Unser Haus liegt im Südosten von Sizilien, auf dem Land, in der Nähe von Rosolini, zwischen den Provinzen von Syrakus und Ragusa. Und "strategischen Punkt der UNESCO Kulturerbe-Stadt von großem künstlerischen, architektonischen und natürlichen zu besuchen. Es befindet sich 18 km von Modica, berühmt für seine barocken Kirchen und die typische Schokolade; 35 km von Ragusa und Scicli reich an barocken Denkmälern. Ein paar Minuten ist man in der schönen Stadt Noto, der Hauptstadt des Barock sein wird; 40 'Minuten ist man an der Syracuse, Dionysius und der antiken Stadt Archimedes, mit dem griechischen Theater sein wird, dem Sitz alle zwei Jahre der klassischen Aufführungen und auf der Insel Ortigia, dem ältesten Teil der Stadt. Ein paar Minuten erreichen Sie das Ionische Meer (Marzamemi, Eloro und Vendicari) oder das Mittelmeer mit schönen Stränden und goldenen Sanddünen. Der Block wurde durch Art typisch sizilianischen ländlichen Steinhaus mit Steinmauern und jahrhundertealten Olivenbäumen und Johannisbrot umgeben gebaut. Der Naturgarten und die Früchte des Gartens wird der Aufenthalt der Gäste erfreuen. Die Struktur ist umweltfreundlich: thermoventilierte Dächer und isoliert mit Kork, elektrischer Photovoltaik, Sonnenkollektoren und Biomassekessel für Heizung und Warmwasser.
Die Wohnung, die wir im ersten Stock anbieten, ist "La Mansarda": Küche, 2 Schlafzimmer: eines mit einem Doppelbett und das andere mit zwei 1 ½ quadratischen Betten, die in ein Kingsize-Bett umgewandelt werden können ein Badezimmer und eine private Terrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen. Die Zimmer sind mit Klimaanlage und Heizung ausgestattet, mit Bettwäsche begleitet und Handtücher inklusive.

Dieses Ferienhaus in Rosolini liegt in ländlicher Umgebung. Porto di Pozzallo ist einen Ausflug wert, wenn du etwas unternehmen möchtest. Wer lieber die Natur bewundern möchte, sollte Folgendes besuchen: Strand von Eloro und Strand von San Lorenzo. Beim Windsurfen und beim Angeln kannst du die umliegende Wasserwelt erkunden oder aber du stürzt dich beim Mountainbiken und bei einer Öko-Tour ganz in der Nähe in ein Abenteuer mit festem Boden unter den Füßen.

Erholsame und herzliche sizilianische Auszeit

Wir haben einen sehr schönen und interessanten Urlaub im Südosten Siziliens verbracht. Die Vermieter Miriam und Giovanni sind herzliche und diskrete Gastgeber. Das Ferienobjekt ist in einem Top-Zustand und der Ausblick, der Pool und der Garten sind traumhaft. Die Ferienwohnung ist für 4 Personen ideal und die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen und Strandaufenthalte. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Ganz lieben Dank für die herzliche Aufnahme als Gäste.

„traumhaft schön“

Miriam und Giovanni sind die perfekten Gastgeber mit ihrer Herzlich- und Fürsorglichkeit. Wir haben uns sodortb und rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Anwesen ist traumhaft schön mit seinem Weitblick, dem Pool und die Ruhe. Wir haben von dort aus richtig schöne Radtouren machen können. Mit dem Auto sind die z. B. die Städte Noto und Sirakus auch leicht zu erreichen. Wir sagen herzliches Dankeschön für diese gelungene Auszeit in Eurem Paradies.

Eine Oase in der Pampa

Giovanni und Miriam sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Anwesen ist sehr schön, wir durften aus dem Garten ernten. Die Fewo war sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Für 2 Personen hatten wir viel Platz. Es ist sehr ruhig und man gewöhnte sich daran, dass es mitten auf kargem Land steht. Auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert. Lg von Kerstin und Dagmar!!

