Dieses Haus ist neu renoviert. Es hat eine schöne Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln zum Essen im Freien, Sonnenbaden oder Genießen der wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge. Sie betreten vom Deck aus einen offenen Wohn- / Küchen- / Essbereich. Viele Fenster machen dieses Haus sonnig und luftig. Es gibt eine voll ausgestattete Pantryküche mit Herd, Kühlschrank,
Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine. Es gibt eine Ausziehcouch, einen Fernseher, WLAN und einen kleinen Tisch und Stühle zum Essen. Das Badezimmer befindet sich auf dieser Ebene und verfügt über ein Dachfenster und eine große geflieste Dusche. Das Queensize-Bett befindet sich auf der unteren Ebene und verfügt über weiße Fliesenböden und 4 Fenster, die für viel Licht und Luft sorgen. Dieses Ferienhaus ist perfekt für 2-3 Personen.
Neue Reservierungen für die folgende Saison werden ab dem 1. November akzeptiert. Wöchentliche Anmietungen sind während der Sommersaison (Ende Juni bis Anfang September) erforderlich. 2 Nite Minimum außerhalb der Saison erforderlich.

Great little spot on a great little island

I believe this was our 4th time staying here and we already booked for next year. Perfect spot for 2 people. Small but cozy. Very good location on the island. Close to The Oar. The deck is a nice spot to relax after a day at the beach or hiking trails.

A cottage built for two

The location with the large pond was very picturesque and the pond is perfect for fishing in my opinion. The accommodations are large enough for a couple and the on demand hot water is more than adequate. The only down side was the well pump was rather loud and I prefer a gas grill rather than a charcoal grill for quick, eat in meals.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time at Karen’s cottage. The location was great and the grounds were peaceful. It was a perfect place for my husband, young daughter and I for a long weekend. We hope to come back again soon.

Lovely little place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Foc'sle cottage. It's well equipped, we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage is optimally positioned on the property as well as perfectly located on the island. Not too far from town.

Great location. Close to restaurants and water sports. Beautiful deck. Would be a bit tight if the weather wasn’t good, but we had a perfect summer stay!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

Great little cottage with views of the pond and ocean from the deck. 10 minute bike ride to great beaches, restaurants and the center of town. Very simple, but has everything you need for a cozy stay.

Tiny and easily fixable atributes

Very nice. Nice porch. Minimal water views. Slightly weird adaptation in a small place. We were looking for such a place. No dish washer. Down fall of visit was no internet access or TV reception. Owner attempted hardily to rectify issues but no resolution or offer to compensate. Needed 2 towels and had no soap.

Beautiful cottage, great location

First off Karen was wonderful to work with. Clear communication and expectations from the beginning. The cottage was the perfect size for my family and super cute. We loved the view and pond behind the property. You also get a small ocean view through the main windows. Location is great. Close to New Harbor and walking distance to a playground and trails at Ball O’Brian park. You can also walk down Champlin Road all the way to the beach. Just lovely. We will absolutely book with Sweet Retreat moving forward!

Great little cottage

We really enjoy this cottage. It’s perfect for a couple’s getaway. It’s just enough space for 2 or 3 and still allows for an affordable vacation to the Island which is rare these days. The surrounding property is beautiful. Good deer watching at night. The house has it quirks but that’s what we like about it. As long as you understand you’re not booking a 5 star hotel you’ll enjoy it too. I definitely recommend it.

Cozy lovely cottage

The house was so cozy and cute! The views of the ponds front and back were so lovely. Nice privacy surrounding this cottage. Much nicer then just a hotel "room"!! A perfect location and everything we needed was there for a very comfortable stay. Karen was helpful with anything we needed!

An extended stay on Block Island …

The property we initially stayed in - Foc’sle - was exactly as advertised. Quirky, charming and in a great location. The owners were extremely responsive and we very much enjoyed our stay. Then, the morning of our departure, a storm hit and all ferries were cancelled for days on end. (As I wrote this, morning ferries have been cancelled again.) In response, the owners have allowed us to extend our stay in one of the other houses on the property for as long as we needed. Which is how 2 days came to be 5 and counting. I could go on about the property and the owners, but the reality is that I can’t find enough kind words to say about Karen, who has simply been magnificent to us under circumstances that are extremely unusual, to say the least.

Block Island cottage

Nice cottage in good location; quiet, off the beaten path. Great porch for enjoying the pond and view of new harbor. Owner, Glenn, gave us apples from the property which was a lovely jester. I think they have had numerous guests without a lot of common sense because there are signs everywhere, like please have shower curtain in shower base. The cottage is rustic so expect that.

Cozy Cottage with everything we needed

What a delightful rural feel to this getaway that was only a short drive to Town. My husband and I loved the brightness, soothing blue/aqua/white decor, cleanliness, and the rustic white-washed stone walls in the bedroom downstairs. It was lovely to have our lunch on the deck, overlooking the grass and pond - even had a neighbor's cow meander across the lawn one morning. Our hosts were always quick to respond to little questions we had both before and during our stay. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and hope to return some day. Many thanks!

Cozy and charming

Cute Cottage with distinctive touches. Loved the stone walled bedroom. The dehumidifier being on might be a problem for some but it muffled my snoring and allowed my wife to sleep better! Nicely stocked kitchen saved us a few bucks on eating out. Conveniently located near town but not too close to be overwhelmed with tourists. Great place to stay for the money on Block Island.
