recomend booking here.

The property exceeded our expectations.

This isn't your typical budget rental. The owner has exquisite taste, and the apartment is beautifully renovated. It features wooden floors, huge windows, and stylish high ceilings. Since we are a family of five with young children spending a week in Venice, we needed to have all the necessary amenities such as air conditioning, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a functioning shower. We were pleased to find that they were all working well. The property manager was very responsive, and we really appreciated the opportunity to have an early check-in and a late check-out. One slight downside was the cigarette smoke near the building entrance (a popular cafe is right in front of it). However, this apartment is still a gem, and all the pros outweigh this small con.

Spacious, clean and great location

Very nice, spacious and clean apartment in a great location. Onwer accepted us (2 adults with 2 small kids) about 1 week before arrival. Greeter gave us all the details we needed. First morning we woke up on very pleasant Venetian street music. What can be more relaxing. We will totally recommend the apartment to our friends and family.

Lovely apartment in a great area

The check in process was very good. Manolitas met us at San Stae stop and brought us to the apartment pointing out good places to eat on the way. She gave us all the information we needed and told us to contact her if there was any problems. Directly opposite our apartment was a great bar and beside it a great restaurant. Around the corner was the very lively Campo S. Giacomo da l'Orio which had more good restaurants and a supermarket with helpful staff. It also hosted volleyball games and on one night Latin dancing. Great place.

GREAT LOCATION - IDEAL FOR COUPLE OR A VERY SMALL FAMILY

A last minute trip and our second stay here. Some small mechanical issues but still a great place to stay for a couple or a small family. San Giacomo del Orio is a quiet area. There are two bars below that provide some noise late into the evening but never a bother to us.The beds were uncomfortable for my wife but not to me . The door didn't latch but this was easily remedied by throwing the bolt from the inside and leaving the key.

Enjoyed our stay

We loved the location minus the bar crowd that gathered outside our door every evening. Something to consider if you want to go to bed before 11:30 or so. Bedding was not comfortable and some amenities like toilet paper could not be found. Needed to purchase a few more products to get by. Again, loved the location and check in was easy and well explained minus details about sharing passports so that we were registered. Host was upset that we didn’t do this in time, but never explained that there was a timeline or instructions on how to do so prior to ache king in.

Peaceful stay, superb accomodation and services!

The apartment is spacious, clean, and nicely decorate. It is situated in a very nice quiet neighborhood across from a park, and it is about 20 min walk to museums, galleries, churches, trams, train station and many good restaurants as well as excellent shopping areas. It is clean, bright and has all that one requires. The owner was very helpful and informative. We highly recommend this apartment and will certainly return. Thank you for hosting us! The Hau family

Spacious apartment, Great Location & Accommodating Management

Venice is awesome (of course!) And the location is soooo central. Our apartment was really spacious with fantastic art all over the place. We were disappointed at first to learn that the washing machine was broken… as we had been traveling a long time and desperately needed to wash our clothes!! Unfortunately, we had to spend one of our few afternoons at the local laundromat. The management did everything they could to help us with the situation. They even reimbursed us for the cost of the laundry. As other reviews have mentioned… There is an extremely vivacious bar down below the bedroom window. It is not possible to have the windows open at this location unless you want to be eaten up by mosquitoes! Also, as Americans… We have learned during our very long travels, that we are very, very spoiled with our creature comforts at home!!

The apartment was great - really nicely furnished, very comfortable, around the corner from a lovely quiet neighborhood piazza and not too far from the water bus stop, trattorias, and grocery shopping. The greeter who met us at the water bus and took us to the apartment was wonderful - chatty and friendly, and gave us lots of great information. Our interactions with the apartment owners and with the Venetian managers was good - everyone was responsive, clear, welcoming, and helpful. The only downside is that the apartment living room and bedroom windows open on to a narrow street with a bar right across from the apartment. The bar does close at 11 pm - which is great - but in the evenings when the bar was busy the cigarette smoke and noise came directly into the apartment, so we had to close the shutters and windows. The windows did shut out the smoke and noise - but it wasn't pleasant to have to sit in the apartment with all windows closed.

