Dune Flower ist eines von vier Häusern, die als Mendocino Coast Dunes Retreat bekannt sind. Das nautische Thema dieser Scheune-like "Guest House" beginnt außerhalb und lädt Sie ein.

Ein gemütliches Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer befinden sich zu Ihrer Linken. Der Gas-Kamin befindet sich zwischen dem Wohnzimmer und dem Wohnzimmer. Der Wohnbereich ist offen und geräumig, charmant dekoriert, um Sie in Strandstimmung zu versetzen. Es gibt auch einen privaten Whirlpool.

Es gibt keine voll ausgestattete Küche, aber die Küchenzeile bietet einen kleinen Mini-Kühlschrank (ohne Gefrierfach), eine Mikrowelle, einen Toaster (aber keinen normalen Ofen) und eine kleine Kochplatte mit zwei Kochfeldern, so dass Sie leicht einen Snack zubereiten können .

Nehmen Sie den Weg, der zum MacKerricher State Park und Strand am Ende der Privatstraße führt. Sobald Sie die Wanderung (15-20 Minuten) zu den Dünen machen, werden Sie von einem Panoramablick auf unberührte Dünen und den Meerblick begrüßt - ideal für ruhige Spaziergänge, Picknicks und das Kommunizieren mit der natürlichen Schönheit Ihrer Umgebung. Sie können sogar Ihre Hunde mitbringen, es f��llt jedoch eine geringe Gebühr an.

Komm zurück zu Dune Blumen und genießen Sie die Feuerstelle außerhalb (Brennholz ist nicht vorgesehen). Dieser kleine "Kurzurlaub" ist perfekt für eine einzelne Person oder ein Paar.

Sie müssen Kontakt mit uns aufnehmen, um mehr als einen Hund zur Reservierung hinzuzufügen, sofern dies zulässig ist. $ 20 pro Hund und Nacht. Wenn Haustiere erlaubt sind, ist die Gebühr für den ersten Hund in den Gesamtkosten enthalten.

Parkmöglichkeiten: Parken Sie bitte auf dem ausgewiesenen Parkplatz in der letzten Einfahrt am Ende der Straße rechts.

Zugang zum Wasser: Der Zugang zu den unberührten Dünen und dem Strand des Mackerricher State Park ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Ende der Privatstraße entfernt, 15 bis 20 Minuten zu Fuß.

My single vacation

Cabin itself was clean, a couple of cobwebs. Outside patio, chairs, windows, and skilights could have been cleaner. Futon was really uncomfortable to sit on. Marking to find cabin needs to be more clear in directions. Overall, nice for short stay.

Beautiful and quaint but not when it’s raining

The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome. But unlike the rest of my family I packed rain boots and didn’t have an issue. The area was serene the hike to the beach definitely a crows mile, we didn’t ever end up making it there as the kids gave up and we turned around and ended up driving to the beach. We definitely would stay there again.

Just as pictured

The home was very cute with a nice and quiet location. It was nice to have a spacious open layout. The Wi-Fi was extremely spotty and the bathroom door was a collapsible panel type, so make sure you’re comfortable with you’re staying with lol. The trek through the dunes to the private beach was just that, a trek, but it was worth it when we got there with no one else around. Extremely nice to have dishes and a full fridge/freezer plus the microwave and a toaster oven. The bedroom was pretty compact but comfortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we would come back again.

Cute place - dog friendly

This place was cute but I should have paid better attention when booking. Bed was full size. Bathroom door was a flimsy thin plastic accordion door that didn’t latch all the way…didn’t leave much to the imagination. Quite a few spiders and spiderwebs on walls and low ceiling around the bed. Also checkout was pretty early… 10 am. On a better note: fridge/freezer worked great, yard area was very nice, internet worked well, it was very quiet, they provided fans for air movement/white noise at night. Probably wouldn’t return but it wasn’t too bad.