Great home away from home experience in the countryside with easy access to baroque Sicily

Miriam and Giovanni are great hosts, offering a nice base for great excursions in the south-east of Sicily providing not only good home-made Sicilian food (breakfast and dinnner on request) but also great hospitality and warmth. The house is immaculately clean, warm (good heating for cooler temperatures) and equipped with nearly everything you'd need. There is also a number of friendly dogs and cats waiting for your attention. You can buy wine, jams, pasta sauces, pestos and other home-made products. A car is needed. Wi-Fi works well. Sicily's baroque gems Modica, Ragusa, Noto and Scifi are all within easy reach as is Syracuse. The area around the house as such is not very good for hiking, but there is (at least) one exception: Don't miss the Cava d'Ispica gorge starting at nearby Ipsica's Parco Archeologico Forza – a great trail between towering rock walls with many caves and holes, which is supposed to be 13 km long (I'm not sure if the trail stetches the whole length, though). Recommended!

Ein kleines Paradies

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit im Haus von Miriam und Giovanni. Das Haus und das Grundstück sind großzügig, zutrauliche Tiere bieten zudem ein Gefühl von ' zu Hause sein' . Beautiful Sicilia

Giovanni and Miriam are gracious and thoughtful hosts with an impeccable property. The home had all of the necessities we needed, located close to daily needs and the property along with the pool were incredible. The house is located in an isolated area but close to many beautiful towns in southern Sicily, such as Noto, Siracusa, Ragusa, and Modica. The town of Rossolini is also beautiful at night with nice restaurants and a vibrant community. Will definitely look to return to stay with Giovanni and Miriam.

Perfect stay with perfect hosts

We stayed for four nights in this beautiful country house in Rossolini near places like Noto, Pozzallo, Modica and Ragusa. We enjoyed a very fine and modern swimmingpool and a lot of space. There were some lovely animals like cats, dogs, a peacock and a couple of turkeys. Miriam en Giovanni are perfect hosts and they gave us a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. We will be back!

What a wonderful spot to stay while exploring Southeastern Sicily. Miriam and Giovanni are ideal hosts - they are kind, patient, accommodating, and responsive. Rosolini - a lovely place to stay

We loved staying in Rosolini. The house is fantastic - really spacious and well equipped and we the terraces were lovely - 3 on different levels so we could really spread out if we wanted to. The kids also really enjoyed swimming off the rocks just round the corner from the house and going to the little harbour to get an ice cream in the evening.

Countryside delight

The couple who own the property live on the property and are a delight! They grow their own vegetables and make their own wine which is all organic. The setting, pool and outdoor space, are beautiful and much attention is spent on upkeep of property. The whole experience was wonderful! A home away from home!

La location ben curata è in un contesto fuori paese, in piena campagna... I proprietari sono fantastici! Accoglienti gentili disponibili! Casazza exceeded our expectations. Miriam & Giovanni are excellent hosts & the casa is beautiful.

The casa is well equipped for a comfortable stay and the location is good. We took day trips to Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Schicli. Cava Ispicia & the coastal nature reserve. A car is necessary; the property is in the country side but there are services nearby. However, the best part is the warm welcome from Miriam, Giovanni & their friendly animals.

Miriam and Giovanni have created a lovely place to chill out. Great facilities immaculately kept.

We spent a lot of time chilling on the private terrace which we shared with three very gentle dogs and two cats. The property is well located. Easy drive to the coast and to the Baroque towns of Ragusa ,Scicli and Noto. All very different. Siracusa is a bit further away but an easy drive aswell.As Montalbano fans we also visited his fictional house at Punta Secca , the Vigata police station which is in Scicli and other locations from the series. You can also buy their produce which includes wine olives oil and some very tasty Sicilan sweets. As a birdwatcher the Vindicari nature reserve was heaven with Greater Flamingoes. But it also has a great beach and a nice bistro type restaurant. Easy drive from Catania airport to the house . Supermarkets a five minute drive away. Granita to die for.