Great location, host very rude.

The property is as advertised. Great Central location and an easy Walk to most areas. The bar across the street is loud until about 11pm but not too bad. The biggest complaint I have is the host service. We had Fabrizio meet us at the prearranged location. We had agreed we would meet him there at 7:45 and had multiple emails to this agreement. When we were ready to take the boat from the airport we called him as requested and told him we were on our way. He was upset and said he had already been waiting for over an hour. I explained our meeting time was sent for 7:45 and we would be there as soon as the boat arrived. He was still upset and wanted us to take a very expensive private transport so he could be done earlier. When we did meet him at 7:50 he was very condescending and said multiple times we should have taken a faster boat. I showed him the email with the meeting time and he said that doesn't matter he expected us sooner, scolding me like a child. The next evening we had trouble with the lock on the door and called him for help. We were locked out. He answered and became agitated we were bothering him, told me not to call back and hung up on me! We were locked out! After a frantic half hour we were finally able to get the broken key out and got in with the spare. Because of this man I would not recommend staying here.

Disappointing experience

We were disappointed in our stay for a number of reasons: - followed instructions to notify of our arrival but no one was there to meet us. Waited about 20 minutes then called the person who was supposed to meet us. He didn’t get the message (from vrbo app) but came ASAP which was another 30 minutes - as a family of 5 (teems) we were excited there were 3 single beds for the kids. However one was a cot. When my daughter lied on it she fell through! One of the boards was missing & another was broken. We told housekeeping & when we didn’t hear back messaged one of the contacts. Housekeeping told them my son jumped on the bed & broke it! We were so angry about the accusation & they wanted to charge us to replace the cot! - when we arrived 1 bath towel & 2 hand towels were provided. We had been travelling for a couple of days & thought this was all they provided! After 3 of us showered Housekeeping showed up with all the towels & a pillow case they forgot to put on. And that pillow was gross - looked old & stuffing was falling out. - the bed in the master bedroom was so hard i severe lower back pain after sleeping on it! On our 3rd & last night I slept on 2 living rooms chairs pushed together (couldn’t sleep on the couch because one of the kids was there due to the broken cot). - only 1 light worked in the kids bedroom - a bedside lamp. - television didn’t or maybe the remote was broken. - missing basics like dish cloths & towels - pluses: location & clean

Très bon emplacement, logement passable

Le logement est très bien situé, en plein centre de Venise. Il est idéal pour un couple, les lits d’appoint étant petits et placés l’un à côté de l’autre contre un mur. Le troisième lit d’appoint, pliant, est moins confortable (une latte était cassée) mais adapté à un enfant. Le logement est bien équipé pour cuisiner ou laver le linge. La salle de bain, à défaut d’être confortable, est longue (!). La communication avec Irene était parfaite. Très aimable et réactive. Seul point négatif: l’appartement était très poussiéreux à notre arrivée. Je ne sais pas si le ménage avait été fait mais j’ai rarement vu une location aussi poussiéreuse.

Esperienza discreta

Tutto discretamente bene. Buona la comunicazione con la persona che gestiva l’immobile per conto del proprietario. La pulizia non molto bene. L’arredamento e il bagno da rivedere. Locale chiassoso davanti allo stabile che da decisamente fastidio con vociare ininterrottamente dalle 20 alle 23. Grazie al cielo i buoni infissi hanno attutito il rumore. La posizione abbastanza buona e ben servita da ristoranti market e bar…

Ich habe mir ALLE bisherigen Bewertungen angesehen und war erstaunt. Hervorragend? Das kann ich überhaupt nicht verstehen. Ich hatte gebeten englisch zu kommunizieren, wurde aber auf französisch 'angesprochen'. Es wurden detaillierte Informationen angekündigt - wo sind sie geblieben? Zum Beispiel über die Müllentsorgung. Die schon vor Jahren angesprochenen Mängel gab es immer noch. Bei den Mietpreisen hatten wir hatten wir etwas mehr Engagement der Vermieter erwartet.