Nice little cabin in the woods, but not a dog beach

This was a cute little place for a single or small group to stay. The location is close to 10 Mile Beach, although it requires a hike across dunes to get to the beach itself. Plan your walking route with care--some routes are better than others. I realized after the fact that dogs were not allowed on this beach, an important consideration for those staying at this dog friendly lodging. I suspect that most dog owners booking this unit are expecting a beach walk...There is a spacious lawn for dog potty breaks but no fenced-in area and all outdoor activities require a leash. The decor is a bit kitschy but the cabin is cozy and bed comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied, just be aware there is a hot plate and toaster oven instead of the full appliances. The tap water tastes great! There is a smell to the place upon arrival--a bit musty or like moth balls? It either dissipated two days in or I became used to it.

Beautiful Get Away!

Loved our stay at the sweet Dune Flower Cabin. All the amenities were there for our family of three, and our pooch. I have a small disagreement with the advertising, as the hot tub and fire pit were listed as part of the vacation rental. I was quite surprised by our itemized bill of the hidden fees of the hot tub (which we didn't use, due to the high chlorine content), and owners fees. I would have appreciated these fees to be listed within the nightly rental amount. If the amount were increased of the featured nightly rate, due to these fees I would have made my plans accordingly. Furthering, this note, is the advertisement of dog-friendly beach. It is not, as dogs are not allowed on the beach, due to the bird sanctuary maintained by the Audubon Society there. We would like to say, thank you for your cabin, and our pleasant stay we enjoyed our get away together!

Too expensive for what was offered

I love the Fort Bragg area either camping, B/B, or the hotels at Pudding Creek. I thought this rental would be a great find, but the expense of the rental, service fee, cleaning fee, taxes, etc... was greater than what the rental is worth. The dishes and pans were dirty. The nonstick skillets could not be used due to damage. The hot plate and electric skillet were dirty and oily (the only way to cook since there is not a stove/oven). The bed, a "Queen" is more like a double. The futon was uncomfortable to sleep on since the mattress was so thin. The spa had a thick, oily tan substance around the waterline. The propane stove/heater took 24 hrs to work, we followed all the instructions. The TV/DVD/VHS was not functioning, it took 30 mins to troubleshoot the problem. Lights did not work or were burned out. No garbage tote was left to put out the trash. The screen door to the patio was stuck between the wood sliding doors so it could not be used and the slider was stuck. The instructions inside the rental did not match the rental itself (codes were wrong). The bathroom has a small toilet and shower, which for most people causes some difficulty. There is only a plastic slide partition so there is not privacy, you can hear everything, does not close correctly, and about 2" of space at the bottom. Doors, knobs, and drawers throughout rental were difficult to maneuver. We attempted to notify VaCasa, but were on hold for > 15 mins and the landline lost it's charge. No cell service at times or unreliable. The one gem, the area is quiet and secluded from the other homes. FYI, not a paved road so don't wash your car first and it is a considerable walk via the sand dunes to the beach...better to drive.

Where is the beach.

You can’t walk to beach. Bed was smaller than a double and hard as a rock. Patio furniture was badly rusted and not inviting. TV broken no cable. Very clean but many things were worn out. Too much money for what we got.

Dune Flower

My spouse and I, along with our two dogs. stayed a couple of nights at Dune Flower cottage. We had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. It was cozy and very clean. There was a nice lawn to play with our dogs. The wifi was great so we stayed connected. There are beautiful dunes to explore behind the cottages but no dogs allowed in the dunes and it is quite a trek if you plan on getting to the beach there. Hidden Beach is just up the road and a great place to take your dogs! We had a lovely time in Fort Bragg and Mendocino. I would recommend these cottages located on a quiet lane.

Quiet bungalow on Beal lane, Fort Bragg

a small cozy well decorated place in a very quiet neighborhood. a couple of notes: only has a hot plate, no laundry appliances and toilet is very short and small. not easy for tall people to use the toilet. I like the place other than the above comments. would use again if toilet was upgraded.

Place is great! I wish the futon was more updated and the master bed could have been bigger. We had some issue with the toilet but it was manageable. Overall the place is great! We would come back again!

Life is a Beach!!

We had sunshine and we had rain and enjoyed all aspects of the beach and weather. Toured the lighthouse, did Trees of Mystery and the aquarium. Would have liked to have rented scooters, but could not find the place. An inhouse list provided by the host would be nice of things to do and GOOD restaraunts nearby, just a suggestion.