A little slice of heaven

The farm house is far enough away from Rosolini and from any roads to enjoy an unbroken peace. You approach through an unpromising looking waste land, but that disappears the moment you enter the the gate when all your aware of is the lovely courtyard and house. At the other side of the house from the front gate and courtyard the view unfolds across the property's extensive land which is being gradually planted as an orchard for olives and citrus fruits. From this field the eye is taken out across unspoiled cultivated land to the sea glinting in the distance. We stayed in January and our living space was kept pleasantly warm. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and well appointed as well as spotlessly clean. The south-facing terrace meant that even in January we were able to enjoy breakfast outside and admire the view. Miriam and Giovanni are truly kind and gracious people. Throughout our stay Miriam would present us with offerings of homemade Sicilian produce such as biscuits, and dried tomatoes. (She makes and sells preserves and their home-produced wine is delicious and modestly priced.) They offer a hospitality that comes from the heart. They do everything to make you feel welcome and to ensure your comfort and well being. Our hosts' children are now grown up and live independently but there is still a delightful family of animals - two dogs and three cats. All the animals are as friendly as their owners and we really enjoyed their company, as well as that of the hens, the cockerel and the goose. The local towns of Ispica and Rosolini are peaceful towns with pleasant squares and streets. They are virtually tourist free and offer a delightful, authentic experience of the Sicilian way of life. The farm house is very well placed to make excursions to the coast, to world-class nature reserves, to the nearby cave dwellings, dating back to the Neolithic, and to the magnificent Baroque towns, all within an hour's drive. The farmhouse feels as if it has always been there. But In fact Miriam and Giovanni have built it from scratch on a traditional model using reclaimed materials from ruined houses in the area. It does them huge credit that they have created this little slice of heaven on what formerly would have been no more than stony land. This is certainly as lovely as any place we have stayed in over 30 years of frequently travelling in the Mediterranean.

The perfect combination: the welcome, the house and the location

Miriam and Giovanni are the perfect hosts. Beside sharing pleasant conversations, they suggested really nice places to visit in the region. You may decide to spend the day on the terrasse of this beautiful house and its peaceful surroundings which makes it a quiet paradise that one can enjoy. It also makes a perfect location if you decide to discover the region with its UNESCO baroque cities, the fishing villages or the many hidden treasures. We totally recommend this corner of paradise in Sicily.

Our house is in the south-east of Sicily, in the country side, in the surroundings of Rosolini, between Ragusa and Siracusa. Its location is strategic to visit world heritage cities and places of interest for architecture, art and nature. Rosolini can be reached with public transports (bus or train), however, because we live in the countryside, we recommend to have own transport.
Our house is located at:
• 18km from Modica, famous for its baroque churches and its traditional chocolate;
• 35 km from Ragusa and Scicli and their historic monuments, filmed in the popular fiction “Commissario Montalbano”.
• Few kilometres away from the stunning city of Noto, baroque capital of Sicily.
• 40 minutes drive from Siracusa, Archimedes’ and Dionis city, famous for its Greek theatre and the characteristic neighbourhood of Ortigia.
• Few minutes drive from both the Ionic Sea (Marzamemi, Eloro, Vendicari reserve) and the Mediterranean coast with its golden sand beaches (Pozzallo and Marina d’Ispica).
As we live in the same building, we offer our time and advice to guests to help facilitate them to explore the areas nearby and to get to know sicilian typical products. On request, we prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner using traditional products of our production: olive oil, wine, preserves, homemade sour dough bread and pasta. We are experienced in preparing meals for people with food intollerances or allergies.We also have a organic garden at diposition. We love animals and we have three cats, two dogs, hens and geese that live freely. The structure is entirely eco-sustainable. We care about saving energy and eco-sustainability.
The guests have access to all the exterior parts of the house (verandas and lounge area, barbecue area and garden).
